    Sharing my notes for people who wants the essence of talk:
    #1 Change questions to statements. Don't ask, tell
    Example:
    ❎"Would you like to go on a date with me?"
    ☑️ "I would like to take you on a date sometime"
    #2 Energy of woman is in receiving mode
    Energy of man is in giving mode
    #3 Persist even when you can't find hope in your endeavours
    #4 Sexual desire and Kindness must be balanced. Too much niceness makes you a nice guy, too much sexual desire makes you a creep. Balance them
    #5 The biggest barrier men face is the belief that "I am not good enough"
    #6 Real Men are honest
    #7 Compliment the energy and vibe
    #8 Two Qualities of Men
    1. Father figure (warrior)
    Setting boundaries with assertiveness
    Example:
    "I like you but I don't like the behaviour, don't do it again"
    2. Little lost boys (Poet)
    A need to be taken care by a woman & being vulnerable.
    9. Conclusion:
    Men who love Women are loved by women
    10. Be decisive. Masculinity= Leadership.
    Hope this helps.

    Renounce everything that keeps you small. If not now, when?
    Yes, even if you did that thing for 2 years already. Yes, even when your parents are against it. Yes, even when you are afraid.
    Because this is it. This is the one life.
    And now... who are you gonna become? What do you want? Who are you? Be authentic to that. Don't fake nonneediness/non attachement. If you see something you like, that makes you feel something. Express it - and relax - you showed up. You did your job as a man.

  • @DaveNagrom
    @DaveNagrom Před 3 lety +2

    To often, we forsake our authentic self. We subdue our passion and purpose, in favour of performance. It is a futile attempt to uphold the facade of what we THINK we ought to be, rather than the conviction to be what we ought to be. It ultimately fails, because people can sense the incongruity between who you purport to be, and who you actually are.
    A man with conviction: determination, persistence in the face of fear, the courage to acknowledge his fears, and the passion to pursue his dreams in the face of it, brings that energy with him, into a room. It is magnetic.
    It is that willingness to acknowledge fear, the adventurous aspirational child-like aspect of masculinity, that gives you that mystique.
    His awareness of others, begins with self-awareness, a sense of his own humanity, that cultivates compassion for others.
    That vulnerability IS your humanity. Embrace it.

    Spot on Zen. Particularly about the part of seeing/feeling a woman's energy vs her outer beauty - which is her parents' accomplishment not hers. Men don't like it when they get judged based on their car or bank account, naturally; that doesn't describe who they are, so why do men continue to value a woman's physical beauty so much? Then when they have enough of the eye candy they discover that her remaining attributes may not be as well developed, but by that time there's 1.5 children on the way. And you wonder why the family unit dissolves. I'm surprised men/women haven't figured this out yet: hold out to have kids until you found the right person to have them with and can't hold out anymore. No more 'oops'; guess we're stuck with each other for now - which only lasts a few years. Result: the reality of more than 50% of our current society.
    The other critical point you made: experience. Couple that with a good mentor, or decent material like your book, (planning on buying it) THAT is how you fast track life experience.
    I'll share this: I was in sales for the first 12 yrs of my career. Started a software co at 19; internet was only 2 hrs old. To get clients I started networking. Do you know what it's like to shake/quiver uncontrollably (vaguely noticeably, voice quivering, face beat red from shame and discomfort of my mere existence + the idea of asking for business) for 2 hrs prior to entering the trade show, the 8+ hrs at the trade show, and 1-2 hrs after? I do. But I wouldn't let myself leave until I earned the 'right' to leave: when I spoke with enough ppl and collected enough business cards to keep me busy for weeks (150+ cards). Took years to desensitize myself to the fear of rejection and failure. Now I can walk into a hall with hundreds of booths and thousands of ppl and engage in conversation. I enjoy it. It's fun. Had I had a mentor, I could have fast tracked. For those of us who like or are forced to learn on our own, there is a delicious self respect that accompanies us, everywhere, knowing that our own personal journey was much more challenging and and as result we developed a deeper skill. That's a source of confidence. Also, knowing that we didn't allow ourselves to give up yesterday gives us the confidence to know we won't allow ourselves to give up today. THAT'S where most of my confidence comes from. And how did I do that? I asked myself: if I give myself an excuse to give up early today, what's to stop me from using the same excuse tomorrow? Answer: today I must do a little better than yesterday. Minimum one more business card. AND. NEVER. EVER. LEAVE ON A BAD NOTE. Always leave on a positive note. If you leave on a bad note, your brain will kick you in the teeth the next time you endeavour that same task. Much harder to self start afterwards.
    Also: what I'm wearing is irrelevant. Really. There is a balance between casual and formal, which I rarely paid attention to, but here's the trick: the less impressive clothes you wear, the more it forces you to develop real, genuine skill. You work harder, but you get better, faster. Then you know that what you are, what you have inside you is real, it won't vanish when you disrobe at the end of the day. Tomorrow morning that confidence will still be with you as soon as you wake up. No one can take it from you, just like no one can give it to you.
    I vehemently disagree with bringing one's sexual energy to work. I'm there to work, not anything else. I take my work very seriously, I enjoy it immensely. When other ppl have other agendas ... There is a time and a place for things, student of life. Also, most of the time, it's NOT a good idea to date someone you work with.

