  • Berber Exploitation (1997): A look at how the culture of the Berbers has been exploited and suffocated.
    Subscribe to Journeyman here: czcams.com/users/subscription_c...
For centuries the Berbers of Morocco have been persecuted by their Arab masters. Today even their festivals have been hijacked. Miriam is fighting to keep her language and culture, whilst fellow militant Zaid claims the Arabs have 'stolen our history.' Etched out of a beautiful, yet inhospitable and rugged land, stands Imichil, where the annual marriage market or Moussem des Fiances takes Place. It's here that the Arab government has turned an exclusive Berber celebration into a tourist fest. Shy young brides wander around the market in traditional veils as streetwise city slickers sell trinkets and souvenirs to dollar laden foreigners. The Arabs have encouraged the press to come and soak up the traditional atmosphere It's turned into objects of curiosity in the process. Hussein and his wife to be, were forced to attend the festival in order to obtain a marriage certificate. Fascinating look at a culture being silenced and yet exploited for its rich and colourful traditions.

i think you need to go travel around Morocco and see more of life in Morocco!! Berber history and culture is not being destroyed. unless you call swapping donkeys for cars too much change from tradition lol! i know even Berber who still wont buy washing machine they are so traditional about keeping to tradition. and i live out in the mountains and deserts with different Berber tribes...they need socks and warm clothes and encouragement to let their children go to school until they are older than 15 rather than 12 but what else about improving life and understanding do you call destruction of your culture?!!

Prakash Gautam ive been living in Morocco - i first went there with friends who are Arabs lviing in and grown up in cities. then for 10 years ive been living with Berber families in a number of areas. The Berbers dont need to learn anything from the Turks and dont need to learn any of your aggression nor aggressive ideas - there has been much growth and change with Berber languages now becoming used and accepted in more official capacities. The Berber women i know all speak Berber and many have never learned Arabic nor French. Noone has made them not speak in Berber. All the males im with speak Berber and many im with speak at least 3 Berber languages. We are free to travel and associate with who and where we like. So the restrictions that are being said are BS.. Those who say the BErber and their culture are being treated atrociously are listening to history of what happened in the past. Just like saying Colonel Custer is still out shooting Chief Sitting Bull and all the indians...Yes the Arab population tend to be wealther and have more freedom to have passports and live between other countries but much of that is because they were lucky in the early days of Moroccans working and living in France etc. Yes there is stil manyof Arab descent who dont travel much and dont have much to do with Berber culture but it still doesnt mean that the Berber are being killed or held back!!!

Many Moroccans understand why they love their King and are grateful for having him. and to say the Berber are oppressed now is a lie. change has been slow but there has been change and improvements so to look only at the hardships the Berber suffered prior to the present King is unfair and ignorant and dangerous for the potential outcome if to depose him and allow the fundamentalists he keeps from taking over the government.

