    This is a long term review of the Tethrd Skeletor climbing sticks
    These seem like a really solid product and offering from Tethrd!

    I've had them for about 6 months. Incredibly user friendly and feature rich, especially for the price. I think they punch way above their weight for the price. Very impressive - Best attachment method on the market IMO. The stacking method takes practice, I had to sand mine down to get them to connect more easily and disconnect more quietly and I taped a few contact points. Other than that, they are incredible.

    Once Again Another Great Review! I picked up a set myself earlier this year. Absolutely love them so far. I run mine with 4-18" Amsteel aiders I can easliy reach 18+ft. Love the Channel, Love the Content. Being a big fella myself always appreciate your insight on the gear. Keep Up the great work 👍

    Nice review.. for height purposes I went with a single aider last year and going with the naider this year that way I have to touch points with the same leg on the way up. Aiders have always scared me that way lol.. but I set my stick at 5' and use the single Aider or naider and go up the tree.. with the 4 sticks I can get to 20' then my beast stand about another foot higher. To me the removable single aider or naider is the way to go.. of course you could still have that first step being a 3 step aided then single aider the rest of the way. Either way with a movable aider of some sort its pretty easy to get up 20+ feet. I love the fact they gave 4 sticks instead of 3. I think overall they are a great stick for the money. Maybe best all around all things considered.

    I contacted tethrd about the bottom bracket. You are right they’ll only send replacements on an as needed basis. Sort of disappointed in tethrd for that. One other aspect of the skeletors that was a big selling point for me was you get 4 sticks as opposed to 3 with the one stick.

    • @MichiganGreatOutdoors

      Yeah I heard the same thing from a bunch of guys it's really disappointing to be honest with you it's very similar to what they did with the one sticks they were sending replacement pins to guys haven't guys do the work all themselves themselves just seem very s*****

    • @MichiganGreatOutdoors
      @MichiganGreatOutdoors  Před 2 lety +1

      thats a good point, I suppose it could but if it was that windy Id suppose everything would be blowing around and it wouldnt matter. i think maybe a black aider wasnt the best choice 🤔 the camo ones might blend in better.....

    I was one of the first batch of orders for the skeletors and also watched that guys video about bending the lower stand off. I called tethrd and at the time they didnt have enough supply of the updated standoff so they told me to call back at the end of may. I did end up calling in the beginning of June and they did send me 4 new stand offs. Also how do you think that aider would work on a beast stick?

    I think Tethrd beefed up the standoffs and made them thicker...I think the tube is Grade 9 Titanium but the standoffs are 6061 Aluminum...If the standoffs were 7068 Aluminum, they NEVER would have bent even if King Kong stepped on it...

      They are in a tough spot because if they build it light and cheap it may end and if they “over build it so it is rated for 500lbs” then it would weigh more and cost more.
