Yay! This is the channel that made me a fan to begin with. Love the warmth and beauty of watching your familyâs life in tropical Maui. â€ïž. Please keep posting here!

Fun fact: Paprika (bell pepper / capsicum / whatever you call it), especially red ones, are even richer in Vitamin C than most citrus fruit, they actually contain about twice as much Vitamin C as oranges and lemons. If you don't have access to oranges/lemons, don't like them or just have an intolerance you can easily omit them by eating red paprika
Does it still keep the vitamin C content if you dehydrate them in a dehydrator? (in the UK during high summer these are actually quite affordable, but more prohibitive at other times of year). Convenience factor also.
Thanks for the tip! I was also surprised by mangoes Vitamin C content.
Iâve been watching you guys since Elvis was little and Iâm finally having my first baby! Iâm just vegetarian and I live in Indiana but I loooove your content and itâs so inspiring. I love you guys!!!
Being vegetarian is amazing! No "just" about it!
Iâm not vegan, Iâm not pregnant but I enjoy your videos so much! Thank you for the awesome tips đ

Same, i have to say though, these videos do inspire me to be less meat and animal-product-centered. I am a carb-conscious person. Seeing these lovely salads with tahini, avocado, and sauerkraut really does motivate me. I make my own kraut all the time!
The healthiest I ever was, was when I was vegan on Maui. Sunshine and nutrient dense food is a spectacular combo. With so much activity it actually caused me to eat less as well but I never lacked energy. I was just..lighter.
It is so hard for me to sustain veganiism and Iâm so jealous when people can grow their food in their backyard.
I'm not pregnant, never been, and will likely never be, but I found this video so helpful! I think these are excellent tips for just being a healthy human being â€ïž
I thought so toođ
I'm grateful you won't be subjecting unborn children to this malnourishment
Most vegan women are unable to have kids anyways.
@@Silphwave Oh for fucks sake.
@@infinitecreators3218 I understand your reaction, I wouldn't listen to anyone either and had to learn the hard way. All the best, you'll come around one day.
I tried my first papaya this weekend because of you. It was delicious. I don't know where I've been the last 29 years but clearly I've been living under a rock LOL.
@Denise Huang it definitely is! I put a little tajin on mine and it was amazing.
Oh man! It looks so good but I just canât get into it⊠I keep trying đ©
@@nathaliecabrera8859 where do you live? I hate papaya too but once I went to the canary island and suddenly loved it. So I think it definitely depends where you get it from
@@nathaliecabrera8859 try adding lime, it completely changes it! đ

Another fun fact about avocados is that they resemble a baby in the womb and also takes about 9 months to grow. Great for pregnancies!
good to know!
If your skin is an indicator of health, you are so, so healthy!! You are glowing!!
If you're like me living in Europe or other parts of the world where you don't have access to locally grown quinoa then millet is a great alternative!
I found your page years ago when I went vegan and was having my first vegan pregnancy, and Iâve followed along ever since. Iâm so grateful I found your channel đ§Ąmuch love and blessings to you siStar and your beautiful family đ§Ąđ
Hi Ellen, thanks for another beautiful video. I just got your 3 recipe books today and am so thrilled. They are just beautiful and it is so obvious that you really put your heart and soul into them.
Ellen Iâm so happy to see a video from you this morningâ€ïž Iâve been really missing seeing them. You always leave me with such a good vibe feeling. I love your podcast too but can we have both xxx
I love watching your videos! I'm currently 14 weeks with my first and found this most beneficial.
I'm one of the women who has suffered with Nausea, morning sickness and food aversions...cannot drink cordial juice anymore, onions are a no go along with a few other things.
I am going to give your ice cream recipe a try (I have a real thing for ice and ice cream!). Also your video has made me think about what i may be/am lacking, so thank you, because I can now improve...it's never to late to change habits.
Hey Ellen, I'm pregnant as well (think we might be quite around the same week) and I made your ICE CREAM the other day. I added a tbsp of cinnamon as well and it's amazing! Me and my Partner are obsessed! Thank you SO much for the recipe and all the other great food ideas I got from you over the years!!
All the best to you and love from Germany â€
I havenât tried Ellenâs coconut milk ice cream, but I absolutely love banana nice cream. My favourite is to top it with maple syrup and pecans; it tastes like butter pecan ice cream.
Hey, Iâm german too! đđ
Do you have the recipe for the ice cream?
@@VALINTINE2007 She said it in the video or do you mean banana kice cream? Ellen also has an older video about it!
@@SurfergirlKH She listed the ingredients but not the measurements.
Love your cook books. Wonderful reminder on eating healthy even when not pregnant.
Oh man, how I MISSED your videos. This was soooo informative, even when not pregnant. I miss your family videos, they always fill me with such joy and love for kind humans⊠(which we could use now) đ§Ą
YES to the chilled water thing! Iâve found this too. Itâs bizarre but I find water just has to be chilled during pregnancy! Glad Iâm not the only one.
I love making a spring mix salad with roasted pine nuts, chilled quinoa, sunsweet yellow tomatoes , feta, and the white balsamic dressing
Good to see you Glowing!!!!
You are an inspiration on plant based foods. I enjoy ur recipes you share!
Im freezing coconut milk into ice cubes to make ice cream for my Grand daughters!! Thank you for all great ideas!!!đ
vegan pregnancy, children, and the lifestyle is general is just so much healthier. i remember going to a doctors appointment with my sister when she was pregnant and just hearing all of the non-vegan foods she had to cut out in risk of harming her baby⊠while with a vegan diet you can eat so much nutritious, delicious food and not have to worry.
I love your videos, keep on the good vibes beautiful radiant family!!đđ€đž
Whose been here since the raw days?! đââïž cooked or raw as long as itâs vegan Iâll be watching

