    "More human than human..."
I really do not know what to say about this, both movies took me away somewhere. I had a very emotional trip going with it there. It was really hard to convey all the human feels in one simple video, but if you are interested I can do more about it. We'll see how we progress with this new thing.
A list of people who are very dear to me:
Oskar Frode, Kira Ernst, Maggie Seider, Carpine Olivier, Kieran Rice, Bethany Vann, Jonathan Kuruc, Flor Tejada, Jack McCann, Georgia Kelly, Henning Just, Andrew Sinnott, Bilaal Afzal, "retonho", Lachie Gordon, Sean Stubblefield, Matt Zweig, Ivan Malov, Christian Mitchell, Kirk Beatson, Maike Waldorf, Michael Robb, Matthew Webb, Joe Lott, Camille Bulaclac, Rachel, Tuck Carrara, Robin Robinson, Janis Lapels, Sebastian G, Joseph Wittmann, Luke Ecock, Teo, Nicholas and Vittoria Ortepi, Grace, Aidan Heaney, Brittany Tenhage, Bagelbaker, Tanja Strietzel, Tom Mcdonald, Sawyer, Nicholas Abad.
You make my life better !
You people are awesome ! I hope you'll stay awesome !

Roy died in the rain after proving his humanity by showing empathy and saving Deckard.
K died in the snow after proving his humanity by showing empathy and saving Deckard.
One film explores what a human feels when confronted by machines wanting to be human.
The other film explores what a machine feels as it undergoes this emotional evolution.
    And both are masterpieces.

Good theory, you deffo picked up on the cinematic language.
But that only works if you consider that Deckard was human.
The unicorn scene (which was deleted in one of the many cuts of the film) proves Deckard was a replicant.
The theme of the implanted memory takes on more meaning if you accept Deckard was a replicant.
      IMO

The "go met your daughter" is the "Like tears in rain" of BR 2049. I think it's just simply perfect because Villeneuve, as big fan of the original, didn't want to "surpass" or be "bigger" than the first film trying to recreate a similar monologue. Both are the last words of these strange beings trying to find what means to be human and I love how they discover this just moments before dying. Both films are masterpieces.

Lmao, I'm surprised you said the whole premise sucked when it is basically another version of the old one. Detective takes a case that will make him re-identify his whole character, thus learning a poetic statement towards the end of the movie. That with an actual love story, true detective work, and upgraded visuals.

@CorathTheHung 2049 is a Great Movie, but the original is something that goes beyond this definition. It is more of a philosophical essay that digs deeper into the existential statement of "being human" without the necessity of an intriguing plot, or other technicalities. So in my eyes it stays on a higher level than 2049, which, anyway, is one of my favourite movies of the last decade.

I like how K's words echo what Roy Batty said all those years ago, even though what K saw since he got that case was, very small compared to Batty's, but the thing which makes it just as compelling is the chain of events K went through, things he saw, it actually made him question his existence as a replicant. It actually made him question whether he was half-human. I think this was a beautiful tragedy and K is very sad that all that will be lost when he dies as he lies on those steps outside the facility where he takes Deckard to meet his daughter.

Great work, as always. Would you consider doing a video on K? There's so much material to work with for him. His hopes and doubts about the child, his relationship with Joi and how it affects his relationships with other women, his search, his emotions eventually taking control, his loss of Joi followed by the revelation that she was never his to begin with, his transformation into a person and proof that he has a soul in the film's climax and him finally dying as a "human". The nuance is breathtaking and I would love to see it compiled, if you're ever interested. I agree that the movie takes you away someplace magical.

Loved both films since I first watched them 2049 he talks constantly about a soul that you must be “born to own a soul” I think that’s wrong I think you.....create your own soul you earn it by your feelings and actions and deeds this was another breathtaking piece my friend keep it up
