Troy Smith and Ted Ginn Jr in NCAA Football 07 just wasn’t fair lol
Man Smith was throwing some major bombs in this game alot of quarterbacks. Playing in the NFL today that don't throw the ball that far
I miss when college players were generally from the area of the team they played for. Pretty sure every offensive starter except Holmes was from Ohio. Good luck finding anything close to that on any D1 program now let alone the top ones
Florida Miami Texas and USC would be the powerhouses again too
There’s always been schools with guys from all over like usc but you are right it’s way spread out across the nation
This was a timeless classic BCS game. Troy Smith became a college star, beginning with this game
And then...🤷♂️
Troy Smith actually beat Michigan at Ohio State in 2004 ⁉🏈🏟
And then... he won the Heisman trophy
@@randycorns7305and than... Got sick and beat out by Flacco
Brent Musburger calling football games with grace is gonna be sorely missed
Catch him on he raiders broadcast
@@HotRodRoesel2010 he’s not there anymore. He left the Raiders on June 3rd
@@ChiefBlue4298 now I’m sad
I miss when Bowl Games actually mattered
Ya I hope they don't expand playoff
Why expanding the playoffs would be great the bowl system is one of the worst systems in all of sports
@@BobBob-eb4io Though the players on those teams would have to play up to 16-17 games.
The split jersey game with AJ Hawk and Brady Quinn! So many awesome players and personalities on in this game too, Samadzija, Schlegel, and of course General Bobby Carpenter!
This OSU team had nearly beaten Vince Young and the eventual champs Texas in a shootout at the Horseshoe, while Notre Dame had nearly beaten Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush and the defending champs USC, both these teams were close to being in that Rose Bowl title game themselves
When it was ABC Sports and not ESPN on ABC.
Before Disney unceremoniously killed off one of the best brands in TV history.
Man OSU has had some stacked teams. Love watching AJ Hawk and General Bob patrolling the field lol
Fun fact, AJ Hawk and Brady Quinn are brother-in-laws! I think AJ made his feelings about Quinn very clear on that sack! 🤣🤣🤣
Pat McAfee loving this
Aj Hawk and Brad's sister will be making some ugly ass kids.
Somebody clip that play and send to PMS
Ya they said that in the video. Good fact bud
Ted ginn was such a monster in college my god
2:46 is a real "thanks for not making me look stupid" moment xD
One of the best Buckeye games of my lifetime
Not as good as 2002 vs that legendary Miami team when all these stars were freshman except for Ginn and Holmes o wanna say and Troy Smith of course cause of krenzel
Ohio State showed who was the best team in the Midwest for 2005 season with this win ⁉🏈🏜OSU and Notre Dame both entered this game with a 9-2 record..
Oh yeah, I remember this! Great bowl game.
nice seeing BCS content
Aka the bull crap system🤣
@@tleoipl37 as Auburn fan In 2004 I agree
The TE Jeff S. Became a pretty solid MLB starting pitcher for a while
The 🦈
Ted Ginn Jr was an absolute beast!!!
Santonio was better
@@IllMatic97 Teddy Ginn Jr was a better kickoff/punt returner..Santonio Holmes was a better WR ⁉🏈🏟
We love Teddy here in Cbus!
Im a Buckeye guy, but I have serious love for ND. Also Brady Quinn is a Columbus native so I'll forever love that!
Ohio State had 34 this game but tonight they scored 31 combined.
I was 9 years old when this game was played but yet I remember it so vividly. I remember exactly where I was as well. Weird to think about 😅
I was at a pro wrestling event WWE Raw this night
Rest in peace Dwayne Haskins.
7:10 I wonder how Brady Quinn and AJ Hawk are doing after this game 😂. I mean Quinn’s sister is Hawk’s wife and seeing her husband take down her brother is like…. dang 😂
They still married ?
