Thanks for the video. I bought mine 2 weeks ago. This machine is bad ass! The price was a bit high but after using it the first time I had no buyers remorse. I’m 6’2 and walk fast. I couldn’t even use it on the fastest setting. Plus like box says, it will save you over 40 percent on time. The mulching on it is perfect. Pull the trigger and buy one.

Ryan, great videos and reviews I watch every one. I have very thick tall fescue lawn which I cut with a toro super recycler. I also had a problem with frayed tips so maybe you could look into different blades which are more aerodynamic and produce less wind under the mower. Since you don't mulch reducing the wind speed won't matter. Also, it might not be the best option but you could raise the rpm slightly which could reduce the fraying but that is up to you since it puts premature wear on the motor. Keep up the great videos.
Very good thoughts. I had pretty similar blades on my old machine and didn't seem to have as much of an issue. Maybe I wasn't paying as much attention at that point though, either. RPM is sitting right around 3500 so it should be fine there but I'll check on that.
Just picked up a really nice used one at a great price! Only used it once so far but really like it! With my old super recycler I had to overlap my previous pass a little to cut all of the grass. Do you have to do that on your timemaster? It seems like you go right over the wheel tracks. I feel like the wheel tracks wouldn’t get cut this way.

Great video. You mentioned the grass tips turning brown on occasion. I have an Scotts 2046 riding mower and the manual states that if the plane that the blade rotates is not 1/4 to 3/8 inch lower in the front than at the back, the blade may be cutting (striking) the grass blades twice resulting in tips turning brown. Never tried to test this before, but would be simple to do with a push mower having independent front/back height adjustments.
I often set the back end of the timemaster higher than the front. So I'll keep that in mind and pay close attention next summer when I typically see the most damage because of the heat.
I know this is an old vid but I was researching this mower as I’ve been interested in a possible used one as I haven’t found any in my area. Do you still use yours at all and are you still happy with it after several years? I haven’t seen you use in in recent vids
How is the mower holding up? Does it still fray the grass tips? Have you had any issues with the transmission or engine?
Ryan can one side discharge long grass,then do another pass but mulch the grass clippings?
Purchased an older timemaster today. Had to jump on it quick. After watching 8 of them for the last month deciding on which to buy, all 8 were sold around the same time last week. If you love in the midwest, dont shop the last week of february. Too much competition. I was lucky to find one more at a pawn shop.
I know this is older but here is my question...I have a large lawn with Bermuda tif419. I currently use a Toro Recycler and was considering the Timemaster but I’m big on mulching so would the Toro Super Recycler. Thanks
Love the videos! Have you considered buying a inexpensive belt sander for sharpening your blades? It's the only way I sharpen blades now and it does a great job.
That would be an option. I have used angle grinder in the past. I just like that I can be a little more particular with my file and maintain a better angle.
Does it Clump up and wet High Grass cuz I wanted to use it for Moen other people's yards and you kind of have to go mow when they call you... Do you have any idea about the clumping or is it strong enough to overcome that thanks
I PURCHASED THE EXMARK MODEL FOR HOMEOWNER USE:
I bought the 30" Exmark in the Spring of 2017. It was the most recent updated version of the 30" walk behind. I have Bermuda grass and not a huge yard to mow. I wanted a great cutting mower and one that saved a bit of time compared to a 22" homeowner mower sold everywhere in town. I had a 22" Toro self-pace prior to this purchase. No comparison.
This Exmark is the real deal. It cuts beautifully, has a strong Kawasaki engine and those older issues of transmissions and belt stretching haven't been any issues with this newest model. I was cutting my lawn at 3" height last year (2017) and it handled it like nobody's business. The only time I had clippings on the grass is when the bag was filled to the max.
Exmark has a better and larger catch bag than previous model years. I will mention that you need to open the belt/pulley door guard occasionally to clean out any clippings that have accumulated inside there. Allowing this to build up in there over time may result in belt or pulley wear faster than normal. Operator type daily/weekly maintenance should be done anyway so don't forget this location.
I have started my 2nd season with this yard beast and it's working flawlessly and is making my yard look way better than the neighbors who are using lawn care companies that use Walkers etc to mow their yard with nowhere near the finish results I'm achieving. I cross cut the lawn so it stripes it and they've told the Walker operators to cut their lawns at an angle or cross pattern and still can't compete.
I highly recommend this newer version of the Exmark 30" walk behind for your lawn mowing needs. My lawn looks like a green at the golf course and the even cut this mower provides make your lawn so smooth and even like it's a rug and not grass. Proper lawn care aids in the look as well.

