HOI4 Timelapse - What if the Roman Empire fought the Axis and the Allies in WW2?

- A bit different than the last one with the Roman Empire. This time I make them leave the Axis in 1940 and declare war against Germany. A really fascinating scenario!

I was suprised that things ended like they did, but joining Japan's faction lead them to send way too many troops to China. While also being weakened by the war against Germany, they were just strong enough to hold their ground against both the Soviet Union and massive Allied invasions.

That's the Might of the Soviet Union as well , the Italians was at war with the Soviet Union in World War in real life and it was a disaster the Italians in Stalingrad , well that's the reality he's gonna lose in the game and in real life anyway that's historicall 🤣

Air superiority i think is the key factor here. First obtaining it vs. Germany, then obtaining it vs USSR and when the multiple air forces of the allies gained mainland airports it was game over. Maybe i'm wrong, but i think that was the key turning point. If they can't secure an airports, they can't push. Combine that with opting to not move into Africa, hold the narrow fronts there to conserve the amount of divisions you need there in order to have a far bigger presence to counter invasions from the allies.
anyway, it was nice to see Rome overcome 2 dictatorial regimes of the previous century.
I think rome could won if allies and axis would be at war too.

They liberated the Germans because they changed their ideology to democratic in the peacedeal.
And the Soviet Union in 1945 without the Debuff Purges on the Army is Unstoppable .

I didn't forget it, I just chose to give them the bare minimum they need to be able to form the nation. I will give them England in future scenarios to see if that will change the outcome.

Sure thing is even the Roman Empire can't fight the Soviet Union , the Soviet Union with all the time too prepare fields more than a 1000 divisions and can fight so much longer .
Roman Empire had a chance if they werent at war with the Allies as well. even when the Allies invaded and reclaim France and Germany the Soviet Union barely even put up an offensive
Funny thing is, the uk was fighting alongside the Soviet Union on their lands.
@@feister2869 2 key points you need to obtain in order to win mega 1000 divisions Russia: First, don't push, keep your entrenchment, second: get air superiority and combined at some point even Russia AI will run out of either manpower or equipment.
Bonus if you can handle it:
make an army or 2 of effective tank divisions to surround portions of Russian army to be killed. If done correctly, you'll be killing many Russians for a single of your own.
