Something similar to the dog example happened to me some time ago but i actually handled it differetly and to me its even better than your way which was i separated them both tried to calm down the situation but the dude wont stop running his mouth. Told him to control himself firmly and so he did. I didnt fight the dude. When he went back to his stuff my girl came up and said, that was very sexy!
