If in doubt, just drive up the middle of the road...
Bryan very similiar things are happening here in India, where the distributors/AIBS are offering Ampere gpus on a condition that the retailer has to buy multiple other components (Cases, AIOs etc) with it. They are trying to clear their excess inventory and take advantage of the current situation, kinda creating artificial price hike (because mining is a very rare trend in my country). This was recently covered by IGN India in an article where they talked to multiple big retailers.
It sucks, I hope this mining boom goes sooner than later.
They do this in my country too(Algeria) :(
luckily, we have retro computers. :)
Same thing in NZ, worst I got from a distributor was 5X Motherboards + 5X CPUs for 1X 3080. I run a small Gaming PC store but I'm just going to run the last of my current stock and wait this thing out.
Actually no it was worse, this was what was required in order to get an $1800 3080
"Will only allocate based on following conditions: Must attach the following to get 1 x Card allocation - 2 x Motherboard 2 x CPU 2 x RAM 2 x HDD/SSD 2 x LCD"
I’m early. Rate my pickups today
1 pc with a i5-3470s and a 1060
1 pc with a i5-3570k and a 1650
Each for $350 USD !!
i5 3470s - free
Gtx 1060 - 350 US$
NOT a great deal...😂
Depends on the other parts?
@@whitebeartigtig yes,it does.
First PC, meh. Your second PC deal, not too shabby, considering the average selling price of those 1650 non-Supes cards and the 3570k processors.
Both PCs are good in today's climate, ignore the haters in the comments
Who do you wanna call?

I've had such a horrible week because of work, so much stress, thank god that the TYC Used PC Parts Hunt of this Month was Godlike ❤️
Just finished all my school assignments and was about to go to bed, then I saw TYC notification on my phone
I've got a 4gb RX 560 sitting on the shelf in anti static doing absolutely nothing. Cant wait for the Windows 10 Lite episode. Cheers for that
You could sell that for like £150 or around that lol
Running one of the Low Profile RX550's guess the 560 is close
Love your infectious positivity.
I appreciate your commentary on todays market and what manufactures are doing to retailers.
Nice to hear you feel your tech yes mojo is back! :)
We are always here craving some used tech hunt and azuus graviscard deals! 🥳
Imagine having a market where buying GPU's that are almost 10 years old is a "good deal" if it's under 100 dollars.
this is the best channel for people living under poverty you either review almost broke, damn near broke or gosh darn cheap as dirt and give it a really good review and you have half a million subs lmfao good job man
Monthly parts hunt is always so good to watch!
You certainly hustle like no other! Love your videos!
the 2x 750 for 60 dollars.. and both being low profile... what a heck of a deal!
Great deals man! excited for tomorrows windows video.
Happy to see you so close to half a million. ^^
Love the mushroom killing 😂
Super Brian Bros.
you need who wanna call:ghostbusters lol alway good mate thanks, btw call thing was funny as hell.did you get your pizza?
@TechYes Wishing you and all the Aussies all the best with the floods.
Love to see what you will do with the massive untested PC lot. As far as content from this hunt, that is my favorite. Favorite part is probably the gtx 460s. Those are deceptively good at 720p.
Lastly, I am really excited for the slim down version of Windows especially the benchmarks. If it makes a difference, I might use these cut down ISOs for virtual machines.
i used my GTX 480 a couple months ago with 1080p amazingly for gaming, then got a 670 and now a new pc with a 2060 and soon 3060Ti or 4050 or something
Love this stuff so much mate I've watched it 3 times already haha! I'm doing what I can where I am in Canada to help people get 4gb GPUs for under $300, just through playing hard ball and clicking refresh on the ol Kijiji which is our Gumtree lol. Thanks for the great content, it helps to get through these crazy times. Cheers!
Love your video the hole everything I sat down love it love the voice accents everything the gpu hunt is great too keep it🔥
Yes, I want to see the red Pavilion!
You missed a golden opportunity.

Love ur videos man keep up the good work
The android auto part is just hilarious 😂 Watching Tech Yes Part Hunt is the best way to end the month!