Iâm not pregnant or even a mom but this was very cool to watch just for healthier food ideas & choices
Thank you, Ellen! Please, talk more about hair - yours is amazing!
As always your videos never disappoint. Personally my body does really well with higher amounts of cooked veggies and low fiber, low fruit, low sugar, and average protein. I love seeing how other people eat and what type of diet they thrive on. Congrats on baby #5.
You inspire me! Where can I find that sourdough recipe đ€©
Can you please make a video on how you keep your body in shape postpartum? Like, how you avoid stretch marks, pelvic strength after birth, etc.
Thank you, Ellen. Grateful for you!
Love this channel so much đ„°đ„°đ
I just found out Iâm pregnant & decided to do water birth & thatâs how I discovered your channel I love it đ i need recipe books because Iâve been wanting to go fully plant based for years & u just motivate me to pursue it now especially that Iâve just found out Iâm expecting
You just have amazing energy so you must be doing something right. I am struggling right now with lots of food allergies and not knowing what I can even eat. I know I will get to a healthy place again where I can eat all the amazing life giving foods that you recommend here.
Hi Ellen,
would love to know, where your orange squeezer is from đ Thanks a lot đ
I have missed your videos!!! Loved this
I am 100% agree with you!
Fresh fruit & fresh green are must for pregnancy đâ€ïž thank you for your video!! Very helpful
Thankyou for your super smart inspirational advice!! Love it!!!đđđđđđđđđ
I so appreciate your videos! I am five months pregnant and I am always praying my baby girl doesn't have an adhd tendencies like me. I also got sick at 19 with hyperthyroidism. Now, that I am 30 and pregnant, my midwife did tell me to take this medication because now it's too low. It hasn't bothered me for years. I love meat but I also love carrots, strawberries, watermelon, pickles and plums. I really enjoy spinach and kale but I definitely need to cook more and learn more healthy recipes. God bless you for sharing! My sister has been vegan for about two years but most of her food was not appealing to me and her fridge always smelled terrible in my opinion. I know fresh means stronger odors but I always wondered if it was a way around it. LOL.
Iâve been watching your videos for awhile now back when you had one baby. I finally created a gmail and now Iâm able to subscribe! I love that we are pregnant at the same time.âșïž
I follow a personalized menu made by a dietician. Everyone has different needs based on lifestyle, weight, quality of sleep, food allergies. A dietician will also measure the perfect portion for you, for produce like lentils, tofu. Also for pumpkin seeds and chia seeds. It changed my life!
Really appreciated this video! Great tips!
Oh thank u! So glad I found your channel

I started making big batches of ginger tea to keep in the fridge and it has cleared up all breast pain and it makes it so much faster to go to the "bathroom" whereas before I was having to sit and wait for a while which was causing issues.
Do you mean constipatio?
@@dellagool4869 not quite haha, I just had to wait a long time every time I went before.
Ellen I'd like you to know that you have also young audience just like me! I'm 22 and I follow some of your vegan delicious recipes even though I'm not a vegan myself! Also you inspire me in so many ways and I'm thankful for that â€
Loved watching this!! I'm hungry now!!!
Such great tips!! Thank you. Not even pregnant...but just LOVE everything! P.S. We love your granola at our house too. I get requests for it from my husband. :)
Do you do any meal preps to make the week simpler?
Congratulations on your 5th pregnancy! Iâm new to your channel recently subscribed and I look forward to follow you along this journey specially since I my self just found out Iâm pregnant with our 6th baby đ€đłđŹđ€Ż đ I find myself experiencing food aversion. Which I had no idea what it was until recently, I find myself being hungry all the time but nothing seems appealing to me everything is just đ€ą specially meats and poultry. This pregnancy is really a WHOLE new experience to me compared to how easy going all 5 past pregnancies have been for me with my boyâs (the reason I firmly believe itâs finally a girl this time đ€đœâșïž) so I found my self frustrated and still hungry last night after not enjoying dinner asking my spirt guide Raul đ to Please Please Please guide me to any and all CZcams videos that can help me inform, learn and over all just help me with this food aversion of mine and how to manage it and just help me find the help I am looking for and really need and well here I am I have been watching a lot of your videos this morning and every food youâve mentioned so far just sounds like itâs exactly what I need right now! Like i truly feel like I can tolerate it and feel good about eating âlightâ if I may say so with out the concern of not eating meats and poultry like I used to and feel like I am not eating appropriately⊠hope that made sense any how I look forward to your videos. I truly believe I am here for a reason and you have some how been put in my feed to help me with my food aversion and intrest in eating healthier this time around. Thanks in advance
Hi Ellen Iâm not pregnant but I appreciate your content so much! And I would love it if you gave us an insight in how it is that you get vitamin D. It would mean the world! Thank you! đ
Thanks for advices

