- A Saturday with no sports means a full day to take care of to-do’s!!!! One blessing of the house fire is that I’m able to overhaul my parents’ home.

When you get down (we all do) please remember there are people like me out here looking for your advice and learning through your trials!! I appreciate the time you take to make these videos and to post on many social media platforms. You have encouraged me to live freer through decluttering many areas in and out of my home. I follow your monthly calendar and am working on trying to commit to the daily cleaning habit. It is too easy for me to fall into the habit of sitting after dinner and getting to the dishes later OR waiting to clean right before company comes. THANK YOU!!!
Oh my goodness, thank you so much!!! It’s very easy for me to have that mindset that ‘what I’m posting isn’t relevant to anyone or helpful’ so thank you!!!! It is a lot of work, but the joy I get helping others is so worth it. I love the relationships we build on here. I’m so grateful for you all.
I’m so proud of your progress!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm sure your mom appreciated all your work in her storage room! That looked like a major tripping hazard to get through there and it definitely looks like she will be able to navigate it much more safely now! 🎉🎉🎉
When you made the comment "Just because I have the space, doesn't mean I have to fill it" -
I immediately thought it goes hand-in-hand with the idea that "Just because I have the money, doesn't mean I have to spend it" -
( I have very much been someone when being in stores - sees something and thinks "Oh, I *might* need this *someday* (Especially if it's on Sale/just a few $, and afraid it will be more $$ later if I don’t buy it NOW)...
And then it sits in a drawer/ closet for a long time - never having been used... That's how I have a place crammed with *things* that never served a purpose/never started that project/can't return...
Anxiety, Depression, Object Blindness in 3...2...1...
"You don't owe it to anyone to hold on to something." So true! And clearing out is a tough job. LOL, though, at 4:54 timestamp! So familiar on the left there. 😄
I just came across your channel. Your content is inspiring. When I saw you had a house fire my heart broke. We had a house fire in 2020 after living in our very first and brand new home. My husband is a contractor and did most of the work it took 18 months to build. We lived in it 11 months. And according to the firefighters something with our freezer caused it to be up in flames in 10 minutes. It wasn’t the house or the fact that we poured so much of ourselves into building it. It was the sentimental stuff. Our wedding photos, our children’s baby pictures and baby blankets ect… God was so good and so many people helped out we moved back in 5 months later. Even today things hit me like a smell or certain food that takes me back to that time. We were not home and I’m so glad for my children’s sake. I definitely hold them tighter. Objects don’t hold as much meaning when you go through something that shows you it can be gone in an instant. I hate seeing anyone go though the heart ache of loosing their home. God bless you as you move forward.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Having a health 'buddy' is better than doing it yourself. glad to hear your hubby is joining you on your health journey.
This was the most helpful decluttering video I have watched. I discovered the 6/10 list and your channel a few days ago. Already life changing. Thank you so, so much!
So much practical advice in here! I absolutely love the questions you have to ask yourself while decluttering. I am going to go back and watch it again and write them down! Letting objects have control of my emotions has gone on for too long. I am better than I was in my 20s but there is so much room for improvement. After a week in a condo for vacation where I didn't have to manage "stuff" and we only had the essentials, I can really see how beneficial declittering and living a more minimal life will be for my family.
Love you, lady! Thanks for sharing this journey with us. You are doing great. Good luck on your health journey! My husband and I just started a similar journey on Mother's Day. We are 5 days in to better food choices and more movement.
Right!? Once you take all that stuff away, you realize how little is actually needed. We’ve been programmed to believe we need so much. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m all about owning stuff as long as it’s practical and you’re actually getting use out of it.
My birthday is June 13. So May 12-June 12 I’m trying to challenge myself to better my health as a birthday gift. Hopefully after that day, I’ll start a health journey that I can continue. I’m excited to see where it takes me.
Thank you for your support!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It was a vacation that did it for me too! We can live with much less stress with fewer things around us, even the kids. I also have to write it down and am journaling them for some added fun!
You and your family life are so down to earth and real. My house will never look like an ad for house beautiful but I can manage it and enjoy my time. Thanks for sharing.
