This happened in Arizona as well. Appraisers inflated the values… I saw it first hand and knew things were gonna get bad and they did.

They are tearing down affordable apartments and replacing them with luxury apartments that workers can't afford. We don't need granite counter tops, gym or event space that rents for over $2000-3500 a month.

Biden's executive orders on the first week in office reverse strict border policies, oil drilling, and lifted sanctions on countries we now have to buy oil from. Broke the economy, inflation is at the highest is been in decades, housing is more expensive because of buildings materials, insurance is more because of the same plus natural disasters. The world is at the brink of war because of weak foreign policy. The world thinks we are weak disasters. People need 2 or more jobs to accomplish what one could before 2020. But please explain to me how the USA is better off with this clown in the White House? How has our lives improved with JoeBama in charge?

It’s crazy here in Florida. I bought a home with my mother at the end of 2020 for 298k, then she met some shady dude and wanted to sell, so we sold in 2022 for 398k and she ran off and bought another home she is now upside down on. I can’t even fathom how big families survive with groceries so high! My 16 year old needs to get a job to support his gym & fast food habit. All of this to shake up the swing states? Forclosures? They take forever!!! You can miss payments for a year without issues. Then big companies come in and scoop up the homes. Blackrock neighborhoods every where. I am glad I’m up north and not down south where you’re at… they keep trying to scare us into thinking this will be a severe hurricane season? Ugh, please, Florida needs a break.

Why is someone making $250 K in credit card debt? Even when I made $25K, $35K, $45K eventually $55K I put 2 kids thru college. Today on a fixed income lower than $25K, debt free and plan to stay that way. Plus they need to shop around, Costco has a bag of organic apples for $8.00 and bulk meat at lower cost and at ALDIs you can get fresh vegetables for the lowest price.
There goes the Starbucks every morning, bottled water at lunchtime, eating out 1-3 times a week and, and, and…….
I’m not worried about mortgage defaults not because of a crash in the housing market. I’m worried that our government might do something as dumb as tax us for other people mortgage payments

Hi Chris apples seven dollars each, wait I've always said the gal. Of milk would cost fifteen many yrs ago,that things would cost so much. And it's happening,but that the rent would be outsite that i never thought ,landlords would get that greedy.I feel so bad for families these high rents i just heard was caused by the banks,that are buying everyones houses.
Talk to your Governor about the housing issues in Florida. While he is focusing his attention on "Don't Say Gay" which is odd that Ron DeSantis is a closeted homosexual,. He should focus his attention on the insurance issues and other issues that affect the price of homes there. Being the third most populated state, one might expect home prices to be high due to the nature of supply and demand.

Oh come on in the last 3 years the value of the dollar didn’t decrease by 50%. A house that doubled in price like the one I sold was a real massive increase.
Purchasing power of the usd has declined close to that... in REAL TERMS Real Estate values have gone up very little... living standards & quality of life continue to decline due to the lack of sound money, lack of free markets, lack of property rights & lack of the Rule of Law (the 4 things necessary for the Capitalism that no longer exists in the usa thanks to "Americans forgetting that Government is BY DEFINITION an inherently coercive, wasteful, & inefficient monopolist of ultimate decisionmaking & violence."

You always say a lot but you never explain anything. For example apples being expensive might have something to do with Florida kicking out all the Mexicans. Which means they struggled to find any labor at all for produce. Or how Greg Abbott is purposely delaying produce trucks at the border. Causing millions of produce to go bad. Causing our food prices to go up.
