- A Login form is used to enter authentication credentials to access a page or form. The login form contains a field for the username and another for the password. When the login form is submitted its given code checks that the credentials are authentic so that the user can access the page or form.

Please create the continuation to this video. Once those macros are created? How do we limit the data the the users will view? And you may want to create other videos for example how to create an application where users don’t see anything about access comanda or other information. Basically how to create a shareable app. You can create also a video about how to create and app and distribute it (just for information purposes or to update a central database. And how users knows that there’s a change in the app and they need to make an update. This video is very well explain so I think that you have tue ability to teach very well.

You can divide it in parts. We can find other videos on CZcams but the way you explain is unique. So for the benefit of all of us, please think about it. Thanks!
Also, I’m sure that we all can be share those videos in the different Specialize Access Forums that we are subscribed. That way, your work will be recognize by a lot of new people.
One of the issues is the roll out of an app. There’s only a few ways to do it and some of them charge per user. I’m not sure about the share point option. Maybe that’s an alternative. Of course, we need to split the database. But using Dropbox and other spaces doesn’t work because the database could be corrupted. But if you accept to create a series of videos showing people how to create an application from start to end, definitely will need to evaluate what is the best option, depending if the creator wants to offer to the users just real time information or if the user wants to interact with the data. Those are two different approaches.

sorry i don't understand why you use dcount. this way you only check if the textfields are not zero. neither the username nor the password are compared. or where am i making the mistake?

When I login with one user, my all users automatically changed to same user in database and when I close and open the database the username and password is autofill.

Regarding your 2nd question, please do the following,
Open a form in Design view mode.
Select the combobox.
Right-click on the combo-box and select Properties to open the property sheet for the combo box.
In the AutoExpand property box, click No.

If you don't want users to see a table in an Access database, you can mark the table as a hidden object. To do this, right-click on the table that you wish to hide and select “Hide in this Group" from the popup menu. Now when you view your database, the Orders table should be hidden.

Open the web app in Access and select the table you want to lock from the Table Selector in the left pane.

what you are looking is high level programming in SQL sever.
My suggestion would be to provide them with a GUI interface; either a program or a web page. This way the user has no direct access to any of the tables since their only access is the page they are looking at.
Hope this way you can restrict the user.

If you are working on database then to exit from mysql type quit at the mysql> command-prompt.

@@PrimalEduWorld thanks though im still working on it, one last question if u may, i dont see its function being a password protected file since when i close the Access then reopen it again i can still open all access files on the left side, take note that my login form is still working but it does not give its real purpose if i can still open all of it from the left side
A great way to prevent user access to data is to split your database, thus putting your data tables in one database file (the back-end), and your user interface in another database file (the front-end). Then password protect your back-end database, and hide the Navigation pane in your front-end.
