I have a problem we’re I load everything up then a message pops up saying could not access network location. My computer is connected to a Ethernet cable.
This is pretty decent for a wifi dual monitor app.

on your computer on the desktop right click with your mouse, than display settings. there you can change it to extended
How i can flip spacedesk monitor in way, that i can use tablet as teleprompter?
I'm not aware if windows has an option to flip a screen, but I'd recommend using some special teleprompter software for such things instead.

I think it's designed only to extend the monitor, didn't see any option to transfer sound

I'm using university wifi, so everyone is on the same network. I can connect directly to my friend's laptop if I use this software, is there any way to get around this privacy issue?
That's an interesting topic, I'd assume there will be some password protection in the app but I can't find any and as I'm not using it now I can't check myself.
It can still be protected via the windows firewall and only allow specific IP for example to access via the required ports.
But I'm pretty sure in your University the IT was a smart guy and enabled "network isolation" which will prevent any access such as this, if it's not the case, I wouldn't even connect to that WiFi.

Right click on your desktop, go to Display Settings, under multiple displays choose extend these screen

Well it's an app so you can exit it anytime.
in terms of GPU, it shouldn't be required but if you have a really old computer you might have lag due to a lot of reasons (like really old CPU or graphics and network)
Technically the only real requirement is to be on the same network I'd say

It only works via network as far as I know, so your best option with USB is using USB tethering

Try maybe playing with the hotspot settings, I think it's possible. there's another app that can do that with a USB cable but didn't try it

After you do the mirror, just go to your display settings on Windows and change it to extend

I think only if you enable USB Tethering on the tablet, that's the only related method I see on their website

make sure the computer and tablet are on the same network and there's no isolation settings or some firewall that might block the connections, otherwise, it should work
can you make the screen duplicate, the other one is showing the same thing as the primary screen

Hello i made the installation step by step is working the only problem i don't have audio in my pc only on the tablet .please can you help i'm 70 and not to good in computers thanks and God bless.
Do you know which Operating System you use?
If it's Windows 10 or 11, you should have an audio icon near your clock at the bottom of thee screen, if you click on it, you should have an option to change the output device and you should be able to change it to your regular device (headphones or speakers etc)
If you have issues let me know the windows version or if it's a mac and I will try to find you a better guide

in many cases it does mirror at first, but it should allow you to change it.
Did you reboot after the install maybe it didn't finish install the correct driver

@@carvroom69024 I think it's only for android. You can use Spalshtop Wired XDisplay if you use iPhone coz Spacedesk doesn't support wired connection for ios

That's strange, maybe some security feature blocking the connection? can you ping between the 2 devices?
I use this because my PC doesn't have another port for a display, not because I don't have another monitor. (I do have an extra monitor)

I guess you should make sure you have the newest version both on your phone and PC, probably will include bug fixes etc. also make sure the network connection is as good as possible for both of the devices. and I don't think it will ever be usable for like watching movies or playing games but I believe you can make it work pretty decent

Well technically it's a nice idea, it would work, but I guess it won't be as good as a special equipment that has touch sensitivity and so on.

I don't think it's supposed to work that way, the idea is to give you a second screen and not a remote control on the keyboard.

How to make USB thetering?
It might be different on your phone, but you go to your phone settings > network > hotspot & Tethering.
Plug your USB cable to the PC and you should be able to enable it.

dude yo can download space desk viewer on microsoft store itself. but if you want your pc or laptop to be a server you have to just type spacedesk on google you will get it

Never had an option to try, but in case of a TV I'm pretty sure it's easier to connect a direct cable to it.

As long as the 2 devices can be on the same internal network, it should work
Hi bother i try to use my tablet as a pc using spacedesk but when i connect a keyboard to my tablet and try to play games i can't hold a specific key on keyboard it only register as one click not a hold please help
I don't think there's any control over that, I'd think it's more related on how the tablet itself (or it's OS) processes the presses of that keyboard

depends mostly on your local network equipment
It says that I need an ips address but it still doesn't work

As long as its not a very old PC I'd guess there might be some high latency on your local network causing it

How to do it with USB Cable?
As far as I know, it's only supported when doing USB tethering, I don't think it's a convenient enough method, I'd prefer making a hotspot so the 2 (or more) devices will be on the same network

if your PC and phone on the same network it should work regardless of the type of connection. I just had issue with the driver or something on my PC

I think they mostly dropped the support for Windows 7, can't get a clear answer from their website.
I'd highly recommend to upgrade to 10 anyways, 7's support is over and it's insecure to use it

Yes it is safe.
As far as I know, it is. But you can never be to sure so always make sure you download apps from their official websites (this is what I have in the description) and you can always double check it with your AV software

Not a stupid question, you should always worry and only use trusted apps.
I'm not the owner nor related in any way to the app, but I can tell I didn't encounter any issues and I guess the others here in the comments also didn't.
If you don't trust the app, download the file but before opening scan it with an AntiVirus to be sure.

Hi, i have another question. I closed the app from task manager and now I cant open it, how can I open it manually? Do I need to restart the pc so the app can start?

When you connect it, try to change settings in the PC for the screen maybe it's not automatically extending/mirroring your screen

Check that your screen settings are correct, right click with your mouse on an empty space on the desktop and than on Display Settings

@@DimusTech i installed the application on my windows10 computer as primary server then i installed the application on my mobile phone. Problem is my mobile phone cannot locate the desktop while the desktop shows 0 connection. They cannot find each other. I am have input the correct ip address on my mobile device but no luck..i tried uninstalling the app then install again but they still cannot connect with each other..
@@jakczevicente Are they both connected to the same network? sounds like that's the issue, and also the network must not be with some isolation or something like it.

@@jakczevicente well probably if you connect the phone to the wifi of the same router that your PC connects to, they should be on the same network, sadly it's more complicated to know if there's any isolation on this network...

There's no how to connect basically, you just connect when the phone recognizes the app from your PC and it does it automatically pretty much when they are on the same network
when i use the app, all my desktop shortcuts gets scrambled. is there any way to avoid this?
What do you mean by scrambled? maybe it's automatically sets the screens to duplicate and the resolutions are different?
@@DimusTech hmm it is extended rather than duplicated, however the resolutions are different... By scrambled, i mean that my shortcuts are usually grouped into different sections of my desktop screen, but while the app is activated they are all over the place untill i turn it off again.
