  • Proof of concept/test drive of newly finished bass ukulele printed in PLA on the machine behind me. Apologies for the terrible intonation, I don't know how to play fretless (yet) and for the poor sound quality. I'm plugged into a 100 watt Fender amp but the cheap piezo pickups I installed aren't very strong.

Thanks man, I've been enjoying playing it but I have to tear it apart and sand it down-it has some really sharp edges that are typical of the 3D printing process. Best thing is that the total cost was probably less than $80.

Are the files available for this?

The files are here: www.thingiverse.com/thing:2328641. My machine is a Creality Ender 3 so I had to tweak the bottom of the body to fit the buildplate but that's it. FYI the trussrod version won't accept any adjustable trussrod I could find so I used a 7mm carbon fiber rod from Amazon to support the neck. It's working out great so far!
