Hats off to Snake Wrangler Brooke! Most people injure themselves trying to get away from rat snakes. Brooke may need a neckbrace - she's now wearing so many hats she might also need a Chiropractor. Never a dull moment in the Cog Hill 'office'.

I laughed out loud when MaryCarl told Brooke that she is not even filming the snake the camera was on the wall covering, while she was trying to get the snake. I loved that even though the snake ate one of her babies MaryCarl wanted him released. If I was trying to catch that snake, Jason would have had to “bleeped” out all of my verbal mutterings. Bless all of you.

I don't know what snake that was, but I can tell you that having been born and raised in Africa (Rhodesia - now called Zimbabwe) our philosophy was that the only good snake was a dead snake !! Too many snakes to wonder whether they were poisonous or not !! Sorry, but that's the way it was - especially anywhere near your house or livestock areas. Just couldn't take a chance on catching and releasing.

Rats don't live long as pets and are prone to tumors. MaryCarl doesn't really want one as a pet. My nephew had one and it only lived to be a out 1.5 years and that was after having a tumor surgery to prolong her life. She was sweet, but life span is way too short!

They cannot climb straight up their full body length unless the wall is very rough.
@@monteengel461 both my snakes could climb up their glass tanks. They used their “scutes” it helps give them traction.
One of the funniest things about this video was all the chaos being caused by the pigeons flying around while Brooke was cool calm and collected as she wrangled the snake. Mary Carl's comments were so funny 😅😅😅😅 Great job ladies!!!

Thank you Brook and Mary Carl for not hurting the snake, Snakes are one of the most misundestood wild animals. I would have turned it loose in Pink's barn, but I undestand that's too close to the birds. If you ever handle a snake, it feels like a leather belt. I undestand the fear, YOU GUYS ROCK!

@@faithradaThat reminds me of an experience I had in Texas. I was going for a hike in the woods in Texas when I saw a snake some distance away. Whatever it was it was big. And black. It was enjoying a nice bath in the muddy water over there. I'm going to say a hundred yards away. For whatever reason this big snake was standing up tall with the front of it's body out of that mud. It seemed to be looking around. And when it saw me it watched me back for a while. Eventually it lowered itself back down and started moving in my direction. I don't know what it was but I think it wanted me gone. My best guess knowing the area was a water moccasin. So I made myself gone. Lol

My daughter had a pet rat for many years. His name was Sampson. Icky little thing but he was friendly and she sure loved him!
Growing up, I had a pet mouse named Stuffer. My dad wouldn’t come into my room because of him.
Btw: my service dog (a medical alert dog) is named Samson. I wouldn’t be alive without him!

Was that a corn snake for real? I relocated one that ate my bird eggs out of the birdhouse where I lived in California. I found out from animal control that corn snakes have a nasty bite. The snake was unharmed and got very lucky that day.
@@mysonsRnavymy brother had many corn snakes when I was young and if for whatever reason they tried to eat their dinner wrong way (defrosted mice,pet shops sell frozen mice for snakes etc)he would have to gently take it out tip of its mouth and turn it round and he got bit a couple of times and he said he didn't feel any fangs just pressure 😊I don't think he tried doing anything like that with his boa constrictor though 😂

I love snakes and birds and all other critters and I'm happy you relocated it. If you ever have a chance to have someone teach you to touch a snake without fear, that would help you feel more calm around them. Hope you can seal up the pigeons' area to keep out unwanted visitors.

Youre doing a great job with the fence! I get a lot of snakes here! I just grab them fast right behind the head and hold onto em! Some have killed chickens but I dont move them too far because when I did that we got overrun with rats! I had pet rats as a kid but its not a good situation on a farm! Much move yall!

Two bravest women ever...Brooke and my mom. We rented a farmhouse in western Nebraska when I was 4-5 years old. Lots of rattlers in the area and they didn't respect the yard fence. At least 3 times, I remember standing very still while screaming for my mom. She would get the hoe and there would be one less snake. Brooke, no way could I have done what you did. You were awesome! Also I preferred watching the wallpaper vs the snake. 😂

I'm with MC my son had a pet rat, and he was the very best! I actually drove like a bat out of hell when he called to tell me he was dying and even tried CPR on him but was too late, it was heartbreaking. Their clean and don't bite wonderful pets! ❤

When i was a teenager, my three sisters and i were visiting my grandparents who ran a farm B&B. They had visitos from New York who had 3 boys abour our ages. They were not happy when the thought 4 'girls' were coming down. However, after we showed them how to leap from the rafters of the barn into the hay they did ease up on the teasing. Then we girls wandered through the hay field and picked up some beautiful grass snakes. Those brave boys took one look at them curling around our fingers and they flew back into the house and never said another disparaging word about the girls.😂
