If you can get it where you are, Night nurse medicine, knocks you out, you sleep undisturbed by any coughing through the night and wake up feeling that bit better. Gorgeous images you've captured here, looks so magical.
Love this!! I’ve seen some of these locations on Instagram but it’s so cool to see a real life perspective of it. You got some amazing light too, dang!!! Hope you feel better!!
Fantastic place. Was there a few years ago before I got serious about photography and would love to take my camera back there one day - it's a magic place. Thanks Brendan for reminding me with such wonderful images.
It looks like a beautiful place to go. Fantastic shots to. Can't wait for you to come to my home town Wales 👌 very excited to see that vid. Hope the weather is nice for you. By the way Brecon is a stunning place to do some landscapes 📷
So cool seeing you in Norway man! and you got some stunning images😊 Ill be flying up to Alta next month and doing a couple photo vlogs there... Would be awesome to meet up with you one day, good luck on your trip to wales 😃
I'm sorry to see you so sick. Please take care of yourself and don't worry about your subscribers. We'll still follow even if you take a sick leave. 🙂😉
So much more beautiful than S E Asia! Colds really don’t get caused by weather changes. It was probably those long flights, cooped up and sharing everyone’s germs.
Absolutely incredible view! Very good vlog. Can you please kindly let me know what's exactly location on clip 0:23 as I'm going to lofoten by next month. Many thanks
Great video as usual, but man, I missed your daily vlogs :( I was so used to that and now just couple of days a week. But anyway, still watching and will continue do
Great you had good weather and a nice experience. Similarly, we were blown away. Constant dynamic evolving beauty. Ran into some super rude Italian photography tours though. Especially when it came to photographing the northern lights and night photography. Great place to teach etiquette as well. Local buddy has also said there's a huge issue with tourists and some photographers camping on the beaches and leaving trash/bio waste. Good reminder for folks to remember to be respectful of the landscape, location, and others around. Nice overview of the classics =)
Our first shoot there was a really rude Italian group. They followed me around stealing my compositions and then getting mad at me for waiting for the right conditions. I was worried it was going to be like that the whole trip. Thankfully, we didn't see them again after that
@@BrendanvanSon Definitely a plague. Had the tour leader lead them right in front of me on the beach at night, look at me, then set up. Worth noting there was an abundance of space to either side, all around, etc. - also the general torch usage at night with no concern for anyone nearby drove me nuts. Luckily even at peak there were probably only 8 folks on the bridge. Beaches were a bit different. But even at the Dragon's eye, waited it out in a snow storm but were only a total of 6 of us on the beach. Definitely luck of the draw. There's another red house which is an interesting composition just up the road between the yellow buildings and the bridge to the reds. If you look at it from the shed parking lot, you'll get a nice view of a house and mountain with moderate light (67.9415332,13.1189602) it also points almost north. Might make a good northern lights shot.
Great photo locations from all over Lofoten :) Did you visit the Fredvang bridges? Or the hill behind Sakrisøy? The last one is particularly beautiful in autumn with the bushy foreground :)
needs good planning due to weather conditions..i have experienced 3 weeks with one day of photography...and you need a good good tripod...alot of wind .. nice video :)
2 Years ago my brother and I spent 3 weeks exploring the Lofoten Isl. A great location in the winter. I would hate to see it in the summer with all the traffic.
Flemming Nielsen Was in Lofted 5 days and left one day before you arrived. Great pics. One thing though - I dont think long exposures does the rough and wild waters of Lofoten justice.
Very interesting to contrast the "low-altitude" compositions in this video with the ones in Alex Nail's recent Lofoten videos from the mountaintops in the area. Worth checking out (if you can do a hike with 800m of ascent!)
Just found your channel and loving your videos. Seriously considering a new Eos R and 24-105, Would be my first bit of real pro (ish) kit. Quick question, do you switch off Lens IS when you use a tripod? Maybe a bit more time on your setup and settings. Thanks
Amazing and very helpful video. I’m planning to go this November for a week and definitely i will follow Also your place advise. Do you think November is a great month for dramatic landscape and northern light? After my research online I’m more confuse that before 😂😂
Smashing video! 2:40 is the best b-roll, Ivan there in his very stylish coloured jacket :p I was wondering, I'd love to hear your insights on how you make plans for media events (ITB etc) for getting work. I attended my first one in Dublin a few weeks back and while it was all very positive with the pitches etc I am still to hear from them, do you have a grace period of time before reaching out to them to follow up. It would be great to hear your insights to that whole world, it can be quite daunting. Cheers :) (i am reposting this question from an older video) :)
I get sick on trips too, get all the shots, eat healthy before I go and I'll get a cold or bug. LOL about the Transit Van I had one last time I did a working trip I was the support guy with the luggage and spares, we all wore rain gear most of the trip, Still want to ride the Atlantic Ocean Road, I know its only 8.2 km but still I want to do it.
to be honest there are photos you made and which you show us that i dont like them - you know its just personal taste..but this time-all of them are so damn good...really-good job Brendan
Personal taste is allowed. Photography would be boring if we all liked the same thing. I don't get offended if people don't like my shots. I'm glad you liked these ones, though!
Was there 2 years ago, shot everything like crazy and lost my memory card right before leaving the airport :) did you by any chance found some memory cards? ;)

