Goldie is just so genuine, especially when talking about Kurt Russell caring about her (now their) kids. Conan’s clearly appreciating the moment and has no need to interrupt.

I love Goldie, and all her movies; Foul Play, First Wives Club, Overboard, Death Becomes Her, etc. She was a customer of mine in a furniture store I worked at when I lived in New York, and she was fun and lovely!

We don’t know this woman. We don’t know Kurt Russell. They are actors- you know that, right? Being enchanting and good story tellers is a part of their job they have perfected for decades. They may actually be nice people- but a half hour podcast or seeing her in a few interviews or bios, tells you nothing. 🙄
Most people don't like living near their family, it's very showing what a good mother Goldie is, that her kids want to be close to her and Kurt❤ Lovely

There was an interview on Paley Media’s YT account with him and Jake Tapper. Conan said some of the hot sauce got under his wedding ring, burning his finger

I often waited on Goldie when I was a young bank teller in Burbank in the late 60s. She’s always been adorable.
She's very underrated. I think she was overlooked for being light and insubstantial. She did take on a lot of ditzy characters, but she's a very subtle performer adding a lot of weird, hilarious little touches no one else would have

Goldie seems like a genuinely nice person, smart, great actress, and great dancer.
I think of them as having been together forever but she was 38 when she started dating Kurt.

A true original who stands up for what she believes and is genuinely interested in being a force for good... And she's damn funny too. She steals The First Wives Club and that's hard to do when you're co starring with Bette Midler and Diane Keaton.

You can tell Conan has to deal with a lot of old people (maybe his parents) to support their story to correct small mistakes about tense/time as he did for Goldie but in a respectful way.

Goldie and Kurt are still young on the inside. It projects outwardly and they don’t seem to age at all.
One of my favorite movies ever is overboard. So many great lines. Kurt and Goldie together….so good. It’s not us dad it’s Roy!

As a Goldie Hawn fan back from the days of Private Benjamin and Seems Like Old Times and onward, I LOVED this episode. She is truly a gem, as an actor, but more importantly as a person. Her work on understanding and supporting the mental health of children is, by far, her biggest accomplishment. I only hope i will age with such grace and humanity.

I walked into the Mercer Hotel bar in NYC about 20 years ago. I heard two women yelling and talking really loud, both were talking at each other at the same time and laughing their heads off. It was a real commotion. I turned and noticed Goldie and Kate seated with other people but completely in their own world with each other having a great time. No one could possibly have interrupted, they were completely connected! Lovely family.

As a child my crush was Goldie on “Laugh in” as I got older, I still find her adorable.
I found it so cute and surreal that Goldie had to read the opening line off a page written for her. That is a true genuine person right there, who is not caught up in her fame, and popularity. I wish the Conan Podcast Show lots of fun and success, and Goldie & Kurt many years of happiness for them and their family. Great & moving interview!

The sound engineering is incredible. Adjusted the microphone (9:21) and not even the slightest change in quality, volume, etc. Wouldn't have ever known had I been listening and not watching the podcast.
Toying with sound a bit as a jazz composer;
these SM7B microphones have a 50 to 20khz range there “ sweet spot “…typically comes in warm and…. a bit too dark .
Goldie’s voice has softened “ and “ deepened over her 50 + year career.
Her head tends to drift back as she engages in storytelling……
But…. Not only did Bley adjust her proximity errors
….but Eduardo bumped her up a couple decibels…..it did improve.
However,
If he overcorrects, he runs the risk of her “ self correcting “ and oops …. Feedback 👀
Bley dived in; total low key professional “no words”as not to insinuate anything
……. the adjustments were made.
She’s a battle tested star….
when she settles in a bit more… her voice will loosen ……..and when the final piece airs soon…….
They will be able to edit the lows out…hopefully 🫣
Conan pulls off the top shelf for us here………..

“ mastering engineer” could easily work circles around me….. lol

workin my home studio…… I would say my gift lies in assembling melodies through arranging sounds;
horns, strings, percussion,vocals ect. … in such a way ….. to invoke a emotional aesthetic conducive to the overall narrative or storyline.
Yep….. when I’ve done all I can do writing, arranging and mixing a piece of music
…… off it goes to the MASTERING ENGINEER
…… and that’s where the “secret sauce” is applied.. lol
….. they live in a magical world of their own…. Lol
Eduardo belongs to such a landscape…..
A well respected, irreplaceable “niche”in the audiophile industry.

Say what you want, but actor wise, she is underrated. Great timing and sense of humor beyond the fact she was seemed so cute and so real and so genuine in almost all her movies in the early to mid 70’s….
I truly don’t think there’s been a woman as beautiful as her, even now. She’s in her 70s and still utterly gorgeous. 😊😊

Goldie and Kurt were on the plane behind me as we landed in Skiathos one time, everybody was dancing about praying just to spot them coming through the terminal.
Goldie is so beyond blessed to have her grown children around her and want to spend time with her. Ie's literally the best gift in the world. My babies are the same way and I could just cry at the beauty of it all
