- In this video we introduce the second moment of area / inertia and its significance in the behaviour of a structure, learning how to determine the second moment of inertia for a region relative to a centroidal axis, and we finish by introducing the Parallel Axis Theorem and seeing how we can use this to compute the second moment of inertia for complex regions.

Excellent explanation
Another great video. Thanks for the upload.
You're welcome, I'm glad to hear you're getting value from the videos 🙂
Cheers mate
Thanks for that incredible but
Please my problem is with how you got the limits
isnt it second moment of area?
Why d^2 ?
good job
Thank you!
why do we use KN/m^2 instead of Kg/m^2 or tonn/m^2 ,Can someone give me a resonable answer ?
I guess bcz this is not from usa
I think it's because the standard fomular for stress is force/area hence KN/m²
Why do we multiply by b?
da= b*dy
why we square the term
Same question buddy 😢