Being fake helps no one! ❤️ thank YOU for being here!
All great advice- ty! Id like to share some with you- I learned it about 10 years ago and have never done it different since! The corn- Steam rather than boil ! 1 or 2 inches of water, corn, cover, bring to a boil- keep covered, 8 min- turn off and remove from the heat- done! Its soooo good! Crispy never water logged.
Ohhh! I’ll have to try that!!
Just recently found you and I love your content! So excited to watch you guys build back better than ever! Joy is coming! 😊
Yay!! Thank you for being here!!
I love these videos! The questions to ask yourself during decluttering are great. The Minimal Mom talks about strengthening your decluttering muscles as you go and it's so true! Sentimental items are the hardest for me. I also love these videos because I can use them for body doubling when needed. :)
Yes!! Sentimental items are very difficult. But sometimes, very necessary! Thank you for being here!!!!
Love you girl. Thank you for all you do and share with us! I feel like my life is getting so much more organized since I have been listening to you. I have then inspired my husband so together we are really getting things organized and tidied up! This has helped my mental state so much and even my 4 year old seems to be more calm in the new tidy environment
Yay!! I’m so happy!! Yes, I find my kids are so much more calm when the house is organized and tidy. Thank YOU so much for being here with me through all of this. I so appreciate you. Love you right back! 😘
Thank you 🙌this was very inspiring !💕💕
Can I get a link to your car trash can thing?! Omg that would help me SO much. Also the tip of keeping the cleaning supplies in the car is smart. ❤

Thank you for all you do!
AWESOME!! Thank you, Audrey! 😘
Thank YOU for being here, Jorie!!!❤️❤️
We totally wing it with our car cleaning! We'll be moving to a new house soon, and I will be making new habits there too! The decluttering tips are helpful while I'm deciding what actually needs to come with us. The food actually looks amazing too!! Excited to try the first snack idea - it's everything I've craved this pregnancy. Thanks for sharing!
Thank YOU so much for being here!! Congrats on the new house and your pregnancy!! I appreciate you so much!
Love your videos! Gives me great ideas on what to do with organizing and my clutter. Keep them coming please!
Thank you so so much!!!
Oh Audrey, I love ur videos and advice… My bedroom walk-in closet is a hoarders dream; I can’t even walk in there anymore! It’s so overwhelming that I only START moving out the big stuff, but end up shoving it all back in after hours of going through some things that I decide to keep 😩 I feel like such a deadbeat 😔😔
No way!! We all get down on ourselves because of our clutter, you are not alone!!! The next time you plan to tackle some of it, make sure it’s a day where you’re feeling ready to get rid of stuff! Make quick decisions ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. No second guessing!! You can do it!!!
I love all of your content . Thanks for sharing .
Thank YOU for being here, Lisa!!!
Because of your videos I have made the goal to tackle one room per week this summer and do a deep declutter. I have 4 kids ages 1-8 so trying to fit decluttering everything in with all the other daily things is tough. I will conquer it though, one room at a time!
Yay!! You can do it!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Wow, that was a productive day!
I LOVE productive days!!!!!
Love it. Ready to tackle a week without my husband. Daughter is non weight bearing in a broken foot. All four dogs are on antibiotics. Then there's 25 guinea hens and 19 chickens to take care of, a concert Tuesday night and I work from 730pm to 730am 4 of the 5 days hes gone. Pray for me.
Ummm. And I thought I was busy!!!! Don’t forget: try making meals this weekend you can stick in the freezer or plan sandwiches for the week to limit dishes, make sure you stay on top of the laundry and plan out the logistics of next week on Saturday so you’re ready for the week to begin on Sunday. Good luck!!!
Thank you for your video and advice! I'm 58 and my husband just passed away in Dec. and I suffer from chronic mold illness and fatigue so it's hard for me to do the things I used to. My daughter and I are trying to declutter the house and it will be hard to get rid of a lot of his things but I know I'll have to. My daily worst problem is mail, paper, keeping old documents. I still have the last 40 years of taxes 😣 but I'm going to shred the last 33 years. 🙌 It's feeling so good to downsize! I'm going to try to follow your advice on keeping sentimental things of my grandma's and mom's stuff. It's such a burden. I like your down to earth style...don't change a thing!