Great vids. Where in the midwest are you? I'm in the Northwest Burbs of Chicago and I've been trying to get my lawn up to par, but this is my first home so I'm struggling a bit. Wondering how closely I can follow your routine.

Going to look at a timemaster at the local dealer this weekend. Really considering on getting one for next season! Haven't seen one in person. Hope it's now as heavy and harder to maneuver around unlike the regular mower.
I no issues maneuvering mine at all. Unless you're going up and down hills constantly it feels very similar to using a smaller push mower.

HI, good review on the Timemaster. I almost bought one, but I got a Cut Cadet Sc700e, 4 x4. It seems to mulch well. I wished that I could of have a 30" deck, but most of my yards have steep hills, so I needed 4 x4
Yes the Timemaster on steep hills is probably not its best feature. I have a pretty steep hill in my backyard and it does ok but if I were mowing hills all day long I wouldn't enjoy it too much.
Hows this one been? My 2014 mower just bit the dust, no compression. I've spent money on it every year to keep it running. This Mower is a dud. Now I need to get another engine for it. Going with the upgraded one on the newer models. Ryan did you notice a power difference with the newer one?

Ryan, I have this exact mower. My yard has gotten so thick that I’m having trouble mulching which I do 99% of the time. Usually only bag the 1st and last mow of the season. I also mow on the tallest setting. I’m having to mow my yard 2 and 3 times to help break up the clumps from the first pass. I’m also noticing the “ripped” tips of my grass. I thought I needed to change the blades out but upon inspection they were good to go. Thinking about ordering a pair of the gator mulching blades on the recommendation of my dealer. I’m seriously to the point if I can’t mow my grass tall and have it thick I’m going to purchase the Honda HRX217HYA. Based off what I’ve read the Honda is a beast when it comes to mulching. I’m going to miss the personal pace for sure though. What are your thoughts? Have to had ant better luck? Thanks in advance!!!
Blades have to be super sharp and one trick that seems to work for me is back of the deck one notch higher than the front. Doesn't completely remedy the grass tips but it seems to help. I don't mulch with mine. I just mow as often as I need to side discharge so I'm never putting too large of clippings on the grass. Works fantastic this way but if you're dead set on mulching, then Honda is probably the better choice.
Good Video. I am researching mowers. i will buy a Toro. Just deciding whether a Time-saver is worth the money over the Super Recycler. I also have a very thick lawn and mulching was one thing I felt this would be good for (2 dogs and do not like clippings all over hteier feet). I am reading about cable and belt concerns and now your video states it doesn't mulch very well? I am leaning back towards my Toro Stand-by....the 22" cut.
It also depends a little on your grass type. The wider bladed grasses (tall fescue, st aug) seem to do ok with this on mulching from what I've seen from others. My thin bladed kentucky bluegrass is extremely thick and that's a lot to cut through and also try to continuously cut those clippings as they swirl around in the deck a little tougher to do. The side discharge cut quality on this mower is very good and as long as you're mowing often enough, the clippings are very small and similar to mulching. Just my 2 cents.
How does it climb hills? I have short but steep hills in my yard.
I have about 6500 sq feet of lawn. Is it worth getting the time master or better to stick with 22 inch recycler?
After almost a year in, did you get to the bottom of the frayed grass tip issue?
Basically just keep the blades are sharp as possible and I think for mine cutting with the back one notch higher than the front has helped.
May purchase 30 inch next spring?

