2012 US National Championships Gymnastics
Sarah Finnegan Nastia Liukin Alexandra Raisman McKayla Maroney Jordyn Wieber Elizabeth Price Kyla Ross gabrielle Douglas Rebecca Bross Sabrina Vega Alicia Sacramone Bridget Sloan - Sport
I love Jordyn Wieber's floor routine. The music, the choreography, the tumbling....so beautiful.
Thank you so much for posting these!!!
Thanks so much for loading! I am so excited to see this!!
Thank you so much for posting!
THANK YOU SO MUCH from the UK, it's almost impossible to view these championships from here, i can't thank you enough :D
Thanks so much for the upload, this is great!
Thank you so much for posting this!!! I really wanted to watch this but didn't get to catch! I am so excited to watch this!!!
thanks sooooooo much for uploading!!!!
Thanks a ton for this upload!
It's a shame no one took a few minutes to scrub through the video to remove the long stretches of "commercial break" where nothing happens (NBC should do that). Otherwise I'm grateful for this channel in giving us the chance to watch these meets.
i love you for uploading this!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS.
thank you for uploading this so quickly!
THANK YOU! I love seeing all the extra stuff between each routine!
I want to thank the uploader for upping the entire broadcast. I don't get Universal Sports channel. Thank you very much.
you're amazing. THANK YOU!
Thanks for uploading! You rock :)
thanks of uploading this; didn't get to watch it last night
Great Video, thank you for uploading, I enjoyed it a lot!
thank you so much for this please please post day 2
thanks for uploading!!!:):)
Thank you soooo much for posting this!! I don't get universal sports and I don't like watching the clips online because you miss soo much of what is going on. Can't wait to see day 2!
I just finished the 2012 Subdivisions with Shannon Miller Commentating, and I realized how much more positive she use than NBC.
Thank you very much for never failing to upload all these gymnastics events. Here in the UK it's such a struggle to see the American and international events, so I really appreciate your consistency!
Thank you so much for uploading these! I was out of town for the weekend and didn't get to watch and was so bummed out.
Thank you SO much for this!! Please post Day 2 if you get a chance :) XOXO!
OMG YOU'RE SO FAST! Thank you!!!
IKR! When I first saw her do her routine to the new music it blew me away.....if there weren't so many awesome gymnasts to choose from Alicia would definetly be on the team
Thanks so much!!!!!
Awesome ! Thanks for uploading ! :D
Thank you so much from Europe!
Anyone else watching these in quarantine,, no just me ok then 😭😂
Thank you. I watched the live webcast and the stupid page had all the twitter responses connected so my webcast kept stopping and going for a sec, as people poured in their tweets, thanks for this!
I think Gabby is great on uneven bars she's really talented and I hope she continues to do good and makes it to London and win some medals =)
Thank You so much for uploading this!! Can you please please upload day 2!
Thank you!!!!!! So fast :d
totally agree! I think that's the team that people are most commonly piecing together. I wish that it was still 7 people on a team... I'd definitely want to add Finnegan and Vega! They are so lovely to watch.
YES! I love you! I knew you wouldn't let us down!
Thank you :)
Oh thank you so much for letting me know! :)
nastia was soo goood but i dont think shes as good as she was before but she wil forever be a legend in the gymnastic world same with shawn johnson love them both
oh my god, thank youuuuu!:D:D:D:D:D:D
Yes, that was the gold she won. emilysk8xx was correcting the misinformation in the broadcast that said Nastia won 1 gold, 3 bonzes, and 1 silver. She actually won, as emilysk8xx correctly stated, 1 gold, 3 silvers, and 1 bronze. She didn't say anything to negate that Nastia is the Olympic AA champ.
Thank you. Again. And I guess it isn't the last time.
Did anyone notice that the floor routine that Aly Raisman preformed here was the same one that made it so she captured the gold medal in the floor finals at the 2012 Olympic Games? Aly is such a huge inspiration to me and my friend
honestly, i fell in love with sarah finnegan....SHE'S GREAT!!!now that shawn is gone i wish her to be part of the olympic team!!!
