"and you try" with a big smile, I would have loved to be there. Great stuff. I totally get his low stance and I'm amazed I didn't figure that one out for myself. :-)
This video is excellent with so many important details on Morote Seoi Nage. I wish I watched this video 5 years ago when I started Judo, it would saved me so much times on trial-and-error! Even now I still learnt many things from this video Thanks Judo Video Library to upload this! And much /respect to Hatsuyuki Hamada sensei to teach us his knowledge!
We might not understand what he is saying...but we all learned 100% of what he demonstrated. He is too good. Perfect form and superb step by step procedures.
This is exactly how my Japanese Jujutsu Hanshi taught, extremely detailed explanation with high level of effective result. well done Kyoshi Hamada. Very impressive technique and even better explanation and demonstration. Arrigato Gozaimashite Kyoshi
PERFECTO MAESTRO.CON TODA LA TECNICA...SOLO LA CABEZA GIRA MIRANDO AL LADO CONTRARIO.DARA MAS FUERZA EN LA PROYECCION Y SI EFECTUAS UN GRITO.COMO ASA YIME OSS.SEEE..MUCHO MEJOR NO KEDA RESERVA ALGUNA..OSS.
I wonder why Tsurite (Lifting hand) hand's elbow is placed under uke's elbow, instead of under uke's armpit like some other videos suggested. Is it because that way your elbow will be safer and the power will be stronger??
when I teach judo 7 years ago I explained that : isn’t important win you must fight did a Waza you didn’t be proud about a Koka (more time ago in the judo we had koka yuko wazari and ippon and 30 sec for osei-Komi ippon) Your target was the ippon always playing judo and not defense and take less shido than the opponents, the other master said : i you win you always take reason ? I don’t like this point - I think judo is judo not ju-sport! This explanation was amazing and teach the right making of kuzushi and tsukuri on te-waza : no strength but mind and waza in the right sense, I love it!
何十年ぶりだろう、濱田先生のお顔を見ました。技の切れとスピードは現役時代を髣髴とさせますね。
This is by far, one of the best videos to teach basic Seoi Nage.

Even with so so english, he still teaches great. Imagine how great his teaching would be in his birth language!!

+Yang Lee trial and error is the best way to learn judo. Some basic geometry really helped me understand a lot.
What an absolute gem this video is. Thank you!
The best seoi nage video in my opinion. The amount of details that go into this technique are astonishing.
Muchisimas gracias por este gran aporte! Abrazo desde Argentina!

For forward throws, being below 6 feet tall is a major advantage..
Очень чёткая и красивая техника.
The lifting of a tall guy is impractical.
Imagine some fool in a hoodie trying to mug him at the ATM! Lol
Awweeechhh. Some hard throws around 13.00

I had the same problem. He rotates and curls his right hand. Likewise he is pulling his curled hand to his stomach while turning in.
elbow is correct

Who need BJJ after throwing someone that hard one the floor??
exactly
To lower his knees with a tall guy is going against logic
引き出しが大事だとしても、腕の力だけでは難しいと思う。相手と前方に移動しながらという説明
が必要だと思う。
The best one!
great
