  • In this video I pull down the hi lo to see what parts we might need for assembly.
Hello Im Lance (aka Bundy Bear) and doing these videos is my hobby. I do own Queensland Tractor Spares in Australia where I sell parts and offer technical advise to customers.
Parts seen in our videos can be purchased from www.queenslandt...
We have a lot more than we can offer on our web site available to us and in our store. If you dont see what you would like please email info@queenslandtractorspares.com.au and we will help where we can.
I do try and help with technical advise at bundybearsshed@gmail.com if you have a question or are having trouble with your project.

We just pulled one of these on a 3130 and it was absolutely destroyed. Everyone seems to hate these tractors and the hi/lo parts are hard to find. Do you have any insight why everyone seems to shy away from these? The motor and other hydraulics has always seemed pretty good but when this unit went out, it broke almost every single piece inside the unit.
I read the 2940 was an improvement. It looks like 1 set of the clutch discs in that unit are much bigger than the other set, but wasn’t sure if that was a clue or not.
We did replace the hi lo unit and gear pump and other perishables, I’m hoping it’ll last us for quite awhile or else next time I think it will get parted out.

Usually when they start to play up people seem to put the job off but if you hop into the repair early it is often way cheaper. Not enough revs when changing can let them slip too at times.

Hi, been following you for 4 months and i appreciate your informative videos. I'm a farmer in Kentucky, USA. I had a leak of fluid in my 3130JD, i split the tractor and replaced the rear crankshaft seal, JD Dealer let me borrow the tool to install the new seal. I put the tractor back together and the leak remained. I split the tractor on the transmission side and replaced the transmission seal. I put the tractor back together and the leak remains to leak. It's leaking into the clutch housing and onto the ground. What should I be looking for at this point? Thanks

You need to work out if it is engine oil or transmission oil. Run paper up the trans shafts to see if they come out wet, if they do there is your problem.

Hi Lance, Just wondering if there is a height measurement( back to to back) on those Bellevue spring as this was pretty critical on some shit I used to work on? I believe that it was an indication that the springeness ( English according to me) may have sprung. Great vid as usual. Thanks mate, Huey

Well mate, Google says you've still got a mind like a steel trap.
And the wind noise is barely noticeable, certainly nothing worth worrying about.

No It is a lot louder in real life, the sound recording equipment I use filters a lot of it out as I go. I record two different sound tracks.
