  • Lisa-Marie Allen cannot move up and stays in 7th place overall after this long program at the 1980 World Championships in Dortmund. She would not return to the World Championships after placing only 3rd the United States National Championships the following year behind Elaine Zayak and Priscilla Hill (due to the Named Skater rule for 3 entrants).

Yet another reminder of what figure skating was back in that day. Worked with Lisa in the Ice Capades. Loved her, so down to earth. Great sense of humor! When I think about that time and meeting and working with Olympic champions, never did they talk about competition. I do not recall why. Surely joining an ice show was a hugh difference in their skating career. I was never in competition - just a good ol' corp boy. Nonetheless, Lisa was beautiful and professional off and on ice and I am glad to had the opportunity to see her skate in the show every night. The audience loved her as well.!

The system on this was messed up. It says she placed 4th at the Olympics, that was Denise Beillman.
