Drum Lessons for Beginners - Basic Beats 1

Hi everyone!
In this series of videos we're breaking down some of the most common patterns that you're going to be playing as a drummer, starting off today with the bare bones of what your entire playing career will be built around. This is the standard 8th note pattern, and the one that is taught first in almost every tuition book. In the following videos we'll show you how to move the bass drum beat around the bar, creating some of the most popular grooves used throughout rock and pop of the last few decades, and also hint at some 16th note placing toward the end of the series.
