  • "The society that puts equality before freedom will end up with neither. The society that puts freedom before equality will end up with a great measure of both." The desire to have more, to have what those who are better off have, is a powerful emotion. Friedman points out that the most governments can do is provide all citizens with equal opportunity to use their time and abilities as they best see fit, in pursuit of a better life. Introduced by Steve Allen. Discussion with Thomas Sowell, Hoover Institution and Michael Kinsley, New Republic. © 1990 / 49 min.

The idea of free education isn't the problem. The problem are the results.
The idea of wealth redistribution isn't the problem. The problem are the results.

Milton Friedman, Thomas Sowell, and Steve Allen... three intelligent and articulate men that I very much admire, all together in one video!

India almost went bankrupt in 1991 as alll socialist countries do. I was born in 1992 and saw first hand the rise of living standards of my family, my cousins.
Today at the age of 30, my family is a dollar millionaire, my cousins live on 29th floor in a nice apartment with pool, gym, etc. We have travelled the world and live a very comfortable life with maids and drivers.
IT revolution happened after 1990s when Indian govt permitted the import of computers. Internet allowed high IQ Indians to become software developers and create a middle class, which then drove demand for restaurants, cars, fancy houses, etc.

Equal Visibility Everywhere is a website/blog for women to be made visible instead of invisible. We have 5000+ statues of men we know, not just generic men. We have 400 women in statues. We need visual cues so that we know we matter. Just like we need more Buddy System visual cues for women. There are an overwhelming visual cues for men for the Buddy System.
