      As muslim please note accepting islam doesn't mean changing identity. it's the arabization and arabs who make people think that being muslims is being arab so they can gain power over people. i support amazing to get full control of their lands. largest muslim population in the world are indonesia and india but they still have their identity . the issue is arabs trying to Arabize north africa and thinking it's their lands.

      Jawida Mansour it is possible , Amazigh are isolated from any control and abused by those in power. and then discriminated by arabs with superior complex.

    First thank you for this amazing presentation, that's make me feel very good. You have just to know that Moroccan people speak Arabic because the they are arabisited by the arab monarch through the education. That's all. Genetically the are pure but many forgot their language or they know but they don't practice it

    • @akusaila4014
      @akusaila4014 Před 4 lety +1

      lol what are you talking about? Moroccans are not pure amazigh. Some berbers are fully berber but most Moroccans are not. You know you can do a DNA test. I'm berber and I have 91% North african DNA and Im Riffian Berber the rest were Spanish and Italian. My arab Moroccan friend had 70% West Asian (middle eastern) DNA, the rest were some European and only 4% North African. He is not a berber and you're likely not either if you are not from a tribe

    Interesting presentation...and thanks to your works more US citizens wil get to knpw about IMAZIGHEN..well done for this...But when talking about the Amazigh Movement in Algeria , you describe it as Violent is really unfair because you didnt give the context of the violences and all the years of suffering and imprisonment ,more than 120 murdered people , by the military forces using weapons only used on battllefield against people using stones to defend themselves...what about the more than 5000 crippled for life, what about an innocent young man killed by a kalash inside the military casern, they nearly cut him in half...what about the 1980 amazigh spring?what about matoub lounes? What about the son of ferhat mehenni killed in France?and what about the link between this movement and the project of an indépendant democratic Algeria during the war of indépendance? You could also have mentionned the Role of this so called "violent" Kabilia in the Amazigh Renaissance that tales place nowadays in every country of TAMAZGHA from Canarias to Egyptian Siwa and beyond...without mentionning the link between those Berber Springs ( Years before the the "Arab Springs...) and the Hirak in Algeria in 2020..
    Sorry to seem angry but so few words about those people who struggled and suffered so much during so many years is quite difficult...the least we can do for people who fought for Democracy in Areas where you had to fight both Dictatorship and Djihadist Terrorists is to give them the credit of their courage even with only a few words...
    But thank you Rachel!!

    If the Amazigh culture came during the Portuguese and French colonization, the current architecture and traditions in Morocco are anchored in rich Amazigh history. Morocco is boasts some of the finest and precious architecture the world has even seen. May I add, that there are gorgeous women in the country that holds the first University ever built.

    I wanted to highlight one thing that is very important, The way this lady is saying Amazir is the correct pronunciation Amazir for singular and Imaziren for plural, the Amazigh is not correct this is happened because when the french invaded north Africa, they started changing a lot of words for example ( Amazigh instead of Amazir, Igeni instead of Ijeni, ) this is because they could not pronounce it. so if they find these letters' combination sounds not easy to them they changed them. but most Amazir know about it, Please note that Amazir means the people that worked and lived within the earth Amazir also means garden!
    Imazighen are an ethnic group indigenous to North Africa
    Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Egypt

  • @canjeroanjani871

    i think its intelligent to make clear that before arab invasions islam was already at north africa. i think north africa should be recognized as Amaizgh land and african land not arab cause it's not their land and they aren't native. it's like europeans claiming americas as their land when the indigenous people are being discriminated. islam isn't issue it's arabs weaponizing islam so they can set themselves superior which is unislamic and extremely forbidden in rules & principles of islam. so i appropriate more research and information being told about our african people and getting their land back.

    First Thank you for your presentation, It was very short but it was okay. I would try to add some information to put people in the context of the topic. Imazighen are the native people of Northern Africa, who live in the Canarias Islands, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Mali, Bukkinafassu, Mauritania, and a west section of Egypt. We are not the minority, even the neo-colonialism regimes in Morocco and Algeria declare more than 60% of the population speak Tamazight and others Are of course systematically arabized Amazigh people. Thanks to genetic advancements which proved the lies of the French puppets who had planned for the Arabization of North African people in the 19th century in order to easily colonialize and dominate the Amazigh people who were bravely resisting the colonialism. So, There are Imazighen who speak Tamazight, who are the majority. There are the Imazighen who speaks Drija dialects which are North African Lengua Franca (mixture of French, Tamazight, Arabic, Spanish ...). So, there are no Arabs in North Africa.
    Western people conceptualize Imazighen as just a nomadic group. There are many different Amazigh big clans and sub-clans. Most of the Imazighen are not nomads. Our ancestors were the founders of architecture, mosaics, cities... etc ..

    I almost burst out laughing, I want someone to understand me why the rulers of North Africa are all Arabs, they are not Berbers , there is no such thing as an Amazigh. You are from Asia, Europe and Africa, the Arabs are more in Libya, Tunisia and Algeria because the migration of Arabs was from the island to Andalusia, so the number of Arabs is greater than the Berbers
    .
    ‏You must understand that if the Arabs leave the island, their name will be lost Arabs, not Berbers
