    As a runner who is training for a marathon, these foam rollers czcams.com/users/postUgkx9XSsjzA4f84VmhBCHlyhec7XILIxennL are really good for sore and tight muscles. This one is a good size (mine is the purple, 36 inches) not too big but big enough to work and roll both my legs at the same time - I took a photo holding the roller next to me just to provide a better representation of its size. I noticed some reviewers who complained that this is, “just a foam noodle”… and yes, that’s exactly what it is. It’s a high density foam roller. It is absolutely NOT the same consistency/strength/durability/ or texture as a ‘pool noodle’ thought and I disagree entirely with those that say so. As a former collegiate athlete and marathon runner, I’m comfortably giving this roller 5 stars. It’s lightweight and durable and does just what I need it to do at a budget-friendly price. Overall, I have no complaints and am happy with it!

    Great class. I have the roller and use it for massage only just started using it for the exercise. I tried one before but much too advanced. This was much more doable.

    My foam roller is too firm. What is the brand name of the roller and is the roller a soft density roller? Nice video. Thank you.

      OPTP has white ones that are great. Balanced Body has these blue ones.

      yogaqueen0830 The white are typically the softest, blue being next in line. The black ones are usually the most firm. Being able to see & touch the roller & feel the material is helpful when purchasing!

    Also, yoga has a basis in spirituality originally from Indian religions. Pilates is based more on anatomy and physiology. Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates to rehabilitate World War I victims who had lost limbs in battle. Unfortunately, today's average person suffers from similar problems because of our sedentary lifestyles. Our belief is that doing something is better than nothing. But it is ideal to get proper training and use proper form and technique.

      Upside-Down Pilates So informative! I did not know that. But I teach a foam roller massage class & you were so right when you said in the video that it's much harder than it looks. It is! It's literally all core work from beginning to end. If you're doing it correctly, you'll feel it! Great video!

    what size is the roller?

  • @lalalynnsey
    @lalalynnsey Před 12 lety +1

    @unseriousable Pilates are more for building strength in the abs. Yoga is designed to stretch and elongate. Both do what the other's main purpose is, but the difference is the degree, if that makes sense.