What do you think about Celtic sea salt? What kind of salt do use? Your healthy eating has inspired me

She is a scammer, a liar.
Your sourdough looks so good. Please share your recipe đ
Just go eat unprocessed raw wheat
Iâm on my second vegan pregnancy and this time ive been finding a lot of inspo in your recipes, posts and cookbooks. And i feel SOOO good. Minus weeks 8-12 where i was nauseous lol but since then, ive been focusing on healthy whole food plant based and itâs made a world of difference. I definitely ate a lot more junky vegan last time around. Thank you for this content!
I love how Ellen emphasizes the difference and importance between fresh fruits and processed sugars đ€
Fresh banana mashed up frozen is yummy ice cream, I like it with flaxseed.
Beautifull video great enerhy from Ellen. Always God bless you
I understand how all these foods are extremely rich especially when you get them locally grown and organic. But I wonder, how does the nutrition look in these foods, when we/I buy them from the supermarket, where they might even be shipped from other countries and sometimes not even available organic.
Would love to hear if there is much difference there âșïžâš
your hair is looking great! do you still use function of beauty? or could you do an updated regimen? đ
Loved this video. I remembered to eat some sushi to get iodide. I don't like meal prep or recipe type videos but videos like this are beneficial to remind different foods to my body. Lots of love from Turkey. đâșïž
Would def be trying out this coconut milk icecream
I thought I was the only one that did half and half quinoa to rice! Kids and husband love it that way over just quinoa
M y top book recommendation is âNourishing Traditionsâ by Sally Fallon
Ellen, thank you so much for your videos. Because of you I had a wonderful homebirth and went vegan two years ago. At the moment I am really struggling with my health. Please pray for us we stay vegan, but get healthier. I will be missing you when youtube gets blocked in Russia (
I love your CZcams. I wish I could go vegan but itâs so hard to stay away from the recipes and meats Iâm so use to eating. Ik the challenge it more mental but looking at your CZcams gives me more and more hope to reach that goal one day.
I love quinoa with white rice
You have a truly beautiful channel. đđ»đ
Iâm not vegan but i do try to have vegan/vegetarian days to at least lower my animal product consumption (i just really struggle with my energy big time with a completely vegan diet unfortunately) but i love watching your videos for suggestions on healthy options!
Really? My energy has improved since going vegan yeeeaaars ago! Itâs important to keep your iron and vitamin B and D levels in order though as that can leave you feel drained. We donât need a few perfect vegans, we need tons of imperfect vegans! âșïž đ± âźïž
I watch you since scout is in your belly...love your family soo much from đ±đ°
You are amazing. Love all your videos.
Thank you so much for this INCREDIBLE information Ellen! I really appreciate it. Iâm not sure if youâll respond to this or youâve spoken about this before but do you take prenatal vitamins? And if so, which ones do you take/recommend? Thanks again love đ
Hi Kiana. If you havenât heard of Ritual check them out. I did a lot of research for a vegan prenatal and that became my favorite and Iâve been taking it for a while now. There are so many options. This is just one of them.
@@stellaelise1 thank you so much! Coincidentally I started taking Ritual multivitamins about a month ago and wondered about their prenatals so this is wonderful to hear đ
Im also taking Ritual!
She made a video about it when she was pregnant with her last babes, she takes several different vitamins but the brand was garden of life
The video was a vlog when she came to California and visited her friend Alicia silverstone
Plant based vegan? As opposed to what? Or do you mean you've been vegetarian but mostly vegan?
I think she means solely unprocessed whole foods opposed to junk food vegan food.
This video is incredible. I am not pregnant but the information has been so valuable for me. Thank you for putting together such an informative video. đ it is truly appreciated also I want to mention that you continue to inspire me to thrive. Whenever I feel the low vibration around me and it becomes to much I think of you and how you take charge of your life and health and it always motivates me to be my best.