What could be worse than breaking your camera gear????????.... great vid as always...but ya gotta be less horrific in your delivery of hypothetical circumstances. Just sayin...
If people fly all over the world all the time to take photos the pollution will kill nature and all we are left with are the images.:D The pictures are amazing and all, but.. We have 100000 photos of Lofoten, do we need more just for the sake of "but I want to take one too"?
Hey Brendan - I'm the guy who survived that crazy wind storm on the Hamnoy Bridge with you. :) Fun meeting you in person and saying hello.
Nice meeting you man! Hope you got some great shots!
If you can get it where you are, Night nurse medicine, knocks you out, you sleep undisturbed by any coughing through the night and wake up feeling that bit better. Gorgeous images you've captured here, looks so magical.
Brendan: You might break your camera or worse.
Us: (looking down) I have one camera but TWO legs!
I was thinking, "What could be worse? I'll heal. The camera won't."
Back to the videos, I love! thanks for the excellent information on locations, Brendan, more of these, please!
Great video, thanks. Heading out there next year. Looks like you really like the long exposures. I'd better bring my 10-stop ND filter.
Winter wonderland still eh. Awesome overview so far dude. A lot of good info. Also the VOs work really well mixed into the on camera pieces. Noice.
Holy crap. This might just be the most beautiful place in the world. Another one for the bucket list.
Isn't it stunning??
Beautiful islands. Glad you're feeling better. Stay warm and healthy. Greetings from Dallas, GA
Very good vlog and very nice images. I prefer this kind of vlogs much more than vlogs about equipment. Keep up the good work :)
woohoo!! my photo of the dragons eye was shown in your video!! i am so stoked ha ha =)

Those are some epic locations! I have not heard of the Lofoten Islands before, but the scenery looks impressive!
I hate cold but that place looks epic! Amazing shots man !
Thanks dude!

That’s gorgeous - yet unbelievable how many photographers are there ...
a big right on for U back to just showing slammin images & locations
I loooove winter landscapes (or snowy muntains). I enjoy this serie in norway 😍😍😍
Some wonderful shots there Brendan. Much thanks for sharing :)
Great to see your work in my homearea :-) I'm sure that your return to the Lofoten (and Vesterålen?) islands will be even better. ;-) Thanks !

Cool images BvS and can see why you have chosen this a workshop location. Hope you have got over the lurgy
Cool to see you back in Norway🙂 Great images!!
Great vid. Glad you’re feeling better. Thanks for sharing.
Sorry to hear you were sick, but great vlog anyway. Thanks!
looking forward to seeing your trip to Wales. Really enjoying all your Vlogs.
Love your scouting videos!! I've got a nice itinerary set up. Now just to find some hikes if I go in the summer. Thanks!
SUPERRRRR!!!!!

RUN TO THE LIGHT!
What a beautiful country 👌🏼 loving the choice of bag and gloves highly recommended 😁
2 Years ago my brother and I spent 3 weeks exploring the Lofoten Isl. A great location in the winter. I would hate to see it in the summer with all the traffic.
I guess we'll see how it goes in June!
That's where my grandfather was born. The family owns some little island used by the local fishers to dry fish on.
Nice one. Good job, Brendan.
Oh, wow! Wish I am there too. Nice video.
feel better❤ beau!
Thanks!
Flemming Nielsen
Was in Lofted 5 days and left one day before you arrived. Great pics. One thing though - I dont think long exposures does the rough and wild waters of Lofoten justice.
The problem was that we didn't get rough waves. It was calm the whole time. Otherwise, yeah, I'd have shot shorter exposures
Yay, I can see myself :) It was a great trip.
Love the video but I really miss the old style every day vlog.. I had the feeling of being more a part of it all.. And it was always fun to watch.. 😔
There'll be more vlog style videos coming up. Just hard to do when sick
Wow, it is so beautiful there.. Did you get to see the Northern lights?

Great video and pictures. No wonder why I live in this country ☺️
Amazing and very helpful video.

Hi Brandon, I need some advice on cold weather gear. What are your go-to brands for Gloves, weatherproof pants, boots and parker
Smashing video! 2:40 is the best b-roll, Ivan there in his very stylish coloured jacket :p

Haha man, I sure was flashy in that jacket 😆
Lowepro pro tactic? New home for new gear :D

Where abouts in Wales?!?!?! I live in the southwest would love to meet you! Im guessing youre gonna be in Snowdon or Brecon though :(((
Great video as always, did you change your camerabag?
I did. I'll talk about that soon.
Which month of the year?
Very blue color cast on the video. Is that on purpose?
hi, which month do you stay there'?
About the Place Å. It's pronounced like the Word AWE.
Thanks!
Did you change to a Lowepro camera backpack?
Was there 2 years ago, shot everything like crazy and lost my memory card right before leaving the airport :) did you by any chance found some memory cards? ;)
Oh man, that's brutal!
looks great over there - but i'm no fan of the cold :(
Were those shots taken by the canon eos RP? Thanks
Which camera did you use 5D, Eos R or the RP?
Hey brendan, did anyone tell you sound and look like TJ Miller? 😄
You're like the 4th person this month. HAHA. But, I'd never heard that before this month. :D
Did you manage to catch an Aurora?
enjoyed the video mate.....ta
what time of year was thi? looks like late winter?
It was March
The Å is pronounced as 'au' in Paul :-)

Honestly, I don't think so. I mean it's possible... But I think it was the change in weather.
4:39 was almost a big sneeze before the cut lol
Man, it was more like me coughing my face off. hahahah
Do a video how to take milky way video
Wht month ?
Hi 🙃 what month were you there?
This was March
@@BrendanvanSon thank you, you helped me a lot, have you seen in march stockfish or dried fish there?
Not 100% sure but I think A* is pronounced like Oh's sort of like Aasgard is pronounced Ohs -gard
Im Norwegian. And even i cant waint to travel there and exlore lofoten in real life
Some insanely beautiful places in Norway. Maybe the most beautiful country in the world
In June:-( Then there's lots of tourists! I would definitely not go to Lofoten June-August.
Are you going back to Lofoten when the midnight sun is up?
Yup!
Is it Ok if I skipped your last video? 😁
Low-fo-t'n
