- 🥱 Attention spans during presentations MAX OUT at 10 minutes, so how do you stop the audience from tuning out 20 seconds into yours?
In this video I’ll show you 3 FREE Tools to Create ENGAGING Presentations that will hook your audience in right at the start, keep them engaged throughout, and leave them wanting more at the end.
At the beginning of my presentations, I like to poll the audience using Mentimeter. I try my best to ask some funny “punny” questions to lighten the mood and get in some quick laughs right at the beginning
During the presentation, I usually leave a Sli.do QR code on my slides so the audience can leave their questions within the Q&A queue. This way, they won’t interrupt me during the presentation nor will they forget the questions they wanted to ask
At the end, I like to use Kahoot to quiz the audience to see whether or not they’ve been paying attention. Kahoot has been around for a while now and has evolved quite a bit over the past few years but I still use it for its game / quiz / competition features 🎮

As a teacher I'm going to steal all this, master it, and then use it as a presentation to train other staff. We need to increase student engagement and stop fighting over cell phones.

Slido is the best. You can insert slido slides (with different question types) into you presentation in google slide so you will not need to switch between tools. Also, you can insert slido slides throughout your presentation and it will be more engaging.

1. I usually say something like "if you want to win a prize...you better get to kahoot quickly" at the end hahaha. But you could stick with 1 platform if you think 3 is too much!
2. Company swag (provided by the company, could be things like pens all the ways to backpacks!)

Know I'm a few years late to this one, but as all 3 have essentially the same features, for example both Slido and Mentimeter can do quizzes with leaderboards, why split the presentation across these three rather than using one? Especially as most of these all cost $$$ to actually host more than a few people.
I thought mentimeter was completely free?

Great video. What software or app did you use to make this video? I mean the part where you showed your screen, zoomed in and added red marks and st the same time displayed yourself on the bottom of the screen.

Man I think you watch too many Ted talks. In consulting the point is to be clear start with the conclusion then explain get to the point quickly have supporting slides in case you need them use action titles that are self explanatory. Everything that you didn’t mention in particular you don’t want to leave audience wanting more you need to make sure the slides fulfill their purpose and help achieve the meeting goals anyway you do you
I agree with you to a certain extent! You can be as clear and concise as you want but if the audience (the people you're trying to reach) is not engaged, they won't retain anything :(
