  • Here is the latest vardo out of the Tiny Industrial shop. On it's way to the customer, I stopped to shoot this video tour. A shell is a great way for a customer to 1) save money 2) create their own look and style 3) try out their own design and construction skills.
    This one has an overall height of 8' and is built on a 10' by 5 1/2' trailer.

    Amazing!! Been looking for instructions on electricity, AC and water. This really explained it for a beginner! Thank you!

      Glad that was helpful for you. Thanks for the kind words. Any other video you think that I should do that you are still lacking some clarity on?

    Chris, I would also like to add that there are multitudes of people these days posting videos just to brag about what they own or what they can do with no real intent of truly helping anyone but themselves. Oh sure, there are some that post "instructional" videos but they leave out key elements making the "instructions" virtually worthless for any of us. I believe this to be fruitless and so does God. Your online Instructables on the 4 x 8 camper are so detailed and provides so many photos, that even someone like me, who knows nothing about construction, can actually begin to believe something like this is possible. I can certainly understand how time consuming it was to do that. Of course, all things are possible with Jesus Christ! Thank you for actually providing something that is truly helpful to people like me. I know you have made a business out of this and there is nothing wrong with that. We must all pull our weight so that we can help those that cannot. Praise be to God for your success and may He bless you with many more years to come! Peace and Love to you and yours! - Tina, The Mrs.

    As far as sealing the floor, is it better to put the Waterproof membrane on the trailer before you start putting the enclosing 2x12's? Or is caulk sufficient sealing out the water where the metal meets the 2x12's?
    Also what product did you use? Thanks.

    • @TinyIndustrial
      @TinyIndustrial  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Hi. I suppose you could do either. This is generally my preferred route that I describe. The membrane is a vapor barrier available at the big box stores in the floor department.

      @TinyIndustrial Thank you. My uncle told me about using galvanized flashing overlapping yesterday. I guess you can screw it down using roofing hardware.
      I was also thinking since the 2x12 is 11 1/4 we could also put a 3/4 treated plywood with a rubber sealant on the bottom. Therfore bringing the 2x12 up level with the top of the angle iron and completely sealing the bottom from water. Of course it's more expensive.
      I'm kind of an over thinker and since tearing off the walls of my rv to fix water damage I'm kinda paranoid of water lol
      I was also thinking of putting house wrap on the studs since plywood needs a 1/8 gap for contraction like they do on diy truck campers.

    hi, brand new to your channel. i need to learn how the solar system works.

    • @TinyIndustrial
      @TinyIndustrial  Před 3 lety

      Yes, I should do a segment on solar. I'm converting a bus right now that will definitely be getting a solar set up, so there will be some solar power set up videos coming in the not too distant future.

    I like the little wagon. Who made the wagon?

    • @TinyIndustrial
      @TinyIndustrial  Před 4 lety +2

      Hi there. I built it. My company is called 'Tiny Industrial' www.tinyindustrial.com. The utility trailer it's built on is by Premier.

    Love it! What was the cost of the shell?

    • @TinyIndustrial
      @TinyIndustrial  Před 4 lety +2

      The cost of a shell starts at around $6000 depending on what you want or don't want in there (plus the price of the trailer...separate purchase).

      @TinyIndustrial  Před 2 lety

      Thanks. Yup, a shell is a good way to go on a budget. The folks that bought this one have slowly built out the interior and set it up as a full featured camper. I just provided the canvas for them to do that on. :)

      @@TinyIndustrial Hey, nice work! Please disregard the vile comments by "the real gypsy king"... This moron goes on every vardo or Gypsy wagon site and spouts his idiotic comments and self-flogging ideas about how the World is a horrible place because someone is appropriating a word that he has claimed. And worst of all he made a comment about "menstrual shows" ?? I believe it's "minstrel shows" Gypsy King... haha So, Tiny, great job with the build. Thank you for the video and walk around.