As a Auburn fan this reminds me of the days we owned Alabama and Georgia and now we getting back to their level the same with Florida
And Jeff Samardja had a brief tenure in the Majors with cubs and white Sox
Would of been first round pick at worst round if he played
The 🦈
Fun fact idk if people remember this but #83 for ND is jeff samardja he went on to be the Chicago cubs starting pitching n actually had a really good couple year run
Brady Quinn went on to become a bust maybe if the Dolphins drafted him instead of Ted Ginn Jr his career would have been different
He really would of been good if draftee by the right team
He had so much talent and intelligence
The Browns are a place where talent is wasted and eventually dies.
THANK YEW AJ
Please put the highlights of the 2016 Ohio state vs ND game
I was in 8th grade. These Ohio State and Notre Dame teams would've smacked the ones that played today
Same miss these days I'm Auburn fan but good memories
Same with me. This was played the season before I started following college football.
I was completely obvious to all the hype for the USC-Texas game. I didn't really follow sports at all at the time.
Doubtful Charlie Weiss got exposed as a head coach.
This was the best college football season ever
2007 was..There were upsets every week..Buckeyes won Big11Ten and played a 2 loss LSU team in BCS Championship ⁉️🏈🏟️🟪🤔
Last Fiesta Bowl at Sun Devil Stadium
They need to bring that scorebug back
Charlie Weis bowl game record was terrible as a Norte Dame Head Coach
Weis was a better impersonator as the hamburgular.
@@Jman417 😂😂 wow
OSU exposed ND big time in this game. As a matter of fact ND seems to get exposed a lot lately 😂.
Usc did when Tyrone Willingham had hype also I remember
6:42 somebody clip this and send to Pat McAfee Show 😂
Damn they had bucket helmets back then 😂
“Celebration penalty” “deserves it” whatta joke
For sticking an index finger out....... how that was a penalty is beyond me.
I watched this game as a kid, but I had no idea that MLB All-Star Jeff Samardzija played football for Notre Dame. I mainly remembered this game for Santonio Holmes' early TD celebration.
Could have legit went top 15 in the draft he was considered second best wr to Calvin Johnson in that draft
Please don‘t forget: Al bundy made 3 td in one game winning the high school trophy with polk high 🐷
6:44AJ HAWK!!!!
Pat McAfee legend aj hawk!
Them Norte damn wrs 6"5
Was there no 1080p in 2006? I feel like every sports event had that at the time but apparently not 🤔
HD was still pretty rare even in 06. It didn't really become standard until like 08
This game was in HD at the time, pretty sure it’s even been on CZcams in HD at times, but NFL Throwback only has access to an SD version of the game from ESPN Classic which is why you see all the “we’ve moved ahead” overlays
I was at WWE Monday Night War on this night
God Ted Ginn should of been so much better in the NFL.
Why does the thumbnail have a picture of brady quinn he didnt throw for a touchdown Darius Walker shoud be on here
Troy Smith,Ted Ginn,Santonio Holmes,AJ Hawk,Malcolm Jenkins,James Lauranitis,Donte Whitner,Alex Gonzales,Marcus Freeman(HC of Notre Dame name)
Dan Campbell is the coach for the Lions
@@masestanley6813 I just recognized I put that my bad
@@KingDizzleLTDinc. 😂 All good
The 🦈 #83
2005 Ohio state talent wise was better then 06
Crazy how the most talented wr in this game played baseball instead of nfl smh
Tedd Ginn Jr didn't play baseball though
@@darron614 pretty sure Jeff samarjia played baseball instead of going to the nfl
@@corycarter4689 yeah I knew who you were referring to, but my point was that Ginn was the best WR and likely best player on the field.
@@darron614 even though he wasn’t.. Jeff had better stats and woulda been a top 10 pick in the draft..
But at least by playing baseball his body is in better shape now than if he played in the NFL for a decade
This wasn't even that good of a game to begin with
These refs are trash, give me a job if they don’t need to be good at it
Brady Quinn was a bust in the NFL.
More like he got screwed over and was never given a proper shot. He didn't fail. They failed him.
Notre Dame is always overrated and overranked. They were never in this game except the first drive.