    For all those men who are going out of they're way to better themselves in understanding women; rather it's by getting help from pick-up artist, reading guide books, taking classes to sway women seductively, I'll save you guys from going down the rabbit hole (which may take years for you to get out of as your mind's perspective will wrongfully be misconstrued), start by taking some time out of your busy schedule, and JUST WATCH THIS VIDEO. I kid you not, you will thank yourself for doing so. This is the type of man that all men should be taking notice of by versifying what Zan Perrion is conveying (Speaker on this video; btw he's Canadian who grew up in the wilderness; which helps to develop a higher sense of awareness for all that is around you, physically, spiritually, as well as a continuous rendering sense of intuition. I can vouch for him as I had the same upbringing, just from a later time; the deliverance of every message will enlighten you as it did for me, I can promise you that). Zan Perrion, for you, thank you for having gone through all the hardship and the good of which has made you the person you are today, and thank you for being a man who continue his journey throughout the struggles to help shed a light on this world. It is all part of a revelation that is at work. Yours Sincerely,Keelan Delaurier

    Some ppl say Zan looks like Johnny Depp. The fact is Johnny Depp ain't got nuthin on Zan. JD only got looks but he's very fragile inside, if you watch his movies and interviews closely you will notice this. Zan is one of a kind, he's the original guru in the field of seduction. His insights into the relationships between masculine and feminism dynamics is unparrelled.

    I'm halfway through, was listening to this on the way home from work. I've met Zan in a hostel by chance and I've also read his book. There are a few things I'd like to address. Firstly is he says he usually wings it. Well that much is obvious as it seems there are quite a few contradictions here. Zan talks about how only 20% of society are chest beating men or feminazis but apparently at the same time everyone is asexual, immasculated etc. Really? I think only a few % are. He romanticizes the past (Romans and Greeks) but really we have no idea what life was like for the common man back then. His advice makes me remember the lyric by Baz Luhrman - "Advice is like a form of nostalgia, be careful who you take it from and how you supply it". And to be far to Zan he admits this - this is the book he'd like to have read. We also have to remember that Zan had a completely unconventional teenage upbringing.
    I do think there is some merit to what he says, but there is also a lot of hyperbole and of course salesmanship. I've been quite lucky in my life as my parents were grateful enough to pass on good genes and I've been quite successful with women. I still had to learn but it basically came down to stop caring so much and stop putting pussy on a pedestal like it's the be all and end all. I think that's all people really need to know. Be yourself. If the female isn't responding to you then whatever, there are tons more out there. There will be one who will respond. It's a numbers game.
    I think the best thing a man can do is better himself in every way possible. Learn a new skill, language etc. It makes you more interesting. Stop being needy. I also think that Zan and a few others don't talk about pornography enough. I think it's probably had a huge effect on men and their approach to women. But it's maybe a bit before his generation.
    Anyway, that wasn't as coherent as I'd have liked it to have been but I just had to get out what I was thinking. If people want to discuss anything I''d be more than happy.

    The fear of success... oh man, this is so fucking true for me. I have been approaching girls for over one year now, and I came to realise that the fear of success is actually my biggest fear BY FAR. I can approach a girl, chat her up and crack some jokes, no problem. But as soon as I sense that the interaction starts to actually go somewhere, I invariably panic, make excuses and run away.
    Quite honestly, I am at my wit's end. It seems like I have some deep-seated issue with intimacy, and I have no idea what to do about it... I mean, Jesus, I wish that my main problems were simple approach anxiety and social awkwardness; those I could work on and deal with over time. But this? Goddamn. This seems like the proverbial Final Boss that is nigh impossible to overcome.

    • @rickyf3448
      @rickyf3448 Před 6 lety

      Well, I don't really have a problem with being looked at and looking at others; but mustering up the courage to get intimate - let alone sexual - with somebody, to talk dirty and touch them without their expressed consent while facing the prospect of possible embarrassment and all of that? No. Fucking. Way. Seriously, jumping off a cliff seems like a piece of cake compared to THAT - at least in my twisted mind. I don't get how other people do it; I get a heart attack just thinking about it.
      Yeah, at this point, it seems to me like the only thing that could ever help me to overcome this problem would be if somebody held a gun to my head and threatened to pull the trigger if I don't drop my pants and make my move... "self motivation" alone just doesn't seem to cut it for me.

    • @aaron6968
      @aaron6968 Před 6 lety +2

      Everyone has some level of intimacy issue. The only way to get better at ANYthing is with measured practice over an extended period of time. But if you want a shortcut... go to a rave.
      Or... pay a female escort to help you out with this. It's her job to be intimate so ask for advice on how women like to be treated intimately. Ask about her best experiences and what other men have done with her that she enjoyed ;))

      All modern pick up teaches men to pursue their purpose. Any man who truly grasps this concept will leave pick up (what a low reward activity in the scheme of a man's purpose) and will go his own way. Not to say he won't meet women in the course of his own adventure, but sitting in a bar on a Saturday night screams nothing louder than I have no purpose and am adding no value to this world.
