#CK2 #CrusaderKings2 - Hry
Hey everyone, thanks for watching! If you want some tips on how to improve in CK2 rather than a flat out Tutorial, check this video out!: czcams.com/video/BRqWXfhSr-M/video.html&t
*noice*
We want next tutorial :(
Can you do one like this for EU4?
@@loctavius I'd love to! I just want to get better at EU4 first. CK2 and HoI4 are my jam. I'm decent at EU4, but not good enough for my own standards. I want to really know my shit before I make a tutorial on it.
@@MahDryBread Where's the video on combat?
"you already read the title so let's not waste any time" words I wish every youtuber would say
For real. I instantly hit like on the vid when I heard that. Most tutorial vids on youtube are so cancerous these days
yeah ;D
Hey guys this is douchehead the third coming back at you with another video this time how to play... nope my ears are already bleeding first video I've watched from this guy and I like him
Yeh that is pretty awesome of him, I’ve habitually skipped the first minute(s) of other CZcamsr videos for years
Yes, love this. Was amazing, learned a lot, straight to why I clicked - perfection!
THANK YOU for skipping 3 minutes of prologue and jumping straight in!
"hey guys, what's going on, just before I start this top 10 video...."
@@Yabba0408 Hey guys ! what's up today i'm gonna ... proced to tell the history of the game
i legit skipped the first 5 min. Only to have to skip back to see where he actually started the video
The virgin 2 min long introduction talk vs The Chad " You already read the title" intro
I played a few Sid Meir's Civilization so I thought I'd give this a try.
Literally 2 minutes into the game
*WHERE AM I. WHERE IS EVERYONE. WHO ARE YOU.*
I played chess then EU4 *oh... God somebody help me im going to be lost forever...*
I can relate...
The games tutorial is woeful!
captain loophole I have about 1000 hours in Hoi4, I thought I could learn CK2 because I thought it was similar to Hoi4, my god I was wrong
@@patrickjin6610 Same boat as you...I recommend if you come from Civ or Hoi that the next game you jump into is Stellaris because they are pretty close. EU4 and Vicki are a pain in the ass to learn and CK2 is easier and is a good transition game but it still has quite a curve to it (especially between vanilla and DLCs)
3 hours in - Why would anyone play this?
15 hours in - I won the war, but marched my army through a plague province and died.
30 hours in - Wait, i can dismiss my armies?
50hours in - I'm married to my mothers daughter who is also my aunt.
250 hours in - Non Nobis Domine, all infidels must burn.
1000 hours in - *Chaos is a ladder.*
This makes me smile. Sooo my experience
Try marching a catholic army into a norse pagan county in the mountains during a harsh winter.
still no answer

who's here to see the gameplay after they claimed it for free on steam?
one year later. still dont understand shit of this game xD
I just did. Lol

Sorry man but I can't consider CK2 as a difficulty since it has a lot of elements and u need to know your cards and make plans before u do things
Dark souls: Roll around avoid attacks.
Crusader Kings 2: Imprison and execute your wife/cousin because she became too old. Marry a new wife/cousin, however she is 16 so she can make a lot more children for you, who you then can use to marry off for political gain. Now all that is left is to assassinate possible Rivals, Revolts and maybe some of your kids if they aren't good enough and want land that they don't deserve.
I am currently 8 seconds into the video and I want to thank you for not putting a needless 30 second to 2 minute intro into this video. It’s a breath of fresh air on CZcams these days!

CONTRACT LEPROSY

The least you could do is mix it up a bit, say...contract syphilis, or break out in buboes. You know all the really fun stuff!
Then repeat
"You read the title, so let's just jump in". Sir, can you please be the one that makes every video on the internet? Thank god for efficiency.
Best tutorial I've seen yet. You've hit most of the points that will allow you to jump in and play without wasting an extra 20 min repeating yourself, jabbering about DLC and what makes the game special, or explaining things that are self evident from a little play.
Concise and to the point, I love it.