McKayla Maroney's leotard is so pretty! And Jane Smith, I think if Price was on the team, the USA would have gone back with a silver.
I don't think so considering that Russia had a horrid last rotation on floor.
Oh Yeah, both with Grishina and Afaneyseva, who are usually so great on the event, having an off day, I now agree
I find Aly's (Alexandra), Jordyn's, Nastia's, Rebecca's, Klya's, Alicia's, and Bridget's leotards being so pretty or beautiful with their hair styles and makeup.
ALICIA SACRAMONE IS A FIGHTER !!! I'm definitely rooting for her! she has come a long way!
I really just flailed the hardest I've ever flailed when I saw Bridget hit bars. Goddamn, I love her so much.
Thanx for uploading!!! I live in Europe, so his isn't broadcast in my country.
Yeah, I remember watching this live yesterday and being so nervous! :D
I love gymnastics
Raisman's most valuable asset is her mental toughness and consistency under pressure (especially on her 3 best events). Ross, Finnegan and others do have better form, but they are first year seniors and very limited in international experience. The only other gymnast that comes close to her experience and calmness is Jordyn Weiber. Several You're right, though, she does struggle quite a bit on bars, and with form on her leaps. Every gymnast has their trade-offs.
Idk why everybody hates on the announcers...I'm fairly new to watching gymnastics, but I tried watching BBC and it wasn't the same. They may seem negative at times but its just because they follow the gymnasts around everywhere and they are not afraid to tell it like it is
The way that she drives to get to her goal, not to mention McKayla Maroney. She was awesome as well
Gabby Douglas is my new favourite, hopefully her efforts will pay off at the Olympics.
yep :) she's just so pretty
Alicia Sacramone was amazing. She came back from an injury just like Rebecca Bross. But she was amazing! Three twists, especially since that injury was a vault-preventer. Sacramone wanted redemption. Thats what drove her. I was so disappointed that she didnt make the team :(
and I wish I could see her do her floor routine one last time. I LOVE her floor music!!!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!!!! I have the "Hearts of Courage" on my ipod, but not the first part- can't remember what it was. I think it's a powerful floor routine.
team predictions were so spot on.........
thanks
No, this is Visa Championships- US Nationals as was. It says so in the title. Olympic Trials are not online due to copyright etc. and NBC taking down the footage from anyone who tries to get it on youtube.
Yes it is. She is on the selection committee
Mckayla maroney!!! you are the best!!!!!! i love youuuuuuuuuuuu from Philippines!!!
Love the videos, but since I missed it I hope you'll put up the full day 2 video? :)
Yes! My friends and I call it pigeon feet and if you watch her routine while another routine is going on you can tell it's Rebecca just because of her toe point! But I still love her gymnastics :)
Improvements needed to be done for day 2 of these championships:
-Jordyn needs to fix the landing on her vault and connect her skills on beam fast and clean.
-Nastia has to deal with her endurance and focus on the uneven bars.
-Gabby needs to not doubt herself on beam.
-Aly has to hit her handstands and not have leg seperations on bars.
-Kyla needs to not go out of bounds on floor.
-Rebecca needs to once and for all get a new dismount on beam.
:D
love Jordyn's FX music-- a perfect fit for her
If you're in the UK like me, then you're pretty much screwed unless you can stay up all night. They start at 2am for us here in the UK. It's being broadcasted 9-11pm ET if I remember correctly. I follow someone on Twitter who tweeted saying that it was trials time and that was at 2am UK time and finals are also being aired at the same time as day 1 trials. The only thing I can do is wait for someone to upload them here on CZcams...
Yeah, it scares me a little too. gabby, the flying squirrel, is amazing on bars...we need more bars workers. Jordyn's bar routines on both nights were really good. It was her vault on the first night that was scary. The 5 person team rule makes selecting the right team much harder too.
Ive noticed that too but I think its pure concentration rebecca and nastia has crazy mental focus so doing anything outside of that like chatting with friends would break that concentration and affect their competition some gymnasts just have different ways about being in competition most are very serious though.
Those bars sound so beautifully tight. I feel like I can feel how well my routine would go on them.
