    Hey man, I rarely do comment but just wanted to take the time to say thanks for putting up this video and the past one about your 600RR. I just picked up an '05 here in Montreal that doesn't have the best shape so I was actually looking into putting aftermarket fairings but had no clue where to start. Respects to you sir and I have a cocker spaniel also hahaha!!!

      Awesome! Congrats on the new bike! I hope these videos give you the confidence to try out some aftermarket fairings for yourself. Thanks for the kind words, and please let me know if you have any questions when you start your build. Cheers!

    Hopefully this gets a response soon but what size screws did you use to mount the headlight to the fairing? None of the ones in my bolt kit fits

    What do you recommend doing? I have a 2014 Aprilia Rsv4 Factory and want to know if think I should get it repainted or should I get an aftermarket fairing kit? Do you think a paint shop would be able to keep all the decals and make it look OEM? I was thinking about doing the aftermarket fairings but I am worried about imperfections and fitment issues. What was your opinion of NT fairings?

      It depends on how many panels are damaged. If the entire fairing kit is cracked and scraped all over, then it would likely be more cost effective to go with a good aftermarket kit. However, if there is only damage to a few panels, I would look into gathering some quotes from a few reputable painters in your area in addition to researching the cost of OEM decals from Aprilia. Keep in mind that with paint, you get what you pay for. I've had entire bikes painted for $450, but I have also spent $400 on painting a tank alone for a factory pearl paint match. Another option is sourcing the individual OEM fairings from eBay. NT Fairings was a great option for me personally on this project as the fairings that came with the bike when purchased were cracked, scraped, and the set was incomplete. I would definitely order from them in the future, and plan to use them for my next project. Hope this helps!

    How long did it take for shipping of your fairings? I need to order some for an 06' 600rr, only ive heard the shipping times from these fairing companies can take a cpl of months, dang man if thats true i wont be riding till June, I'm just trying to find best place for quickest shipping times. I need the ductwork an headlight assembly also

      I ordered mine from NT Fairings through their Amazon store. Looking at this exact fairing set in the video, if I was to order them today (03/26/2023) they would arrive to me in FL on 04/05/2023. If you go to the NT Fairing website, they also have an option to search for "Ready Stock" in the US. Some of the kits have to be fabricated then shipped to the US which causes those long lead times. The "Ready Stock" kits have already been fabricated, arrived in the US, and are ready for shipping. Here are some helpful links:

      @@LifeOfMikeChannel omg thanks man i really appreciate this. Can i ask you honest opinion is there a difference between quality from say monster fairings or auctmarts or nt ? Iam guessing they are all coming from same place in china just distributed different companies doing the same thing?

    • @LifeOfMikeChannel
      @LifeOfMikeChannel  Před rokem +1

      @@wolverinebear5357 No worries! I can’t speak to the quality of the other fairing companies as I have not tried their products myself. I came across NT fairings from another CZcamsr who used them on his bikes so I had an idea as to the quality before I decided to order them. I feel like they are probably very similar, but you’ll want to check reviews on the hole alignments, panel gaps, and paint drips. Also, don’t forget to put heat shielding on the fairings around the exhaust areas as most aftermarket fairings have a reputation for melting if you forget to install the heat shield.

    How did you get the rivet out of the front fender?

    • @LifeOfMikeChannel
      @LifeOfMikeChannel  Před rokem

      I used a rivet removal drill bit to drill it out. You can get a cheap drill bit set from Harbor Freight for $9.99.

    Where can I get lower fairings without paying an arm and a leg?

    • @LifeOfMikeChannel
      @LifeOfMikeChannel  Před rokem

      You could try ebay motors for some used oem lowers or reach out to NT Fairings to see if they will sell you only the lowers at a reduced rate rather than buying a complete kit. Their staff was very helpful when I ordered my kit through Amazon. I’ve got a link in the video description for their store.

    • @EchoFirex
      @EchoFirex Před rokem

      @@LifeOfMikeChannel funny you say that, I actually messaged nt fairings with the same thought process but quoted me about 450 bucks for the 2 fairings I needed. Which isn't terrible if you consider hinda wants 1300 for them, but a kit I can get for 450 to 500 bucks somewhere, so I figured I would reach out to the world and see what came back. Ebay had only 1 listing of lower cowl fairings for my 2013 cbr600rr. I'm actually just shocked how hard there to find from someone psrting out or something

    • @LifeOfMikeChannel
      @LifeOfMikeChannel  Před rokem +1

      @@EchoFirex another option you could look into would be full carbon lowers. I just checked on eBay and there is a brand new set for about $350 including shipping. The item number is 385067263632. However, I have ordered full carbon eBay parts before and have had to do some filing/drilling, but it looked great in the end. Good luck!

      @@LifeOfMikeChannel I just found them and those would be pretty badass on my bike, even if I have to make some adjustments. They are significantly cheaper then the stiff I've found over last two months too. I just wanted to drop another like and say thanks again, ypu really came through when even a few dealerships didn't. You earned a subscriber if that means anything to ya. Thanks again Mike.