The best tip of all is to not care about winning or losing. Just play the game, try out different actions, don't be invested in the outcome. Don't worry about strategy or anything. The real joy of Crusader kings is the stories you create. I once had many children. I'd often hear the pitter patter of little feet running around late at night, waking up to discover another of my children dead. Then it turned out one of my sons was, let's say, elimating the competition. He was gifted, so I was conflicted. I didn't punish him, as there was no hard proof. He grew up to be a genius and probably the best, most gifted and talented person in my dynasty.
been playing this for 5 years, no idea what im doing.
people are complaining about how this game is too complex for them and assume a tutorial will make them masters at the game. in order to benefit from tutorials, you must take everything from this video and apply it to your gameplay UNTIL you understand it.
@Dutch Mapping that why Ireland is called nooby island
@Dutch Mapping Same! I didn't even do the game's toturial and just kept on pushing foward until I understood the game. Aaaand now i have 4000+ hours in the game.
@@ThatBlueHawkEye I started the games tutorial, then noped out because of just WALLS of text, started playing the game reading some gametips and working along the notifications for starters and I´m currently just doing exactly what is recommended. Play around on Ireland :D
Works fine so far. I mean, 2 of my characters got murdered but I always had heirs so who cares xD
Which is a hallmark of a shitty tutorial. If it fails to teach the game to a point where the player understands it, its a bad tutorial.
Ravielsk You might want to learn what a fucking tutorial is lmao. Expecting it to be what it’s not, and was never intended to be is stupid and the fault of the user. This game is too deep to teach in 30 minutes. There are too many features, options, and situations. This is meant to expedite the learning process, that will simply require playing or watching many hours of gameplay. If this tutorial didn’t give you the tools to open your first game with a mild understanding of the point of the game and some of the tools at your disposal maybe you aren’t as capable a human being as you had imagined. Expecting it to make you a master after 30 minutes simply implies you are ignorant to the games depth or simply an imbecile...
Installed the game, turned it on, clicked yes to the learning scenario, a box popped up saying close this box and unpause the game... and from that moment on I had absolutely zero clue what to do.
One of the most inaccessible games I've ever seen!!!
Yeah I remember when I first played CK2 i tried the tutorial, and it was absolute shit. I honestly can't remember how I learned how to play it, but I'd say out of all the Paradox games I have, I suck at this one the most, but it can be the most fun sometimes.
Well ot wants to be as realistic as possible. If you want your kingdom to prosper, you'll have to learn how. The magic of it is that when you'll learn it, there still be something you don't know of. Dark souls is the same thing, it teaches you basic movement and gives you a big "fuck you, learn the hard way" tutorial boss. But still, out of all Paradox games, CK2 is the hardest to learn.
@@talkinhead9649 you actually agreed with him that it's inaccessible and then told him to shut up?
TalkinHead9 no. It’s a great game, yes, but part of being a good game is making it enjoyable. There are plenty of games that have a lot of depth and take ages to get your head around everything whilst giving you a good UI and guiding you through the basics you need to get started. If I hadn’t been playing with friends my first time I wouldn’t have given this game a chance because of how bad the UI is.
@@talkinhead9649 I've played games of every kind since the mid 80s. I've played games that relied on having an instruction manual just to basically start. I'm not a "casual" by any means - that's not the position I'm coming from here.
I'm not criticising the quality of CK2 at all other than it being horrendous for a new player to delve into. And that is a valid criticism of it. There's a reason this video exists as an example - the game quite literally NEEDS a better explanation of what the actual hell you do in it. It's similar in a way to Rimworld or Dwarf Fortress - some of the best games I've played full stop - but it even makes those games look like childs' play in comparison in terms of accessibility.
Thank you!
Now I can start playing this game.
I was a bit "scared" to start.
I want u to comment on your comment
@@napolien1310 and on yours sir! One year later.
How’d it go?
How'd it go?
How'd it go?
I’ve 1300 hours into this game... why do I watch this?