1.25" - 4.25"
I have a small hill which is quite steep, 30 degrees or so. Approx 5 feet high. With a fence at the bottom there is no choice but to cut side ways. My 22 inch super recycle r has no problem but over all the lawn takes more time to cut than is ideal. I have looked at the time master. Hard to say how it would react, dealer even had doubts. Your thoughts having real world experience?
I don't know exactly the degree of my bank but it's fairly steep in the middle part. 30 degrees is probably a little more than mine but I don't feel like I"m ever out of control with the mower. It is obviously bigger than a 21 inch so it is just harder to keep the stripes straight on that part. You could always keep both and have 2 mowers. :)
Would the TimeMaster still be a good choice for a hilly lawn? Does it leave many clumps?
Nice video Ryan. I'm in the market looking into getting something bigger now that my grass is thick and I'm having trouble mulching with my 160cc motor. I mulch 90% percent of the time, would you recommend the timemaster or the Honda 217 with its micro blade technology? I just want a strong mower and a good mulch cut quality. Thanks!
I haven't used a 217 personally. I've heard good things. I have heard the super recycler from Toro are good for mulching.
I happen to purchase this mower in the spring. Overall I agree with you on all of your points of the review. I am selling it with only 5 hours on the engine. I won a zero turn shortly after buying it, so no need for two. I can deliver within an hour of Sioux Falls, SD. $950
ryanknorr Yeah I've heard the same thing, the LCN use to use the super recycler before and it seemed to do great with his lawn. The issue with my yard is that theirs slope to it and I heard it's not that good on hills? I also know that it's a 160cc motor as well and idk if that's strong enough for my thick lawn. I would go for the timemaster without a doubt if it was good on mulching but after seeing that deck after you did I'm worried I'll have that same issue every time.
+Jesus Quiles Having used both models you're asking about, I would recommend the Honda 217 since you primarily mulch.
I mulch almost exclusively as well, and the twin blades on the 217 really pulverize the grass clippings compared to the Timemaster. Engine power is sufficient for thick grass, and it will really only bog down if you're cutting a lot of wet grass off at one time.

Nice video Ryan. I'm about ready to pull the trigger on one of these in about two weeks and just doing some more final research when I came across your review. I'm not a fan of mulching at all but I wanted to ask a question since you own one and gain your insight.
Do you think that you could side discharge and bag simultaneously??? Or would all the clippings automatically get shot out of the discharge chute? I think it would be a nice set up for me if I could get that 50/50 combo to work.
I've done it but there's not much that ends up in the bag.
Hey thanks for the quick response. Sorry about the typos in the original post. Have you ever just bagged with the mower and how does it do? I have read that some have problems when bagging such as clumping, clippings shooting out from back of mower as if the bag isn't sealed right.
One last question, you mentioned you had owned a previous older model. Between the newer and older model, which one would you prefer to own if you could have either one now?
Bagging has always worked very well for me. It will stuff the bag full. Mine has a small area at the top the sometimes light grass comes out the back side but I think I just need to bend my bag a little bit to fit the opening better. Both worked fine for me. The newer one with a little mower power is nice to have.
Hi Ryan,
Pulled the trigger on a new TM back on 6/18. It finally came in last week and I picked it up on 7/11. Have a few questions:
1) when it is shutoff, and you push on the personal pace system, does it lock up and not permit you to move it forward? Mine does.
2) My TM does a lot of clicking when pushing it forward or pulling it backwards, (when it's off) is it supposed to do that?
3) Does yours have a guard immediately behind the blades but under the deck and in front of the rear wheels? Seems like the rock guard most mowers have at the very back, just thought this seems like a weird location.
4) As luck would have it I scuffed the left side of mine on it's initial mow. Not very deep but definitely took the paint off. How would you go about touching this area up? Sorry, not by the mower or I could send over a picture. I'm thinking I caught the corner of my patio concrete slab at just the right angle with the mower since I have a slight slope to the back of patio.
Have you had any problems with you newer model timemaster? I want one but I’m reading reviews on how they are notorious for issues etc.
I've had one since 2013 and this new model on my second year of use now. So far so good. I cross my fingers since I heard the same things you were reading but personally I love the thing.

@@chrishewson40 with the deck angle it just seems to cut better and also allows an "in between" height since you only have so many options on the settings
The deck on that mower is not shaped for mulching and as you say, your grass is so thick that mulching might be a problem even with the best mulching mower on the market, but again that humidity content of the grass blades is also not helping. Try to mow after 4H00-5H00 PM but before dew starts forming in the evening that also helps
What about the transmission? I've heard so many bad reviews about it going bad alot? Any thoughts?

How much do you overlap when stripping? In other words where do you place the wheels next to or on the previous stripe?
Hard to explain but the deck is a little wider than the tires so you want to put the tires close to the exact same spot you did your last stripe and let the deck overhang just a bit to make sure everything gets cut.
thanks man. I’m finding when I overlap the tires in the same grooves it pushes the grass down and this doesn’t cut it as well. I’ll have to experiment
The cut quality and fuel economy sounds frustrating. Do you think you might try different blades, or what other ideas do you have to improve the cut?
I have a set of Toro blades and also a set of Oregon brand. Both performed pretty much the same. I'll keep thinking on what else might be going on with that. The look of the cut right after mowing is fantastic. It's just a day or say later when those grass tips dry out.
Ryan, I'm so sorry about the problems of cut quality, straddlers and brown tips on your grass blades. You have mentionned this in an earlier video and I was going to tell you how to solve it but I just forgot to leave a message.
If you are having Fraying issues, make sure the deck is completely clean underneath, cut a little slower. You can even do half width cuts, that way you insure you double cut each blade. Cutting wet grass, morning dew and dull blades are usually the cause, but cutting slower can really help. If your grass is really, really healthy it could be fighting back a little and almost becoming cut resistant.

