Just a quick comparisson of the catless midpipe (Decat) from Ebay. The difference in sound in real life is 10 times louder than you can hear on this video.

Nice. You've removed the RX8's Achilles heel. Now you can safely get mo power by leaning out the tune. That's why the JDM version has a little more hp.
I used Versatuner with an OBDLink MX+ on mine. It comes with premade tunes for different mods, so you don't have to muck around on a dyno. It even allows you to disable the fault code for the missing cat. Costs about us$300 all up.
Yeah I was considering buying that thing for sure. But I didn't find any 4-port tunes.
@@TryThisThing you'd have to contact the dev to see if it's compatible with your ECU. If so, you would need to have it tuned on a dyno.
Another popular one is MazdaEdit, but I don't have any experience with that.

Really? Because when i saw one for the first time i was surprised how quiet rx8s are when they stock.
@@sneedlewoods829 they are quiet stock from about 0-5000rpm but they spin as fast as 9000rpm.

Im in the engine rebuild phase right now. I'll buy a turbo in the next couple of weeks and fabricate as much as I can at home. So the only thing I have to buy are intercooler an blow off and that kind of stuff. The project is being filmed so stay tooned. But I'll probably make the lawnmower first and then this rotary thingy.

I picked up a 04 GT model for $1,000 that runs and drives so i bought a second engine to build on the side while still driving the car....I figure once im done with the build im gonna turbo it and drop it in..Then go ahead and rebuild the current engine for a a backup again...

@@TryThisThing First thing I would do is change that lazy starter motor. I did mine recently and it's worlds different at starting up now.
@@mx3fto I bought the most powerful one with 14 tooth. And it had no difference starting the engine. The bearings were pretty bad. U got a link for the starter you bought? Cuz I got some cheap chineese crap.

What rear section is on this
I don't know. I bought it as is. Some sporty muffler. It's half the size of the stock one. And the pipes are bigger.
Looks like the Turbo XS muffler. Had that on my 8 that I got for free. Tips look about same, I believe they’re 3.5” wide tips
