I don't get it, why is is that your channel so underrated. The lessons are really useful and i have been watching them for a while now.
seriously....
@PinoyCossToin yes because title is not what most people will search
Sir, you have single handedly saved my statics grade. I got a 95 on my last test just because of your videos. Thank you so much!
-Why do typically we bend around X-axis?
Jeff: Because, Gravity sucks!
😂😂😂
My teacher used your videos to supplement his material in Strength of Materials. A year and a half later I'm rewatching some to review topics for the FE exam. Thank you!
Like you said, we use the moment of inertia in solids. I'm back here getting a refresher now that we're covering the flexural formula. Thank you so much for all your help in statics and now solids.
Thanks for making such great content! You helped me get through Mechanics of Materials and now I’m using your videos to review for the FE exam. Absolute lifesaver!
Hey Jeff, Thanks for an easy to follow and to the point lesson on the moment of Inertia.
I wish to have a lecturer like this. My lecturer just read the what in the slide during online class
THIS CHANNEL MUST BE HEARD!!
Literally the only reason I pass statics! Thanks
love your videos, very informative and easy to follow
Thank you so much!!! these videos are such a life saver!
Professor Hanson, thank you for an awesome Introduction to the Area Moment of Inertia. This topic is also introduce in Engineering Physics One.
Great program and enjoy your teaching to explain structures! Like your jokes as well!
Happy New Year!
Fantastic video - thank you!
no one:
Jeff Hanson: OCTZLI0
funny "'Oh, they're all letters!'..... no, that's not what I was going for."

Thank you for saving my statics grade , much love.
best physics teacher, everything is explained so simply
Mr Hanson your videos are very helpful, thank you so much
You deserve love bigger than whole word!
You are the best professor ! Thanks a lot
Thanks prof. Ur videos are lifesavers during exam times.lots of respect for you from India 🇮🇳 👏
Enjoy your videos!
I am studying for my architectural exam - structures .
I graduated Pratt Institute with BArch degree but my career has been focused on design. Due to the job market, I want to finally get my architecture license.
It would be great if you can discuss additional architectural problems - maybe columns , footings and more beams.(wood steel concrete )
PS - Love 80’s music so you can tell my age group, but consider myself a student of life and enjoy learning - even relearning !
Again, thank you for the positive energy videos!
Your teaching style , I loved.
Thank you for your engineering lectures. Very useful for students like me.
I was expecting a secret mind blowing trick tip when you typed OCTZLIO on the screen
Thank you so much for the Statics help! You explain things so well!
Glad you like them!
Great video, thank you
Final is tomorrow and I'm doing some last minute review. Thanks for uploading these videos!
nice video man!!
thanks so much 🙏🙏
i really really thank you for this video you made my day
🤩🥰 GENIUS !
Dr. Hanson can you pretty please do Principle of Virtual Work. Unfortunately our University tests on Principle of Virtual work.
In any properly organized universe, the moments of inertia of all these beams would be in alphabetical order of cross-section. :D
Thank you very much! Your the only reason I'm probably not gonna fail my exam after tomorrow! Probably... :/
My 95 year old professor makes everything so complicated and I only passed statics because of this guy.
I went from below 50’s on the exam to an 86 on the last exam from these videos- wish I had known them sooner
thank u sm
From Bangladesh,
Good class.
I always tell people the best lectures are on youtube not in the lecture hall.
God Bless you Sir, I'm watching your videos before my final tomorrow and I feel at peace. May jesus bless you more abundantly sir for your gracious help to others.
great sir.... your explanation was practical ..... instead of just theory and formulas, you explained its application
Bending around z axis, Ughhh! 😂 Tnx for this topic.
good
I really feel safe when he said don't scared of Integral
"and then there is i what the is I !!??"😂was totally my reaction when I saw this for the first time

Congrats on the new amazon book.
Thanks so much! I’m very proud of it
heavy fog cleared from my eyes😯👍👍
HI sir, there is a question I think I do it correctly but I cant get the answer as answer scheme given. Can help me check?
Neutral axis vrs centroid difference sir pliz
so when doing 2nd area moment do we only consider the face of the beam n use the equation (so not the side view) ?
Because MOI is a geometric property of the cross section.
@@1234jhanson oh thanks
Which statics book are you referring to? I have a book from R.C Hibbeler
Edit: nevermind, I know now from lesson 68 :)
very impressive, mind blowing lectures. Voice is not clear Prof. It is really difficult to listen.
Ramon and Lauren send their thanks uwu
What age group of students is this aimed at?
Cause gravity sucks omgggg I love this guy
Sir your videos are really good and I can understand from you . But can you please while teaching choose easy words while talking cuz English is my second language and I really would like if you put auto translation in Arabic and I' ll be thankful. love from Egypt❤❤.
What happened to your older lessons?
Someone didn’t like them so I had to replace them all
@@1234jhanson :(
Hello sir, I do want to request some help on virtual work since my class is learning this 😅
why did i discover you hours before my final
hope you made it :'>
welcome Curtin Malaysia mech e student , I'm pretty sure we are confuse af in mommy Anna class
my lord -- u r execellent = which university ? =which country ? = amarjit - india
Texas Tech University! Come on over!
I’m pretty sure all those beams you listed cost over $10,000.
i dont gets

Missed opportunity to spell OCTILZ

those three dislikes looking kinda sus
OCTZ LIOOOOOO
Imma name kid with this name , God bless you Jeff

too many ads :(
Sorry, that is CZcams, not me.
idk why we learn this, I mean who even created physics,
2 whole page of formulas and explanations just to explain how a ball rolls, this is stupid.
How would you explain how a ball rolls, then? Of course, it rolls down the ramp, but do you have a better way of predicting how fast it rolls, and an explanation of why your method works?
It may seem stupid (in the sense that its practical application may not be immediately obvious) for something as seemingly simple as a ball rolling, but that is just a simple example to use as a building block to understand something more important. Like designing a roller coaster so it is thrilling and safe for passengers to ride.
Hey Jeff, Thanks for an easy to follow and to the point lesson on the moment of Inertia.