I just got the time master. I have a .79 acre lot and mow about .40 acres. I works great and will be pleased with it. The gas tank size is annoying. I cannot mow the whole yard without refueling. I am going to see if I can retrofit the tank off of their commercial Turfmaster.
Wonder if the higher displacement lowered the rpms.... lower compression. Maybe engine mods to get those revs up. It's not a go cart but high flow intake exhaust might open it up to cut the grass cleaner? Gas efficiency would most likely decrease though. Possible trade off.

Hey Ryan. You mentioned that the TM30 is about the only choice out there that's a wide cut but with a traditional walk-behind design and not at a commercial price, but that's not true. What do you think about the trio of MTD mowers that are 28"? Craftsman, Troybilt, and Cub Cadet with their copy-cat self-pace system.
I've actually watched the reviews carefully and have actually handled one in a store; and my thoughts are that: (1) It's great that another manufacturer is entering this space to maybe push it along and perfect some of the weaknesses of the product and put price pressure for more value, as I'd love to see the wide mowers take off with many brands and styles offered; (2) it's great also that MTD provides options for customers to get this wider cut now (though 2" less than the TimeMaster) for $150-$200 less than the TM30; (3) It's possible that this deck may have a little better mulching performance with a deeper deck, but I can't really ascertain it's performance versus Toro since there are so few reviews on them and I've seen a complaint or two about clumping under the deck also with the MTD's, so I'm not sure if it's better; added to that, the new 223 cc TM30 seems to have less power complaints; (4) I like the concept of the engine oil drain plug with a tube, but find that tipping the TM30 is not really as big a deal as many make it out to be; (5) I like the concept of the single cut height adjustment lever; but that my excitement is tempered by the fact that: (6) I'm not sure about this "self-stride" system as compared to the TimeMaster Personal Pace. You actually push downward instead of forward for the self pacing system, and while users tend to like it overall, it doesn't seem nearly as good just watching people navigate in the few videos I've seen; very slow by comparison (7) It looks like from the few honest reviews I can find and watching videos that the MTDs do not have near the speed of the TM30 and that would be a real deal buster for me as sometimes I'll walk behind at full TM30 speed; (8) even though I rarely bag, but sometimes I have to in September in the thickest part of my yard, and I do also bag for fall clean up occasionally. So as a convertible bag cutting machine, I absolutely hate the bagging system of the MTD as compared to the TM30; (9) Even though no reviewer mentions it, part of what makes the TM30 such a great alternative is it's compactness as a mower despite it's very wide cut, and how the front wheels really don't stick out very far beyond the deck (some front drive 21s stick out more); I've measured 8" from the front of the deck to the front wheel tips; and so this is what makes the TM30 operate and navigate and maneuver much like any 21-22 inch mower; but that the MTD has this cockeyed deck on it where it looks as thought the left front wheel is maybe around 10" distance from the front of the deck and the right wheel is probably 13-14 inches from the front of the deck to the front wheel tip. Also, the total length from handle end to the front, due to the offset deck, must be considerably longer than the TM30, and that may be better for helping it stay planted over bumps better than TM30, and it's possible that it may help it perform as a better mulching mower; but that longer machine would be too big of a trade off for me and what the TM30 provides.
What I'd really love to see but don't expect it to occur due to what is currently popular by homeowners, is a wide cut mower that's traditional style but that's set up first as a side discharger and then mulching and/or bagging as an afterthought instead of the other way around. A good example of this is the World Lawn 32 commercial mower. It has a very large flip up chute and a very wide side opening which unleashes the power of a 10 hp B&S engine (not 10 ft-lb, but 10 hp). The MTDs and the TM30 were designed primarily with mulching in mind with their set ups with that plate down and a clip on chute, and that's ironic with respect to the TM30, because it's a poor mulching mower for many yards around the country but makes a very formidable side discharger and bagger. If instead, however, the TM30 had a larger side opening and a flip up, flip down chute like that World Lawn mower has, which allows one to flip it up for more spreading of clippings and flip down for more directional blowing; instead of a cheesy little chute that falls off whenever one rubs against the ground pulling backward, and a chute that helps promote clogging up of the side opening in thick grass; then that would be my mower. The problem with the World Lawn 32 is that it is not low profile like the TM30 and the MTD 28s; and it uses those commercial-type levers. So in essence it's not the same kind of mower that's good for regular mowing and trimming. So what I'd like to see are different options of the TM30. A version that is side discharge first and foremost mower that would turn this mower into a beast and much more usable and more powerful as a side discharger. Currently, I'm storing and hauling my chute with me as I mow clipping it to a bungie strap across the handle and also bungie strapping my mulching plate up, but when I get near fences and structures, I have to stop and mount the chute. I also have to mount the chute to blow off the driveway. But if the TM30 had a system for a chute like the commercial mowers have, going chute up, chute down would be easy. There is one video on here where a commercial mower who mows only small yards uses the TM30. He has 2 bungie cords clipped together and a drilled hole in the mulch plate. He has a system where he can simply reach and grab the bungie and clip at two different spots allowing for up and down operation. But the problem with that method is that if I try to lower my mulch plate in my back yard; it will almost immediately clump up and I can't mow. So my solution is using the supplied chute, but then that's sort of a hassle. And keep in mind, I'm already mowing my back yard every 4 days, and have to do so no matter what kind of mower I use, and still the supplied chute clogs up the side opening and I can use it only for limited distances like near fences and structures so that I don't blow dead grass all over everything.
I have a question if you had a choice between this and the super recycler what would you choose and why
Well it kind of all depends on whether or not you prefer to mulch the grass all the time or if that's not a huge deal. This version of the Timemaster is a little better mulching than the first version but I still don't think it does as well mulching as the recycler would do. The next thing would be the size of the deck. Personally once I went to the 30 inch deck it's hard to go back to a smaller size. I have a Honda as well that's the traditional smaller deck size and the time savings with the Timemaster are pretty significant. So taking all of that into account, I personally would still choose the Timemaster but hopefully those points gave you a little more info. Good luck!
yes you did thanks, i have about an acre of land minus about 2000 sqft for the house. it also has some hills not sure how steep they are but it is there. i am not sure about the mulching yet but the next question is i guess what kind of grass is at the house cause i might have thinner grass i live in CT