I have picked up some graphics cards on Marketplace lately too! Like you, I got ghosted on a couple but in the end scored 3 cards for about $70.00 a piece. It's way smarter to buy what's available for reasonable prices rather than spend a ridicules amount of money right now. Used Dell and HP business systems are very inexpensive and can make great gaming systems! A little cleaning, upgrade a few parts, tweak the OS and you have a nice reliable system. My son and I are using Dell Optiplex MT's and are really happy with the performance!
LOL, that voice command glitch reminds me of that clip "Voice activated elevator in Scotland"
13:20 driving music is great.
Looking forward to seeing those potato builds. My current potato is an Athlon 5350 with 8Gb RAM and a Quadro FX 1800 all mounted into a trash picked case. Plays my favorite games just fine
Sorry about the lockdown man. I hope it doesn't ruin too many deals.
Props to the Final Fight love at the end
Greetings from Germany. I realy enjoy your Videos and love your attitude. The market for graphics cards in germany is terrible as well, the only thing in stock are the higher end AMD ones and the GTX 20 series, but if you have to ask for the price, you can´t afford them. Prices on the 2080 and 2080ti went down at first, but now they are up again at over 1000 Euros, and thats european euros ;). Have a good one mate.
Looking forward to the Wind 10 vids!
Yeah boi. I did see the msi case deal on OzBargain, great value. Plus I rock that case with my 3080 build and it fits & breaths nicely with 240m cpu aio upstairs. Cheers bud
Dude that pizza call was funny!
Yeah that is correct, for the place I work in down here in Sydney it's always bundled with motherboards. 1 to 1, 1 to 3 or 1 to 5 depending on the card and which aib it is.
would love to hear about your mojo hack, even if it's a placebo! maybe include it in your next patreon vid?
Hype for the next video for windows image deployment! Been looking into it for accelerating my system build time
Will do!
It's gotta be a girl
like the travel video and the spirit of the hunt...nice mojo..
I got freaked out when you turned left into the closest lane while driving.
Good times =D
9:00 android auto clearly wants you to call the ghost busters
Yeah, it's fun to score deals. I scored a huge PC parts lot for only $150. I got back the cost and then some buy selling a repaired Ryzen 5 1600 (microsoldered a pin on and unbent a bunch of pins) and 8gb of ddr4 2133 from the lot plus a spare a320 board I had. There was also an fx 8320, fx 6200, fx 4100, phenom ii 955be, i5 2400 x2, i5 2500, i5 2500k, i5 3570k, some fm2 CPUs... And that's not even a third of what I got :P
12:10 yeah man the one thing that feels pretty weird right now is that the older/lower end cards are the only ones where I can find anything below market price, but that is based on current market value, not what they're actually worth. There are some cards I picked up literally years ago going for the same price, but now suddenly it's actually a 'deal.'
This is a great show I started selling some old PC parts and I've been making some nice Tech Yes City cash.
I’m so grateful I was able to get my ftw 3 ultra 3070 from evga for 599. Signed up for the queue on launch day october 29th and got notified at the end of january. They raised prices in january but they honored original prices for people who queued up before price raise. So the msrp was 679 for that model when I bought it , but I got to pay 599. That exact card is like 1500 bucks on ebay lol.
9:00 "Who do you wanna call?" Ghostbusters!@!!!!!!
6:55 sick super mario cosplay
Looking forward to the lite windows 10 video!
If you have a 3d printer you can print a bracket with abs or pla
You can get that GPU bracket on eBay or Ali Express I would imagine.
My old rig had a GTS450 and I could run BF3 and BF4 on low plus csgo at decent frames rates so for a starter pc they're great
That hold music though. Get up & DANCE! x-D
Did you know ATX12VO is a thing that is happening soon. I re-cased my LGA1200 Acer Predator PC and got a new motherboard and case. Was going to rip out the PSU for a new case but found the PSU had 12 volt only. No 3.3 or 5v rails and no 24 pin connector. One £120 850w Corsair RM850 later and my PC up and running in a new case with a new board.
