- Debuting in February 2021, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 was recognized globally for its design and high-end tech, which included the E-GMP. With 2024 around the corner, a facelift is expected, building on its predecessor's success. A camouflaged Ioniq 5 prototype was seen in Germany in August 2023, hinting at an impending facelift. Further sightings in South Korea revealed potential design tweaks like revised bumpers, wheels, and the inclusion of a rear wiper.
New features could include updated infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a revised center console. The possibility of a Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Line variant promises enhanced styling and further personalization. Battery advancements (fourth-gen battery with a higher energy density) might push the EPA-estimated range past 325 miles. Set to potentially hit U.S. showrooms in late 2024, the new Hyundai Ioniq 5, priced around USD 43,000, could rival the Tesla Model Y in the budget EV segment.

If they would add an integrated, multi-stream (front, back and sides) dashcam, that would really make this a serious Tesla alternative. Rear wiper would also be great.
Rear windshield wiper is a welcome addition. Hopefully N Line version sits between the SEL and Limited. Would love to see more physical controls.
As the battery chemistry materials prices dropped this year about 40% ! ( lithium 80% price down ! )
I am expecting vehicle like Ioniq 5 or Tesla Model Y to be delivered with a bit bigger battery soon , 90kWh could be a game changer among competitors
So you're talking about the 2025 ioniq 5, not the 2024 model?
Hi Johnny, yes we're talking about the facelift which we're expecting in the U.S. for MY2025, next year. We've also explained the same in the 'Release Date' chapter of the video. MY2024 Ioniq 5 has already been launched in the U.S. without design changes.
@@TopElectricSUV aww shoot I was hoping for a year wiper in 2024. Canadian winters are messy I can't buy a car with no rear window wiper.
@@dg-hughesYeah I agree. I just picked up my 2024 this week in northern Ontario and no rear wiper. 😢
Given what I have seen on other bloggers output it would not be possible to consider buying the Ioniq 5 without a rear wiper in a country with a normal climate like the UK.
Hi Richard, we've based our video based on spy media from S.Korea and Europe. A parked test prototype in S.Korea revealed the presence of the rear windshield wiper (under the camo covers).
We've also learned more recently that the updated center console has buttons for the seat HVAC.
Sure, the availability of features will depend on the market, but these two additions seem straightforward and we don't at this moment see why they won't be added to all markets.
Toyota BZ4X is NOT competition and isn't in this category at all. It is a pile of shit. Just go and test drive one and you'll understand.