Christian Andersen same lol
You were probably wondering how on earth it's possible to do this "tutorial" in half an hour... It took me a lot of youtube tutorials and about 80 hrs of gametime to wrap my head around this game, and I still have moments where I wonder if I didn't miss some basic and important things. Ck2. It's something different allright... (b.t.w. : Love all paradox games. Have EU4 and HOI4 as well, and also spent quite a lot of time on those)
Merlijn U I don't think I even watched any tutorials when I first started ck2..took me about 10 hours of gameplay to understand all the features and mechanics.. I learnt the basic mechanics in 3 hours, and the rest as I went down the line..this was just the base game though -- I learnt the dlc mechanics about 2 hours (on average) after getting each and everyone of them.
Edit: now that I think back on it; the base game is 90% different compared to having all the Dlc enabled. At the time, I was astonished by how different it was when I got some dlc..lol
It's got a lot of depth (just like the other paradox strategy games). There's just too much in this game to totally wrap your head around in 10 hrs. I can still find buttons every now and then, containing info that I didn't know was readily available, even after about 400 hrs into the game, lol.
After playing vanilla for all that it's worth the dlc's are a walk in the park.
I mostly just learned from watching play throughs and the first 50 hours of gameplay and I still learn something new every time I play, like the fact that if theres a spymaster that won’t join a plot, try to invite him to your court and see if you can bribe the new one.
I got the game as a present when it first came out. I just kept playing as Harold Godwin and then restarting every time I was beaten. It took me about 40 goes but eventually I won the war against William the Bastard and Harald Hardrada and by that time I could play the game.
"Yes, indeed, I do have a PhD in Crusader Kings. How did you know?"
That intro had me shocked, went straight for the like button!
I GAWKED when I saw this pop up in my feed, I saw your CK2 series and was hoping you would do tutorial CK2 so bad. You helped me tremendously with The Guild 2. Thanks man.
I'm happy to help, enjoy the game!
"High middle ages" perfect -- *takes another hit* -- good stuff.
Really late but in vanilla the reason the society button is there is so you can secretly join other religions and try to convert other people, secretly, to that religion.
You forgot about satanism
@@cyberavenger8668 You need the DLC to do that. I was talking strictly vanilla
@The Wandering Knight The satanist society is not vanilla
The greatest intro I've ever heard to a tutorial. After 8 seconds I paused the video and subscribed. Bless you
I remember seeing someone who was too used to playing something like EU4 and they never dismissed their raised armies.
sik3xploit I thought eu4 was like ck2 and deleted my armies when I first started
Omg you just went right into the video with out endless blathering and intro humor, thank you!!! Every CZcamsr should be like you
Excellent primer. Quick, sharp, concise and just enough important info to get started.
Really helpful. Thanks bud.
dude, that is the BEST tutorial intro ive EVER seen, right to the point subscribed
50 seconds in: "It's probably a bit overwhelming."
This is the greatest tutorial of anything ive ever seen in my life. direct and to the point. good stuff
12 minutes in: I get everything.. End of video: I dont get this
i don't actually ''like'' videos but that intro ''you already read the title'' gave me strenght to press that ''like'' button
I just love the beginning. I wish all youtubers would make it so quick!
Thank you for explaining the basics and some fundamental's of the game, this made it A LOT easier to grasp....at least the concept of starting out! :)
You sir, are a godsend. Not only for that bit at the begining when you went right to the point, but for doing this video. I just started the game and I crashed against it's tutorial, not as bad as others on the comment box, as I did understand a lot of how it works, but if I keep doing click here and there to read all the details I wouldn't start actually playing for more than an hour, but this helped me a lot to start sooner.
This is by far the best video guide of a game I have ever seen, thank you for this!
Thanks for being the friend that gives you the basic game chat. Like your style, (First video seen) particularly the succinct intro!
This video is the only reason I was able to get into CK, thank you for making this tutorial
Thanks so much! The learning scenario was very overwhelming so this helps a lot!
thanks for this video, i have never played a paradox game before so when i started CK2 today, thre tutorial just had me even more confused xD
Its nice to have a voice telling me whats what!
thanks for this timeless tutorial. been watching since the guild 2.
THANK YOU! Exactly what I was looking for
I loved where this was heading after the first 8 seconds!
This is utterly amazing! Thank you! This game is pretty irritating/overwhelming to start. You made it very manageable.
This is the best guide with a lot of great information. Thank you!
