The thought of the parents and brother of my ex, who are all in Russia, being harmed by the actions of the United Kingdom government is repugnant.

Дмитрий! Я полностью согласен со святым отцом.... Конечно это тема очень интересная, навязывая ЛГБТ и трансгенные права ведёт к деградации общества, нации, культуры, семейных ценностей.... Тем самым толкая людей на миграцию из своих стран в Россию... Спасая своих детей, внуков, правнуков...... Люди на западе сошли с сума пропагандой сумасшествия причём коллективного....... Всё больше люди интересуются миграцией к нам, спрашивают что как, почему, можно найти работу, в сфере своей деятельности, специальности, как купить жильё, дом, найти своё место под солнцем.... И не будет ли притеснений от местного населения .... Я всегда говорю народ тут не при чем это политика государства , народ некто не спрашивает что и как, люди не причём, конечно есть чудики но не без этого..... А основном люди помогут, подскажут как и что.... Что нужно делать, а с языком вспомните буров- африкаанс что гостили у Вас и Вы ездили в ивановскую область... Дети выучили русский по мультикам Маша и медведь.... даже для взрослого это то лети могут помочь в этом изучая язык..... С праздником Вербным воскресеньем, со Святой Пасхой Христовой...... Россия становится домом, Новым Ковчегом для белого человека.....

Еще хотелось бы сказать про аборты. Несмотря на то, что это ужасно, при запрете абортов, они все равно будут делаться, может быть и в меньших количествах, но зато женщин при таких операциях умирать будет больше. Нужно занимать просвещением, переубеждением, помогать, а не запрещать. Еще меня всегда удивляет, почему священники в проповедях часто обличают и ругают женщин за совершение абортов, но никогда не ругают мужчин, хотя они часто заставляют своих жен делать аборты, бросают их с детьми, не платят алименты. И вообще замечаю, что у священников часто женщины во всем виноваты. Хотя посмотрите, кто ходит в церковь?

In USSR abortions were legalized in 1920, then prohibited in 1936, then legalized again in 1955. The reason for legalizing was that the prohibition did not do any good to recover population after WWII but instead caused criminal abortions to sky rocket with lots of lethal consequences. So if abortions will be illegal again the consequences will be the same. Hopefully Russian authorities understand it despite of all conservative pressure. Planned parenthood, contraceptives and child support are the solutions, not the prohibitions. "Lies of Darwinism" - interesting. I saw this guy before and had more positive impression of him. Now I am not even sure if we need this kind of guys in Russia.

You are not really serious about your Orthodoxy, right? The evolutionary theory and the historicity of the Bible are not compatible concepts, that's some basic stuff. If you are not even Orthodox, maybe you shouldn't voice your opinion in such generalized manner. Russia absolutely needs good and honest Orthodox clergy and decent people just in general. If his position on abortion and Darwinism is somehow a dealbreaker for you, you should probably do some self-reflection on what's going on in the world and what Russia stands for in the current zeitgeist and your place in it.

Russia is a leader, but not the kind of leader that its propaganda wants us to believe: Russia has the highest abortion rate in the world, the highest divorce rate, the highest rate of male alcoholism, #3 in the world for suicide, double the rate of the murder of women than the US, husbands are allowed by law to beat their wives, the Eastern Rite Putinist church is against domestic violence laws, less than 1.4% of Russians attend the church services at least once a week.
How much religious freedom is there in Russia? I'm a Christian, but neither Catholic nor orthodox Protestant. I'm a strict Unitarian in the tradition of Joseph Priestley and some of the English dissenting ministers of the 18th & early 19th centuries.
How nice for you. Orthodox Christians are Christians in the tradition of Jesus Christ and His disciples from the 1st to 4th centuries.
