    Larry, great video.What do you have in your garden for mulch? Is it sand? I see the plastic, but I also see something else in there. My biggest problem is with weeds. I can never find the time to pluck them all out. By the looks of it you seem to have that problem taken care of.

    Hey Larry! I've enjoyed your videos on worms and worm castings ... I noticed you sprayed the worm tea on the leaves. Wouldn't worm tea be more beneficial for the roots and help bring those great nutrients into the plant by the roots? Are you using this for pest control? Just curious how you use the product and what it is good for, specifically. Thanks!

    I love Larry, RIP, but I'm pretty sure this isn't a very good method. According to a lot of reliable sources, you make worm tea using dechlorinated water and molasses, and you let it steep for around 24 hours. The rationale is that worm castings are full of useful bacteria, and you want these to reproduce in your tea. You dechlorinate so the bacteria won't be killed. And you add molasses to give them something to eat. Most people use some type of pump -- like an aquarium bubbler -- to oxygenate the process. Don't know how necessary any of this is, and there are a lot of people who say compost teas are bunk no matter how you make them.

  • @richardmelichar8761
    @richardmelichar8761 Před 7 lety

    But you didnt add any additional bacteria, nothing multiplied.