Hey Brian, given Nvidia drivers have a huge overhead, are you going to re-evaluate using Nvidia GPU's with older or lower core CPU's going forward, to make sure to maximize the FPS in your builds?
7:00 Just some casual strut braces! :p
I am about to get the i5 10400f. Do you think it's worth the wait for i5 11th gen and do you think the prices of previous gens will go down as the new gen releases?
11th gen so far has come off worse value wise to 10th gen and does not unseat AMD in any meaningful way. Stick to 5000 or 3000 series AMD or 9th and 10th gen Intel. Look for good combo deals
@@thedarkflameknight7942 lol you just wont find a ryzen 5000/3000 for a decent price it your talking retail.
@@mikeymaiku I actually found them at decent pricing in canada at around MSRP. Certain CPUs are a bit less in stock but they replenish every month. Not sure what your situation is though. Try looking online I'm sure you'll find something for you :)
Makes sense. No GPU is like selling a fridge with no door. You just can't really do it.
Just from a frugal point of view, those LP 750Ti are your value points. They will go in to anything because they don't have the power demands and the fact is, they will run a lot of games. Any SFF HP with an i5 2400, 750Ti will run GTA 5 on medium settings. World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, 50 other titles I am not going to list. It's a solid set up.
Who you gonna call?
TECH YES DEAL BUSTERS!
last week i picked up a really good deal in Sydney Australia
7600k,8gb ram, nice coolermaster case, 650w corsair modular psu and a dead 1050ti for $200
Sold the 1050ti for $50 and scored a 1060 6b for $150.
6:56 R.I.P. mushroom
I sold my gtx 460 for 20 bucks yesterday I don’t miss that thing it’s power consumption.
Brian, i have gone from an AMD FX-8350 System to a Dell Optiplex 3010 MT System.
16G Ram to 8G ram.
Booting from a 120G SSD. and 500G Drive for Games.
Beem playing horizon zero dawn on an I3 CPU and an AMD Pulse RX550 4G.
Yes, it's quite a Low end. but Been quite Playable. and Fun. Goes to show these older Systems still have some Life left in them.
And I've seen we can upgrade to a 3rd Gen I5 as long as it's one of the Lower TDP versions. so will be interesting to try a better CPU in the futuer.
I'll go back to my FX later but for now quite happy with the Lower Power Consumption and a Nice Quiet system.
The thing that happened to you with that 1050 (the guy just saying it's been sold after already having an arrangement) used to happen to me all the time and that was a number of years ago and mostly not even for PC components, so what you say that it may happen from time to time, in my experience it was like every second or at least third deal...
Brian,
I feel you man... used parts deals here inHolland, Europe have been frustrating these last few months gpu wise... I'm digging a new meta though.... 4th, 6th and 7th gen intel i5's with rx 570's 4g.
They do sell for a decent price and i can resell those systems as an entry level e-sports gaming computer. How are the prices in Aussie for the 4gb 570's?
After watching this video, I feel better about my gtx 670 ftw edition. I got it for 40 dollars about a month ago and it has served me well thus far.
Got 4 GPUs yesterday
Gigabyte 570 4gb strix -$150AUD
2xMSI 470 4gb Armour -$125AUD Each
1xGalax 1050ti 4gb White -$125AUD
Some decent budget cards
Hi Brian, you could try and enter the 'Retro pc' market with those so called 'potato' graphics cards. You could rock every XP-era lovers world with that in combination with an old i5!
You should buy yourself a Toyota Sienna strip out the second floor seats and put always down the third row seat for picking up all theses techs, pc, and parts !
Yeah, crazy GPU issues these last few months. I count myself a bit lucky to get a 5600x and a EVGA 3070 XC3 ultra gaming late Jan/early Feb. It's been the best system I've owned. Sure I'm only around 5 systems but it's a workhorse. I've had a 2700x, 1070/2070 and an older I7 2600.
