- Hurricane Irma has destroyed buildings and caused major flooding on several French island territories in the Caribbean.
The four "most solid" buildings on Saint Martin, shared by France and the Netherlands, were destroyed, French Interior Minister Gérard Collomb said.
Power cuts there and on Saint Barthélemy disrupted communications.
The category five hurricane, the highest possible level, has sustained wind speeds reaching 295km/h (185mph).

Lol Memes you do understand that there are plenty and more stronger hurricanes in the Pacific right? if global warming is real and your temperatures go up quite a bit you'll be getting these storms as well yet like I said the ones in the Pacific are much more meaner on average. Plus you guys have earthquakes. At least Us in Florida we always have warnings most of the time several days period when the big one hits LA and it will one day it's not a matter of if it's one you better hope technology is a little bit better that at least maybe you can give you 10 or 20 minute warning but even then how do you evacuate a city with a population like LA and that amount of time? You can't hell even if you had the same warnings that the keys had 3 days 4 days I don't think you'd be able to evacuate that area in time.