I stopped playing a while ago because I just couldn’t understand what was going on half the time but I started playing again last night and had a blast.
I'm happy to hear you had a good time!
Every tutorial video should be like this. Thanks for your hard work!
Appreciate the video. Just got into the game and your advice has been invaluable. Holy smokes what a deep, complex game this is.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR JUST (as Philip De Franco says) JUMPING RIGHT INTO IT
PERFECT! Thanks for this video.
Should have found anything like this ... well, like a year ago when you posted it!
Thanks so much for a comprehensive tutorial! Also thanks for cutting your screen to the only part that matters, this way everything's bigger and more aparent
Happy to help!
That was the best introduction I have ever seen
Thank you so much for explaining everything important to start my own game ❤
You earned a new sub! Thanks for the tutorial.
My man, a 5 second intro? Amazing work! Great video.
There's so many buttons. I was getting overwhelmed by them. Thanks for the tutorial!
This helped me out a lot thanks for making this video
I started a game based on who you recommended, everything went well almost conquered Ireland, I lost due to my wife commiting adultery and had to be divorced, a plot somehow killed me and my heir died due to someone in england attacking me when I was unable to muster any form of military
Did you at least punish her?
Very nice vid. Keep up the good work
Best freaking tutorial ever! Thanks!
Thank you for this I can finally start playing the game
This actually helped a lot!
Thanks. Really helpful
boom, loved that start
Seeing as your intro took all of 2 seconds I subbed
Very very helpful. Thanks so much!
Thank you for making this! Please make one with all the DLC.
thank you for not wasting my time, I appreciate it
I decided to quit because I couldn't figure things out. After watching this, I'm jumping straight into hell again. Wish me luck.
This helped so much thank you
The memes got me into the game but after 2 hours I was clueless. This video is a huge help!
I've been playing this for about a week thanks to you, it's pretty fun. My only problem is with the claims... The only way I get them besides Holy War/Crusade is Fabricating! I've heard you can get them through marriage, but I don't really understand how.. Could you make a guide on this?
Thanks for all the good content. :)
I think I'm going to have to make a whole guide video on it some time since the claim system is a bit complicated. I'm happy to help!
thanks for doing this. part of the problem with tuts and forum advice is the game has changed so much a lot of the old info isn't as useful and the UI looks different.
I love the intro, which more youtubers would utilise it
thank for the video, I've just started playing it, didn't what was happening or what I was supposed to do. Not a user friendly game at all.
Just found this game and thought it would be fun to play. I am from Munster in Ireland and where I planned on starting. Good to know its a good start in point
Best teaching video. Thank you.
OH SHIT, IT'S MAH-DRY-BREAD! Seriously, I got in this video 100% without knowing it was you.
This dude is a jack-of-all-trades, master of all! Not only he made me get into Hitman and Pokémon but now he's going to help me get into CK?!
New sub here. This breakdown is awesome!
I didn't need tutorial but i stil watched it :D i subscribed aswell
Best intro ever. You are the best.
I just want you to know this video will genuinely be helping people to the end of time😂
Thank you man!
Right to the point, my man.
Of Paradox’s games, I’ve only played CK1, CK2, EU III and HOI III, but I’ve found CK2 to be the easiest and most playable of the bunch. I don’t know why specifically, but I suspect that it is because CK2 actually has very little micromanaging to do. Control your vassals, get good traits for your heirs, and make marriages that give you good alliances and claims and that’s about all you have to do besides the occasional war.
imperator rome music put softly on top of ck2's music sounds great
I just wanna play this game as an "out of comfort zone" challenge. Installed it and after saying "WOW" because of the soundtrack and graphics, got stuck and didn't know what to do else than zooming and scrolling :-) Gonna watch your video and give this game a try!
Amazingly best guide in YT !
I've had this game since like 2013, and I have never noticed you can tell how much you're being paid in taxes by your vassals in that tab. Wtf is wrong with me lmao
That is interesting and quite a lot of management if I want to try it all.
Fantastic video, thank you
thank you so much dude
I LOVE the intro
Just.. thank you.
I'm still lost, but I did learn some stuff to remember anyway! Gonna dive in!
Dude youre the greatest of all time