Can't believe I have had four offers for a spare GTX1050 (2GB) for CHF130 (USD138); having advertised just 2 days ago. What an insane market. Sure glad I purchased a GTX 1080Ti last November...for USD350.
Who do you wanna call.....GHOSTBUSTERS!
You're driving on the wrong side! Aussie's are crazy!
How would you recase and use a safe PSU for the Dell mobos that have the 8 pin PSU plugs? I really want to use a 80 Plus Gold on my Dell, but I can't find a way to adapt or something for this mobo. It's my dedicated work PC while I'm working from home because I didn't want to use my personal PC.
I love these videos! You just gave me a great wake up. Teck Yes City and breakfast. Perfect. Thank you!
heck yeah brain, would love to see an eps. on that red hp!!!
love that stuff Bryan
now we need to see those 460´s in SLI
I'm looking forward to seeing those Lenovos swapped into the MSI case! Could you show a link for which case it is, so we can look for retail deals on it?
...or is that the video you posted just 4 days ago? I'm going there now!
Suggestion: a lot of us would like to get a faster, newer computer but do not want to pay to buy a premium, top of the line computer. Which current or slightly older OEMs can be upgraded most easily. You identified a Lenovo recently as being transferrable, but it is not clear if HPs or Acers or others are upgradable.
Can they use standard power supplies? Most power supplies in OEMS are ludicrously weak now and have been for a few years.
How's the stinger working out? Giving other's the tech yes lovin' during a race?
small retailers actually bought stuff for them to sell, different with distributor, they sell the stock the supplier sent them to and get some percent for their sold product.
so if small retailer sold something at one price and then when they want to restock but the price went up, they can't buy the product anymore, they still got profit from the product they sold but can't afford the new product price...
@TechYes Hey Brian, have you ever seen the elusive 750 Ti 4Gb? I've never seen one.
Who do you want to call? GHOSTBUSTERS OF COURSE!
6:52 I don't think its a good idea to be hitting those bogans lol.. Unless your hitting em with the deals first XD
Is a powerman SFF powerfsupply 80+ good to use with a E5-2620 and GTX 1050?
I had a 460 sli back in the day, Nvidia said that they were the first and only sli that would give 100% scaling, perform better than a 480 for less. They got outperformed by a single 650 ti, I sold them soon after for a gtx 670 amp
"Who do you want to call?" - GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
I dunno why but that's so neat listening to an Australian computer voice on the telephone.
I hope you didn't throw those SFF HPs out, they would go perfect with that one 750 Ti with the low profile bracket! If they are HP Elite 8200 (Sandy Bridge version) or 8300 (Ivy Bridge updated version) they work perfectly fine with up to 1050 Ti's, I've sold a handful of them in the past, no secure boot issues.
3:50ish 100% down here in Vic, had a guy on FB marketplace selling a USED 3060 for 1300, a BRAND NEW 3070 is that much atm...
So, I saw that quadro p2200s are selling for less than the gtx 1060s that are based off of them. Since I am in desperate need to upgrade from my gtx 660, I've considered it.
if i go outside and drive a car in Australia...i would be go crazy! even on the Monitor the cars use the left side makes me so confused^^
Funny you say this Bryan but where I buy my parts from , they were saying that the the distributors were saying exactly that they had to buy all this other stuff to get this 1 item..
A 1050 for 53usd that's an awesome deal, they never go below 250$ where i live
You sure that's not the price for the TI version you are talking about? If not, things are indeed horrendous.
For two years, I was playing games on my laptop with GTX 1050 and 2 GB vram.
All modern games ran smoothly @1920x1080 low settings.
Now, I use this laptop for crypto mining. LOL
I wonder how many GPU's are stuck in transit at the Suez Canal!
So you're actually able to flip these with just a GPU Upgrade in the AU? I attempted this on Craigslist in the USA, with Dell 3020/7020/9020 Tower PC's (with 2nd to 4th gen i7's), and couldn't get anyone to buy. Eventually had to sell at break even, and even those buyers complained about price.
Is the Suez Canal issue going to hit the tech scene?
