I really wish this wasn't cut, along with the original schuyler defeated. We never actually see her interacting with with Hamilton's colleagues (not counting schuyler sisters) So it's interesting to see how she is like this

@@milliesfavoriteinterests I'm late to this thread but imo it would be easier to cut the song than change the name. He could've changed the name but it would've been pointless, because the let it go parts are so obvious, everyone would assume it was the name of the song anyway. He could've changed the let it go parts to fit the new title but he would've had to waste time on it. This song isn't important, it's a song about Hamilton giving up past grudges which doesn't matter to the overall play. He either had the choice to keep it in (risking controversy with Frozen or making the play look bad and like a rip off), he could've changed the song (wasting time on a dead song that wasn't necessary to the play) or he could just cut it because it wasn't important to begin with, he needed to write other parts of the play and because this part wasn't important, it was easier to cut it and make room for more important songs/improvements.

You most likely saw the show before it was on broadway they’re were a few other songs that also didn’t make the broadway cut one of the reasons this didn’t was copyrighting reasons with Frozen the movie.

It really sucks that the songs that really show how calming and grounding Eliza was for Alexander were cut. This and the original Schuyler Defeated both showed how Eliza acted as Alex’s counterbalance and it’s really sweet.