Aww Chow was so sweet to high five Nastia after her beam
I agree with you. With Douglas, Weiber, Raisman and Ross you do not have any holes. It might be better to have another strong AAer who could fill in anywhere in case of emergency.
Finals
Vault: Douglas/Price, Raisman, Weiber
Bars: Weiber, Ross, Douglas
Beam: Douglas/Ross, Weiber, Raisman
Floor: Douglas, Weiber, Weiber
OMG I didn't see the Euros!! I'm so happy! I cannot help but love the Romanians.
There I think that finally worked. That address should get you to usa gymnastics' channel. What you are looking for was posted about 6 days ago so you will have to scroll down a ways. Thanks for your patience!
Yeah, Aly's scores are pretty much the same internationally and nationally. Gabby Douglas, however scored over 60 both days at visas (60.650 and 61.050). Yet at international competitions the highest she has ever scored is 57.6. 3 points in gymnastics is a pretty big difference
Their olympic team is the one I would pick too. I mean I'd love to see Liukin on there or even Bross but honestly those 5 are the best mix of most potential to excel in all areas. They can all compete all four events if needed I really think barring someone else showing up in a major way those will be the team
no. the team has been named: Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, McKayla Maroney, Jordyn Wieber and Kyla Ross
Its a good team.
Thanks for uploading day 2!! But for some reason its blocked!! I wonder why they blocked day 2, but not day 1 or any of the other videos you have up!! Damn that sucks please somebody post day 2!!
My picks: Wieber, Raisman, Douglas, Maroney, Ross
Floor: Wieber, Raisman, Maroney (but it could be any of them)
Bars: Douglas, Ross, Wieber
Beam: Wieber, Raisman, Douglas/Maroney
Vault: Maroney, Wieber, Douglas
well they are the team!
tim looks so proud of himself after he predicts the team
Kyla was amazing on bars! Go Ky! Whooo! Kyla is awesome, she is a true Olympian! USA all the way!
Yes! pleeeeeease...
i agree with you. i actually like NBC better than anything else cause when i was dumb and new to gymnastics NBC helped teach me what is a deduction what i bad and what isnt rather than BBC telling me that the gymnast is smiling though the routine.
thank you, plz can you post DAY TWO
After this competition I'm thinking the best picks for the U.S. would be Douglas, Wieber, Ross, Raisman, and Price. Let Douglas, Wieber, and Raisman compete for the all-around, Ross for bars and beam, and Price for vault and floor (even though in the team comp you'd probably just use her for vault). But who knows! Olympic Trials still to come...
Funny how Elfie and Tim were right on the money about who went to London.
I agree! I think what they are meaning though is that Price is more of an all arounder than Maroney which might be better for the team. Like all the others can do an Amanar so she is only separate in her execution and not the difficulty and not completely unique, so they might want gymnasts stronger on the 'weaker' events for them since vaulting is already so strong. I think regardless of this though, Maroney completely deserves the chance to compete for a vaulting gold!
Apologies, I was away. I won't link it directly just in case. If you go onto Spanny Tampson's twitter, she tweeted the link to Full Twist on Friday. It's also in intlgymnast forum under 'watching in UK'. You need to just click stream two after the stream loads and get rid of the ads. It's safe!
Hey ! Thank you for that video ! :D Will you upload day 2 or not ? ( Can you do it please ! :D )
Thanks again !
Yes she's the athlete representative on the Olympic Selection Committee
wow, gabby douglas was amazing on uneven bars! Great job!
That made me smile after Bridget's bar set
Watching post-London LOL funny how spot-on they were on building the Olympic team.
You've got Douglas and Wieber is improving a lot. I know Ross is much better than Finnegan in bars, but I love Sarah's BB. Ross seems to have something on her neck on floor too =P
I just can't believe it... 29:11, Chellsie Memmel timing the balance beam warm-up... she should be competing!!!
Amen to that!!!!
Yeah, that's what's really holding her back. She has so much potential, so it's frusterating to see her make mistakes. If she hit all her routines like she does in training, she could definitely put a lot of pressure on Weiber. Weiber is very calm under pressure.