Time master is fitted with high lift blades for catching n side discharge, for better mulching results fitting more dedicated mulching blades and sooner cuts to mulch less grass. As for the cut miss or torn cut finish try change your forward cutting speed as in slow down or fit a quad blade system.
Thanks for the info. I tried mowing at a snails pace but didn't see much difference there either. I would consider my grass extreme thickness so that still plays a part.

Hi Ryan, how does the Timemaster handle hills? I’m getting ready to buy a new mower and torn between this and the Honda HRX217. I have 6,000 sq’ in my backyard with half of it being a hill. Thoughts?
I have a steep hill and it's doable but not always the most fun. I think mowing anything on a hill is just a pain but it has plenty of power

Hey Ryan great video as usual. Question... I live in Texas and have Bermuda grass. I've noticed I have a lot of stolons growing in the actual lawn. The house is 2 years old as well as the grass. Any reason why I have so many stolens vs grass that is growing straight out from the dirt? Thanks for any feedback. If you need more info, left me know.
suaverprc to try and help answer your question, the stolons grow horizontal instead of vertical likewise with your Bermuda. When you planted grass seed it is possible that the stolons were already present in the dirt as the come from the general weed rhizomes. Rhizomes grow completely underground so it is had to tell if it is present. Also, these rhizomes are rated as one the invasive species plant wise and could have came in from a third party location such as a neighbors yard or a large area nearby. They do sell herbicides which can reduce the amount of stolons. However, while it may not match the Bermuda as well it is not as much of an eyesore as crabgrass so maybe let the lawn thicken up and then make your decision. Good luck with your lawn.
I wish I could tell you but I really don't know much at all about Bermuda. I'm hoping someone else can chime in and give you an answer.
D Pal1 thanks for your response. This was happening before I ever planted grass seed in certain spots. This was all sod. So I'm trying to figure out why I don't have a good amount of stolons vs vertical growth. I will add that I haven't airrated or thatched.
If I was too move some of the grass around, there would be dirt exposed vs grass coming out from the ground

