- The only polar bear left in Singapore has died.
Inuka, a 27-year-old male polar bear, was surrounded by its care team, consisting of vets and keepers, who jointly made the difficult decision not to revive it from anaesthesia on humane grounds.
This was announced by the Singapore Zoo on Wednesday, April 25, 2018

I can feel our zoo keepers have so much heart and they did everything they could for Inuka. I want to bless you all, you are all very excellent people. People with great pets are excellent people to be with.

Inuka is an Angel🌈 and he is the coolest.
I saw Inuka in 2017. Another keeper (young Chinese man) shared that his life changed when Inuka swam and stared at him for a full minute. That inspired him to become a zookeeper.

There's a world wide ban on importing exporting wild animals outside their habitat now...mom and dad of inuka suffered too in singapore zoo...polar bears cannot be kept in hot climate and living walking on hard floors...singapore was selfish and cruel to keep animals this way....stop caring for suffering dead bears....care for the animals that are still living suffering in small spaces in our zoo today...they must be released into nature reserves.
@@samsonnodelilah5459 You are right to some extend, though if a polar bear is born in a zoo he cannot rehabilitate. If she doesn't learn how to survive and find food in the wild/arctic she just can't do it.
On the other hand, these beautiful creatures give us the opportunity to realize how selfish we are that we are destroying their habitat by the climate change and global warming.
I realized this and became more sensitive and responsible thanks to the polar bears.
I believe the decision of Singapore zoo not to import any other polar bear is in the right direction.
This argument is out of context if you understand research since day one as to why the first polar bear was brought into SG...it was exploitation cos there still wasn't any laws disallowing importing polar bears out of its natural habitat!. SG zoo took advantage of this... Its an experimentation for a commercial enterprise and it has been proven a failure with every sickness and subsequent death of each bear that died...have anyone notice that our zoos did NOT make any effort to give it away to a zoo with a colder snowy climate even when it's still an infant...selfish!!!!..they know how much dollars they can pull with a cute white baby bear but secretly conveniently kept quiet from the public as to the diseases and illness that can and have already occured to its mom/dad?... Has any one noticed too that those dolphins at resorts world sentosa were caught in the wild?! And how they were sold and brought back into SG should be qwestion!!...and a few of those dolphins had died due to deseases that they should NOT be suffering from if they were living in the wild!!!....go do your research!!!!... the zoo just don't want to admit it....this PR video and the vast media coverage plus the out pouring of grief is just to put shade on the illegality of actions done in the past and mistakes done today for animals at large still in SG zoo..lucky we have tighter laws now of exporting/importing of animals...SG zoo and bird park should be closed for good....sent the animals to nature reserve where they have a larger area to roam free and die a natural death....and that's the most natural human thing we can do now....stop crying and sympathise with dead bears when we still have lots more still living in small spaces and out of its natural habitat.... Its pretentious really....
All zoo keeper's wish to return their animal want to return them to their natural habitat, zoo are a cruel place to go... watching animal suffer from stress and anxiety , zoo owner only wants your money it is not true that they want to give an oppoturnity to see this animal but gain profit from stolen animals from their homes and families
