I think he went with what fit for his opponent instead of being so strict with not recycling. He won anyway in my opinion.
yeah when you hear the same joke twice it kinda sucks not to mention the abortion jokes just weren’t even funny on top of that the recycled jokes he deserved the loss he took.

He clearly lost and Pat rightfully got the win here. Dina Hashim wreaked him before but the judging made no sense. Glad they got it right here

Really underrated critiques from the judges, respectful and just really great comments. Each one said something different. I had it for Eli for the same reasons Nikki did, but Anthony isn't wrong about his assessment either.
I actually enjoyed this one, I like it when the roasters sometimes bomb....it shows that its a real competition

yes, i agree normal tv show's are edited. This show however is trying to claim that it is is a real roast battle and that the audience is just reacting how they normally would. To me this show is obviously not genuine. It appears to be employing the same tricks "reality" tv uses while implying it is just a roast battle
Onechill Braj no because Blake lost, and if u look at a show like wild n out Celebs always win, however I remember Ann Coulter said that on Comedy Central celebrity roasts, everyone is aware beforehand what jokes are coming in, so the same could be said for the televised roast battles

Disappointed in Eli. I watch all his battles and he had two jokes in there that were worse than anything i have heard from him. He is usually much more consistent than that.

Maybe being out of New York thrown in LA is part of it. Still, his material could've been better. I think all the miscarriage stuff could've worked with the right flow. Like returning to the dead baby stuff had to be less obvious. Only late in the joke like a Patrick Schroeder thing.

It's the first battle I've seen him lose since he became the Roastmasters champion. That was in Feb 2017 to be precise.
He is usually so much more consistent than that.
Nathaniel Odei First battle with neutral judges. He's been on the charity end of "wins" several times. He's been prop'ed up far too long, and his material is weak.
Point me to where any of his previous jokes bombed like the one did here? He clearly didn't do as well as he usually does.

East Coast Roast Battles at the Stand set the standard, IMO. Simple production and natural, funny banter between host and judges.
The West Coast campiness seems forced and detracts from the battle watching experience and flow.
Maybe I just miss the good old days.

This felt really weird, because Eli Sairs is normally as savage as they come. I thought he was going to annihilate Pat, but he had a bad night. Still, I think he barely edged out Pat in this and should've won, but the crowd went soft on a couple of his jokes.
