I agree I believe Jones could stand toe to toe with Pereira in striking at least for a little bit and has the skills to avoid a big left hook and sooner or later he would get a takedown for shure and Alex is not close to him on the ground... Alexs only chance is his hook but I think Jones is good enough to avoid or block it or not get knocked out...

Belts in boxing don’t matter anymore. They’re pointless. WBC silver, interim, WBC belt all under one organization. Not to mention the belts in the other 3 organizations which have multiple belts under them + the ring magazine belt. You have 4+ champions in one weight class all of which avoid each other and don’t give their mandatory a chance. Shoutout to Ryan for making the fights people want to see even if a belt isn’t on the line.
Standing up they could both give each other problems but on the ground Jon would definitely win also we’ve never seen Jon get dazed in a fight but we’ve seen Alex get dazed & knocked out