Hey Ryan! Great video! I have a Snapper Hi Vac from 2012. I bought it initially because my dad had one from the 80s until 2000. I loved the striping that mower was capable of so I bought one of my own. It does great striping as well! Some challenges I face with it is it leaves small discharge out the left side and it also will leave stragglers uncut and I have to go over the row again sometimes. It also has no capability to mulch which I really want to do. I just saw the timemaster in HD the other day and decided to buy it online. I have a decent size grass yard but no hills and no trees or obstacles. Do you think it was a good decision to purchase this mower? Will I notice a major upgrade? Should I keep the Snapper as a backup or sell it?? Thanks man keep it up!
I always like to have a backup just for the fact that it can come in handy from time to time. Otherwise I think you'll enjoy the timemaster.
Trying filing your blades in the other direction
I am still using the old model, the only issue I have is the V belt. It is my 4th belt.
I think I only went through 1 belt so I must have been lucky.
I know this video is old but I think the cut quality you mentioned is a result of a smaller blade length. There is less mass being spun, and a longer blade will have more area to move per RPM. This would explain the "RPM" being good, and the blade being sharp, yet the tips are turning brown.

AJ9 , I demoed the Exmark commercial 30 last week on 5 of my clients yards and I love it. I bagged all the lawns because they're not big. I did try mulching with it and it was great. Today I'll return the demo Exmark 30 and get my own a lot over my budget but worth it $2012 with tax. I did get a Toro timemaster for $750 and after one of my clients medium yard the belt broke and I returned it to Home Depot.

It performs very good I really like it one of the things I had to do was to replace the blade pulleys because they wouldn’t last one day after that it’s been good not good at mulching and do recommend cleaning deck after each cut of grass is even little wet.
My Craftsman just broke so thinking of getting a new mower. My lawn has thick areas and bumpy areas. SHould i go with Honda or Toro? I would like to be around $500 to $600 range.
Either one will be totally fine...I like the Toro self propelled system better

Try cutting on the highest setting I currently do and have no issues yes you have to cut a little more frequently but it looks really good!
Highest as in like over 4 inches?
I have mine set to A and I have no frayed tips it comes out perfect.
My grass won't stand up straight when it's that tall. I have bluegrass that's actually supposed to be mowed a little lower so 3.25 is about as tall as I go before it starts to fall over on itself

I have a cub 33 inch ...very similar to the one you are talking about I know it's not the same but I really like it mine is 2007 model and the newer ones have bigger engines but I don't seem to have and issue with the size of the engine on mine...I really like the idea of the time master but as of right now I like my 33 inch cub cadet better
I have a 2014 model that has given me a world of trouble. It worked great for two years but in 2016 everything started dying. Electric start, motor started sputtering and loss of power. Turned out head gasket blew and is common. Since getting that fixed the muffler rusted and one screw snapped.
Have you had any similar problems with your older model? Is it worth it to sell that one for this one?
That's weird. I had my older version for 4 years and didn't have many issues with it. Like anything these days it seems like the manufacturing process isn't always consistent. I can't say whether it would be worth it to sell or not because I've heard issues with the new ones as well although I have 30 hours on mine and it's going strong so far.
ryanknorr gotcha. What complaints have you heard about the 2017 model?
A lot of early reviews said motor issues. I haven't looked lately on if they made any changes.
One preventative fix is to take any new mower ect and remove all exhaust hardware and get some Never Sieze grease from NAPA and use it on any bolts and hardware you want to be able to service again!
Considering purchasing one of these. Looking on Home Depot and there are two models with a $100 price difference. Any idea what the difference between the 21199 and the 21200? Looking at all the soece i could find and saw no difference to warrant the price difference.

Absolutely. I still get great stripes at that height. If you have the right equipment baseball fields are cut at around 1 inch and they get great stripes by using rollers. But yes with this machine, taller is a little better for stripes.

Has anyone compared this to the 33’’ cub cadet?
The 45 min run time is almost a dealbreaker for a machine called “Timemaster”. My Honda HRX takes longer, but runs for 90 min.
Its almost the same thing if time master is cutting in 45min to finish your yard vs your 90min run time lol Just a thought...
Does anyone else’s Timemaster rev up and down when idling after mowing? Kind of reminds me of when an engine auto chokes at start up. Mine is brand new and I’m trying to determine if this is normal or not.
Yes mine does that sometimes...once I engage the blade it seems to smooth out with no issues.
