- Today we bring out some of the Federal Power-Shok 12ga 3" 15 pellet 00 buckshot and put it to the test at 40 yards through the Remington 11-87 and a Kicks Buck Kicker full choke. We definitely saw some pretty interesting results from this combo, so stick around and see how it performs!

I would say nice ,it did what it should do and the rounds performed well.
Yep, it was definitely a solid performance, but we will see how this choke does as we continue to test it I suppose
Great testing. Love the templates👍
Glad you enjoy!
Sweet! Kicks told me my .680 mobile choke is the exact same as the mobile buck kicker choke in Mobil threads. It will place 5 to 6 pellets in a 5” circle out of gun at 60 yards pretty consistent with 41 pellets of #4 buck with both the Winchester and Remington 3” 12 ammo. It’s a coyotes nightmare! Good choke! Never had good luck with 00 buck in any choke. But #4 buck seems to hold tight. I'd tell you try #4 buck in in. The 39/41 pellet versions.
I will definitely see what I can come up with for some other buckshot pellet sizes to test
@@matttyreeoutdoors I think you would get some better patterns if you found some #4 3” loads. I like the 39 to 41 pellet loads. Anything bigger than number four factory ammo I can’t seem to hold a pattern past 25 yards.
Buck Kicker Light Full at .690” will work better with 00 Buck.
@@robertblumer2578 I haven’t looked at their buck kicker line since it first came out. When they first introduced it there wasn’t a constriction Liston on them and just called buck kickers. I called and was told the 12 gauge mobile was .680 at the time. It works AWESOME with #4 buck. Makes sense a size up would work better with bigger buck shot.
Ooohh the piggies in the wheat won't like that one lol🇦🇺
Yep, definitely not!
I've heard about this choke and always good. Now let's see how it works with more traditional 00 & 000 buck. Some #4 would be nice too. Hope to see your channel grow. Keep up the great content.
We are definitely gonna test it with a bunch of different loads, so we'll see what it can do
I recall seeing something about the number of pellets in these loads... IF you can find loads with an even number of pellets, they seem to pattern better than the odd numbered loads. Like an 8 pellet load patterning better than a 9. Interesting.
Maybe that would be a good test.
I actually did just pick up an 8 pellet 000 buck shell recently, so we will see if there is any noticeable difference right off the bat or not
Try that 690 black mamba through their I think it'll work
That might be something we can try sometime soon
I had a similar pattern with the hole in middle like your pattern.
REM 870 26” barrel
Buck Kicker Full
Federal Premium 2 - 3/4 “
00 Copper Plated 12 pellets
Switched to Buck Kicker Extra Full
Put all 12 pellets in a 13” circle at 50 yards !!!
I guess we will see if it become a common issue or not as we continue to test this choke. Maybe eventually I will get the other constrictions and test them side by side to see how much of a difference there might be
@@matttyreeoutdoorssometimes
.005” difference does a World of good !!!
Those 2 3/4 12 pellet 00’s are bad to the bone. I get the same patterns you described in my Rem 1100 with buck kicker extra full. Every shotgun I’ve tried with the kicks and those 12 pellet 00’s have all shot really consistent.
Over the years I have had best hunting patterns in Remington barrels with #1 buck. (Your results may vary...)
I'll have to see if I can get some to test then
