    Used the sweet potato to progress down from a mid length all summer and now progressed into a fish twin fin. Sweet potato was a great replacement for my mid length. Easier to haul around and transport like a short board and still catch a ton of waves.

    Any chance you could send a link about it or show the way it connects together?

    The Seaside will grovel on up to a little overhead, no sweet potato needed. Then a standard every day short board, thruster, squash tail, for solid shoulder to a couple feet overhead. Then a step up rounded pin tail. 5'5" seaside, 5'10" high performance shortboard, 6'3" step up is how it works for me, until things get really big.

    May I ask, as a progressing beginner can I jump from my 8'0 soft top straight to the Sweet Potato? I generally surf in subpar mushy condition and started trimming down the line (still working on the backhand) but I'm having an hard time trying to carving. Is this board still out of my league?
    Cheers!

      @groundswell3673 Před rokem +3

      Sounds like you're progressing into intermediate level. I think it's time to ditch the softy and go for a mid length PU board around 7'0 mark. Once you get comfortable with turns and speed on the middy, then I'd consider trying out a seaside or sweet potato. Keep in mind the seaside and sweet potato are very different boards than long boards and mids, they do take some getting used to, so recommend you try before you buy.
