Make your all-in-one Epson Expression Premium XP-640 chipless! This procedure is going to make your printer able to print nonstop without ink levels reset needed. You will need a laptop or personal computer working on Windows operating system, an activation key, and two software applications - INKCHIP Firmware and INKCHIP Activation. This might take several minutes. To avoid air bubbles getting in the printhead, you should run the printer with the chipless firmware only when the CISS is installed and filled with inks.

Thanks! Printer doesn't care about chips any more, all thanks to you guys.
Software was simple to use, buying key worked fine, and I'm printing on refillable eBay cartridges without chips now. Makes my 640 the perfect printer.
I like my ET-3700 but it won't print to disks, and the 640 does.
I fought with this printer once when it updated firmware and refused aftermarket cartridges. Had to brick the firmware and do recovery mode to downgrade to older firmware. Now it just doesn't care about chips, so thank you. :)

Hi, Can I change the firmware without initializing the printer with the original cartridges? The printer is in new condition and did not install the original cartridges. Thanks.