I’m so sorry for all you’ve been through, but it sounds like you are motivated to make changes and the future sounds so freeing. Check in whenever, reach out with any and all questions!!! I’m posting a paperwork video next week on my FB page. Be sure to check that out!! Thank you for being here!! ❤️
@@OrganizedChaos4 thank you, I will!
I’m always here for your advice! I have slowly been decluttering my whole house but I have the hardest time getting rid of things. It’s the money part of it. We have been a one income family for 17 years and it’s a military income so it’s not much. I feel like all of the things we own were hard to pay for so it hurts getting rid of it. It does help when I have a good cause to donate too. If neighbors ask for things or say they know someone that lost everything, I have no problem filling boxes to give away. Maybe I’m making harder on myself than it needs to be but I did set a goal for the house this year. On January 1st I told everyone in the house, if there are things that have not been used between now and June 1st, they have to go. My kids will be out of school by then and they can help me do a huge purge. We need to downsize big time before my husband retires in two years and we have to move again.
First, please tell your husband thank you for his service!! I’m not sure I knew that about your family, Melissa.
Would you buy those same items again today with the money in your pocket? That’s another good way to look at clutter. I really try to have you remove emotions and then look at it all with a simple, black & white perspective. That really helps. Please keep me updated with the progress after the kids get out. I’m excited to hear!!!
@@OrganizedChaos4 I will tell him! I appreciate that so much.
That’s a good question I should keep in mind when going through everything. If I asked myself would I buy it again or save the money if I were looking at it at the store right now. We are trying to get stuff paid off so we can buy a house when he retires. A lot of stuff I would not buy right now because of that. It would definitely help take the emotion out of it. Thank you!! I’ll let you know how it goes.
How and where did you get all those energy?! I can't even. Amazing and honestly you look like you utilize that 24hr a day wisely. I kinda always feel like I have so little time for anything 😭
That’s exactly it! I capitalize on all my available minutes. ❤️
quit the soda for healthier life❤
Clean my car. 🤔 Clean my car. 🤔🤔🤔 Clean my car? 😆😂🤣🤣
I rarely clean my car 😂 I need to do it more often 😅
Yes! Actually since I do it so often, it doesn’t feel like a chore. Because it’s not too dirty.
Wish I could hire you!
🌼❤️💋
Never.....lol 😂
I have an issue with putting away things, because if i can't see it I forget I have had it and keep rebuying it. And it adds up, to the point that I keep being on the verge of getting broke. This is mostly about art supplies. I am doing 7 different media arts and crafts and if i can see the things i need it is a mess, if i cant see them I cannot find them, by the time I read labels (yes I tried labeling) my inspiration is gone. Or I find everything else but that - and that shows up after I went and bought it again. I am honestly asking for an advice or an insight.
Thank you! We’ve lived in our house for over 30 years. Our kids are grown. But we have so much stuff. I’m so overwhelmed. Do you start with a room or a corner or what?
If you go to my playlists I have two on decluttering. One is how to start and the other is just how to Declutter
How did your 30 days challenge go in the end? 🙏❤️
My only question: Do you ever take a break and do nothing just to enjoy some afternoon tea?
You (almost)lost me at “…slept in ‘til 7”… 😂
do not eat corn .. i was very under weight and a doctor recommend me to start eating corn with in 1 month i gain a lot of weight
What’s a brain dump??
I’ll try to post about it soon!!
What is a brain dump
Sorry to be critical but at the first, talking very fast, I have to wonder about the point? Besides that, everything on your counter has SUGAR in it. Good luck.
Perfection Is enemy of good. We are all in different point of out journeys, and even thou what you' Say might be TRUE we have no idea what this Person Is going through, what her challenges are or where She comes from in her Life.
What i see Is a very inspiring young woman doing her best to improve not only her Life quality but also the ones of her Kids and random strangers on the internet.
So yes, She night have a couple too many sugary items in her pantry, but come on, do we really have to criticize others?
🙏 Bye!
@@akela1797 you are absolutely RIGHT - THANK YOU!
