Wheeker - my new Facebook Group. Feel welcome, say your piece, do not fear the admin and mods and walk around on eggshells. So silly. There appear to be attempts in certain guinea pig groups to control information, deleting what does not agree with personal beliefs and removing any posts not in line with what groups admin has decided is the one and only truth. Meaning, you don't even get to see opposing views!
Some of these groups have grown quite large. The manipulation and withholding of information is not a good thing. This is wrong in so many ways, free speech not allowed in fact.

Just Cute Guinea Pigs!! I grew some Sorghum and it had grown nice and tall so decided to give it all to the free range girls in the back, planter and all. And also meet some of our rescued chickens. We have two separate groups living on the ranch.

Sorghum is planted in our area for small-scale syrup production. Thanks to birds, we get volunteer plants in a variety of places.

I started watching this video beside my 3 sick girls currently living inside. Salt looked at my phone and walked over to the edge of her box. Missy looked at my phone, but no other reactions. Pepper didn't react at all
@@karaleetrapp i think Bandit's used to it now but the first couple times she freaked out.
@@karaleetrapp Surprisingly my pigs have never reacted to her video intros. Heck, they don't even react to the sound of a crinkling bag. I give them plenty of veggies and fresh grass and other forage along with hay and pellets , maybe that's why they're so quite. They have everything a piggy could want food wise.
Growing up i had dogs, rabbits and hamsters, my cousins had the pigs, and i have always loved the little noises they made. I now have cats, but I love watching your channel and learning about the little Pigs.
Always brings a smile and comfort to watch beautiful piggies enjoying food. The background bubbly music is soothing too.

My piggie Autumn will give me the stank eye and show her teeth to me when she wants me to pick more stuff out the garden. I just love how they have their own personalities. They've been great pets to have to teach our children how to care for animals. My 3 year old Rosie will pick dandelions on her way home from nursery to feed our girls. Cutest thing with all the piggies eating at once. Three cheers to Saskia and her team for all of their dedication and hard work providing a safe place for these little creatures until they find their forever homes.
My piggies go nuts every time they hear the intro. When its feeding time, they actually place their little paws on their food bowl and one of them stands on his hind legs. They are turning 4 next month and will let me pet the top of their head as they eat.

Hi Grace, how are ya? Yes the babies are adorable. I got one baby pig and one adult. I just trimmed the nails on my adult pig, but the baby is only 5 weeks old but his nails are already sharp, but I'm too afraid to trim his nails because he's too skiddish still and so hyper. Well anyway, See you on the live feed tomorrow.
You inspired me to get a guinea pig and I really appreciate that. Their names are Sugar and Spice (Spice died). Since we lost her we got another baby and named her Carmel. She was only a couple weeks when we got her and she loves her sister, Sugar. Sending love and likes to try and help you with the guinea pigs.

Yay! I'm also growing some wheatgrass and things just for the piggies. If you want some cheap wheatgrass seed but maybe aren't ready for the big ol' 5lb+ bag, often you can find wheatgrass seed in Asian grocery stores for cheap! :)

I just got a girl from Petco in Virginia. She had ringworm that they treated her for. But when I got her home, she was sneezing. I have her set up to see the exotic vet next week.

When people get pets the ideal would be, to be, committed for life. However, if, for some unforeseen circumstance, I needed to relinquish my pet, I would think it best, to still be financially responsible ( unless it was financial hardship that caused the surrender) for the pets life. ‘Because, said rescue, has taken over the physical care and responsibility, and that is an enormous amount of help already.

Hi saskia, i think the box is too small for such big plants like sorghum. The roots need more space this kind of boxes are good for flowers. When we grow our tomato plants we use a pot which is 40 or 50 cm high. About 10 to 20 litres soil. So the plants have more food . But for the piggies it was a nice snack.😘
Yes it is, I usually sow them directly into the ground but it is too late to get in the season to get a plant to grow and produce seeds right now.
so will save the bilk till next year. I am growing wheat grass as well now though !!

I love my hens as well. So much personality just like piggies. I have a similar mix of rescues- horses, pigs, geese, cats a dog and hens and now 3 male guinea pigs. Thanks for all the great information that helps me give them best life possible b😊❤️. Voting every day!

When I lived in South Dakota they called sorghum "cane". Really confused me until I figured out their cane was what I knew as sorghum. Some grew it for syrup. Some grew it for grain for cattle. A very versatile plant.
Ah yes they make syrup from the grains!! It is one of those "ancient" grains that you don;t hear about anymore. What is cool is that one day a plant started growing and turned out to be sorghum. Maybe a chicken pooped it out at the right spot? So all my sorghum still comes from that first plant

I don't just post the channel as a comment for everyone I also look for people asking questions about guinea pigs and than look for the right video related to what they are asking and tell them all about how you helped me and I think it's finally starting to pay off I know I got a few who saw your older videos that answered their question. So they said they liked it, I just happy when I can help lead people the right way whether to here or Scotty, just so it helps them and you guys for being awesome

Edit: Thank You for sharing. I'm just curious about something. With all the fires and how dry it is there, it surprises me anything really grows in the south and central parts of Ca,. It's always been a dream to at least visit out west. If I can ever get over my fear of traveling I'd love to see this place see all the piggies. I love these little furry critters so much.
