- Not really a Glock guy, but I absolutely adore my Gen 2 19. That being said it's probably my least favorite suppressor host. sound is decent but you will get gas and carbon peppering you for days. 6/10
Probably the the only silencer that comes close to be as quiet as silencers are shown to be in movies lol.
Nah man you can get quieter than that but it's not a silencer it's a suppressor since it never really silences anything.
i recently saw a video of the most suppressed gun ever, and they locked the slide, put an even bigger suppressor on it, and you gonna change the suppressor every like 30 shots

Crazy how most of the sound even in an indoor range is coming from the slide cycling. That is one of the quietest suppressors I’ve ever heard.
Modern cameras and camera phones are really good at limiting the audio to sound consistent. I’m sure this suppressor is very efficient but if there was a microphone in their going to a pro recorder (or you were just there without muffs on) I’m sure it’d still be a gunshot in a small room type sound.
kind og what @snapascrew said. If you listen to the first gunshot the audio is probably a bit closer to how loud it actually is. Whatever recorded this automatically adjusted the levels
The audio is softened by the camera/phone, you can hear what it really sounds like a bit after the first shot

It's not that quiet in person. Unless he's running subs. Good suppressor but 9mm is hard to make that quiet. 45, 32 and 22 are the more whisper quiet options.

You can get a locking slide switch on glock and it will make suppressing it very fun even if it won't cycle. Compensating a glock also messes up cycling in many cases. Gas is just gonna be there though.

It is extremely good, yeah you can hear it, but the best or rather scariest thing about it, is that despite hearing this sound literally no one will know it is sound of a gun and will not be wary at all

suppressors aren't usually meant for suppressing the gun noise, even though it does, its more meant for hiding the flash because people wouldn't know where the bullet came from.

The main point of a suppressor or a silencer as the US army defines it is to reduce the recoil and to make the sound of the shot more open, making it harder to pin point where an enemy is shooting from in combat as it comes from every direction. The silencer was never necessarily invented to make the gun impossible to be heard, but it does indeed help with reducing sound as well as hiding your muzzle flash as well.
What you are thinking of here is a "flash hider" or "flash suppressor" which has the intent to make it practically impossible to pinpoint the location of a marksman by the muzzle flash at the barrel of the gun when shooting. A silencer from my point of view is more of an advanced version of the flash hider, though bulkier and heavier which could still lead to a person wanting to carry around a flash hider rather than a silencer.

For all those thinking it's extraordinarilly quiet; yes, it's quite quiet.
But for a real point of reference, listen to the background noise. You can hear the subtle "wind" in the back go very quiet with the first shot. It's hard to gauge how loud this *really* is.

Most microphones make wind sound much louder than it is, which makes it even harder.
i've heard one of these on a range before, obsidian 45s are extremely quiet. about as loud as a pellet gun from a distance, still loud enough to piss off your neighbours xD

After years of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark making me think silencers were quieter than they really were, along comes this setup and it's actually not that far off
It's actually not this quiet... Microphones now days on phones and what not makes loud noises quieter and softer noises louder. It sounds closer to supersonic 22LR round.
Think about how quiet the background unsuppressed shot was as compared to real life and that'll give you some perspective.

@@IronMan3582 If you've ever wanted to get into them, find a good gun shop or instructor that'll teach you all of the ins and outs of safe gun handling and they can be quite fun to blast at targets and it's an enjoyable hobby and skill to utilize. Just wear good or double hearing protection and safety glasses and you'll be safe.
You could start out slow with a .22 long rifle and move up to more powerful calibers later. Some people say you don't even need hearing protection for .22 but I still use it.
My favorite things to do is put Alka Seltzers into a gallon jug of water with a few drops of food coloring and then put the cap on. Let some pressure build up and shoot them from say 20 feet out and film the water jug exploding in a colorful display. The more powerful the caliber the bigger the explosion. lol

That's because the first round, being on top of the other bullets, can get more air in it's lungs so it can yell louder as it leaves the pistol. ;)

Yup, it's called first round pop, and is essentially caused by the oxygen in the suppressor being rapidly burned up. There are way to counteract this though.

WOW that supressor makes call of Duty sound accurate AF. Typically Suppressors aren't that quiet, and o where near as quiet as games like COD make them out to be. But this sounds exactly like a suppressed handgun in COD

They always told me that silencers don't work like in movies and games, and they're actually really loud.
Well that one sounds pretty similar to movie and game level quiet.
You can get even quieter if you put a silencer intended for an AR-15 on a .22lr pistol. Seen that first hand. The only noise was the action cycling and a small "phut" sound.
Some rounds are as quiet as the movies. With .22 subsonic rounds with a suppressor all you hear is the firing pin click. .300 blackout the action is louder than the shot but when the round hits dirt it sounds like someone beating a wet rug with a baseball bat.
The real purpose of silencers is to protect your eardrums, not for stealth.

I'd say go with a 45 can. Its not much louder than a 9mm dedicated can and the added flexibility is nice.
@@Gun_Dae I saw a video on TFB where they compared a 5.56 and a 30 cal can, and the latter was only about 4 db louder. Which, according to them, isn't even really perceptible to the human ear
@@regulardudegungearreviewsh3132 4 decibels are a lot more perceptible when you are dealing with suppressed handgun levels of noise. It's still not enough to warrant getting a dedicated 9mm can over a 45 can in my opinion, unless you are 100% sure you will never be shooting a handgun caliber bigger than 9mm.

I bought a banish 45 still in ATF jail but have a g19 gen4 all my ammo is in 147gr roughly 12k rounds
I love my glocks and the distinct slide sounds they make when chambering/racking

One time, I was shooting a nerf gun during a thunderstorm… after my third shot, I heard an ear screeching loud bang, I thought I mixed up nerfgun bullets with an actual shotgun shell into my nerf gun magazine but then I seen lightning & heard thunder so I put two and two together and came to the conclusion that it wasn’t a shotgun shell, it was thunder. It definitely threw me off.

Sound suppressors should be legal everywhere and without the "tax stamp" of 200 dollars. using a suppressor on a firearm when shooting, reduces the
"shock wave report" or concussion" to the heart and brain.