Riffis score 75-80% mixed with romans and iberians. Even me as an Arabized Moroccan scored more then the most rifis with 82%.you should study the history my friend, the north is strongly influenced by other populations in the past. There are no white Berbers. Just as there are no black Englishmen. All white Europeans disquised as African black Berbers, know where exactly in Europe they came from. Enough if this white Berber crocodile tears. There are no white Berbers. Only white europeans.
      🇬🇧🇳🇬🇸🇱🇿🇦🇿🇼🇬🇭
That man is lying. He is hiding the Arabs, who disguise as Africans. He is half Arab. That is why he is defending the white Arabs.
The Berbers tribes of North Africa were black Bantus. Until In 1939 during the Jewish holocaust in Germany, the Jewish elders brought the women from Germany and gave them to the Berbers tribes men for safe keeping from the Nazis. Each black Berber man was given four wives. 🇬🇧🏅🏅
When the Nazis came to fetch their Jewish slaves. They found them as wives of Berber tribes men. Each African married four wives. According to. Book called. The Holocaust written by a Jewish author. Gadafi mother and his aunty were Jewish women given to married black Berber king. Gadafi aunty returned to Israel after independence in 1945. See CZcams video titled . Gadafi Jewish aunty. She explained the whole episode on that CZcams Video. The whole truth. 🇬🇧🇬🇧
      After world war two. 🇬🇧
The white British army, the French army, the Spanish army, the Italian army, the German army, all settled in North Africa.
The white soldiers raped the black Bantus women. Black north African women were raped by the white European armies...🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
For example today, there is a prominent white Berber female singer. Her mother is black Bantu woman of North Africa. . And her father was a British soldier in North Africa. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
The white soldiers were sent to north Africa to deliberately bastardise the black population by raping the black women. Which will result to white babies. There by making whole of north Africa white. 🇬🇭🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
And again, gadafi went to Italy and told belasconi to given two thousand Italian women to married Libyan men. Gadafi paid the Italian women to married Libyan men. Making more white Arabs. Even gadafi's wife Sofia, is Italian woman.
Most Arab Moslem men married in London married to white Italian women. Example Abu Hamza. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇭🇬🇭
🇬🇧 Morocco is an Italian colony, governed by French police tax collectors, with Jewish businesses with Spanish King and Spanish royal family. The language is Arabic. The religion is Islam.
According to a book called African colonization. 🇬🇧
Jesus Christ is Lord. The bastard child shall not enter among the people of the LORD. Deauteronomy 23:2.
This video is not for kids. The cursed white man brings his bastard kids to disrupt this video sound. May the curse of God be upon England, amen. Amen. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Lakenya nice try, South, East and West Africans have never been Imazighen "Berbers" they don't speak the language and they don't even call themselves Imazighen!
Even worse Imazighen (berbers) have their dna which is the E1b1b (Y dna) there are no black Africans that carry such dna other than the brown, yellow and white Berbers of North Africa, the only ones outside of North Africa that carry such dna are the Somalians and they only carry about 40% which simply means that it's not their dna, it's North African dna!
There has also been a skeleton found a while back in current Lybia which was dated 30 to 40.000 years old and his dna was E1b1b (Berber dna).

There was even a skeleton found in current day Libya that carried that dna which was dated 30 to 40.000years old!
The only ones outside of North Africa that have that dna in very small amounts are the Somalians!
It's 100% North African dna otherwise East, West and South Africans would have had larger amounts than the North Africans!
By the way, Ramses the great was also proven to have had the Berber dna.
Middle Eastern people have never been black, Israelites came from the Middle East traveled to North Africa and beyond through Egypt, so they weren't black either.
Imhoteb lived at the time of Joseph and Jacob aka Israel, Joseph worked with Imhoteb Egyptians are as Egyptian now as they used to be back then, the evidence is everywhere.
Unless you are emotionally blinded and your eyes are filled with bullshit.

I have been for year a pro Amazigh culture in Morocco. Although I'm an Arab and have been raised in Morocco most of my life. I have learnt to speak some Amazigh words. Many of my closest friends are from Amazigh descendant. When we are together we are Moroccans not Amazigh or Arab.
This video does not really tell the real truth. The people that are being interviewed lied at many occasions. The person that made this video is clearly not a good video maker. His french was very bad and his communication skills seemed to be limited.
You cannot expose something that is considered as a problem and only speak to one side. You should know, better than I do, that as a journalist or a video maker, you are not supposed to take sides nor influence the answers of the people you are interviewing.
With all the respect I owe Miriam, I think that she should be ashamed of herself for making Arabs look so bad. You cannot fight bad with worse. Unless of course your goal is not to expose a problem but to show off on camera for exposure.
PS. reading your description of the video, not once you have used the term Amazigh. How can you agree with Miriam that claims that Berber is derived from the world Barbar, and only use Berber instead.

      @guerriermarocain7058 Před 5 lety +1

@@awsomeclipsnow No. The Amazigh people are the ones that have the fair skin and light eyes originaly and that has nothing to do with Arabs infact the Arabs that came to Morocco were the Banu Hilal, a Yemeni tribe that was dark of skin color like the original Arab. the Arab you think of is most of the time a syrian or iranian. they are more likely to have a light skin. it is more likely that the Arabs made the North Africans darker. The term Hamites is not even scientific. Eastern Hamites share more genetic history with Arabs(Yemenis) than with Western Hamites with is more logical as i.e. Somalia is closer to Yemen than it is to Morocco. The only reason that Berbers and Somalian people were called both called Hamites is because Berber and East African languages share the Afro- Asiatic branch and Germans in the 1800s saw Tuaregs, who look a lot like East Africans hence they called them the same.Tuaregs are Berber but genetically not the same as other Berbers, this is because Berbers in general are not ethnicly the same but rather cultural.
