I seen the Stones in 89 at Busch Stadium St Louis. I was wishing Chuck Berry would show up and do a couple tunes with them. He didn't ,but his Piano player-Johnny Johnson did. It was great, but I wish Chuck would have. Afterall he was from STL.
Although some complain about Queenie taking up precious grooves on Ya-Ya’s, I love that version. BTW, I was at the Friday late show at MSG for that ‘69 tour!
Fui a 16 Show dos Stones Na minha City RJ, fui em todos eles, só não fui no Show em Copacabana no meu bairro porque estava trabalhando estava abordo, mas no mesmo ano assisti na Argentina !
This was the music that inspired them to form the band in 1962. Nobody does it better! Btw, while touring together in UK, Chuck Berry punched Keith in the nose for picking up his guitar w/o permission! True history!
Meanwhile I was thinkin' If shes in the mood No need to break it I got the chance, I take it. Reminds me of my teenage days. We always never made it with the girls. Ah well.
they got old?so did we, i prefer them, even now from electronic dapa doopa of people playing with computers knowing nothing from playing an instrument or singers from televoting, hip hop etc.
Interesting to compare this with their 1969 performance of this tune at Madison Square Garden: czcams.com/video/CfV7eSoRpCk/video.htmlsi=J0Cf0rkzPzQXNLHj Which one do you like better?
Sounds a bit like Johnny Be Good. This is the first time l've heard this song. So far so good. Someone once told me Mick hasn't got a good voice, but knows how to use it. If that's true he's certainly very good. If l hadn't heard of the Stones playing this, l'd probably think it's an African American bluesman. Wow, Mick and the whole band sound so good. If there was a band that was meant to be together it's the Stones. They were meant to do this. Because if you look at say a bit under half of their existence, they had plenty of material, at least that the public's aware of, to forge ahead. A lot of bands have come and gone, some because they didn't have the people in place etc etc. But l'm glad the Stones stayed together, because it would've been such a waste of their talent. Which reminds me of Keith once saying they knew they've got something with this band. It shows whenever they play, the excitement looking at each other, and the crowds loving it to.
Please don't say ' ìconic' again. Mick Jagger is not a good singer, more like a shouter. Keith Richards is a mediocher guitarist. Charlie Whats and Bill Whyman are competent musicians. Together, they are fantastic rock band.
This isn't just "Rock Music" (or "Rock with no Roll")... This is true and pure "Rock 'n' Roll".
That snare drum sounds perfect RIP Charlie Watts
Love hearing the Stones play Chuck Berry classics… so good!
Me too, that's what brought me here🕺🎶🎸🔥☘️
Pppp@@donhanlon7121
They do Chuck tunes better than he ever did them. They're rockin' here !
@@terrycarthy4433 was thinking the same , especially this one when they were younger!!

Just fantastic!! 😄🎉🥳
Nobody can touch them!!
Chuck Berry could :)
Absolutely fantastic
The best band on this planet
They are from another planet !
Keith is definitely in his natural element, Gibson ES330 playing Chuck "Crazy Leg's" Berry!❤
They own this stuff and the need to play more of it
Superb ! 'I lifted every lick he ever played...' - K. Richards on Chuck Berry.
Keith Richards' guitar playing is exceptionally cool!
The coolest one
Keef!!

Can't get any better than that.
That's how rock Queenie, keep it moving
Rock`n Roll pure !
Pure Chuck Berry, great cover here.
No one rocks like jagger. What a version, the stones keep that rhythm up like a steam train.
Charlie is the engine that drives them ❤
Thanks for all the posts Deltics, gone but not forgotten. A true Stones legend🙏
El mas grande compositor de rock !!!-CHuck BERRY.ahi maman todos!!!
I was there...and also saw the two dress rehearsals in days prior!
No one covered Chuck Berry better than The Stones. No one.
No one plays the 88's like Chuck Level
He’s great on this performance isn’t he?
Great stuff!! Just GREAT!
love this, watched it about 20 times, Mick in that coat tho looks like an overgrown toddler bundled up for a cold day.
Great version. They did it on get yer ya yas out 1969. Just great
Love that tape, still playing it and dancing like Jagger😅
Although some complain about Queenie taking up precious grooves on Ya-Ya’s, I love that version.
BTW, I was at the Friday late show at MSG for that ‘69 tour!
Best version I've ever heard the Stones do of this Chuck Berry classic!!

Little Queenie is a BIG favourite of mine. jagger is unbelievable here. perhaps the best LQ I've ever seen. Killer!
Not a patch on the Ya-Ya's version!

Still brilliant & still untouchable here !! 😂
I've ever seen Chuck Berry or any other covers, but this is very very good.
Nothing will beat the stones 1969 version of little queenie
T
Grandpa's tempo 😢
Indeed Charles is good t night en ee, where's Keeef
agree
Back then they did it like old men but here they sound like youngsters. Which is better is down to preference I guess.
I was at MSG for their 1969 tour! Unforgettable experience.
Good rock and roll.

Fantastic!
A big performance!

Its Only Rock and Roll, but Stones are The Best! Keith is Argentinian!

We always never made it with the girls. Ah well.
A primeira música 🎶 que eu ouvi na vida foi Little Queenie 1868 ..
Tá bom ou você quer mais baby.....
1868?
I don’t think The Stones have been around that long.
They’ve never been the same since Mick Taylor left. Arr well never mind.
so good !!!
The audio is great. Wasn’t this opening night on the B2B tour? I have the full show somewhere, but it sounds nowhere near as good as here.
Voor lieve Laura 🎉🎉🎉😅😊
Mantap
Супер !!! Интересно в каком году было это выступление ?
super version rapide
I mean excellent- but SO much better with the slow, sleazy, narcotic tempo they employed in the early seventies...
Yeah... Yas Yas is miles better than this version.
That's because they had a slow , sleazy , narcotic audience .
With the young MT!!!!!!
So where is this from ???
they got old?so did we, i prefer them, even now from electronic dapa doopa of people playing with computers knowing nothing from playing an instrument or singers from televoting, hip hop etc.
A true toe tapper
Chuck Berry would be happy

Ronnie !
Ron nie n'est qu'un canard qui est mauvais à la guitare 🤢
Sounds like the bass is playing the theme from the Munsters tv show ? Needs Bill .
One of the best versions post ‘72 and no mick Taylor!!
Où est Keith ? Lui qui jouait si bien avec Chuck !!!!
'Where is Keith'?! He's driving the whole thing as usual!!😄😂🥳
Been a Stones fan for years, this is ok, but not a patch on the Yer-Ya-Ya's Out version, of course with Mick Taylor!
It’s about 28 years later so naturally it’s going to be different but still super fun. Enjoy the 2024 version if they play it this coming tour .
Jagger actually dressed well for the gig
Is that Joan Jett ? Sure looks like her !!

80 yr man singing about a 17 yr old girl...lol
The version from '69 is unbeatable.....this song from '97 sounds like a sellout, without soul.
OK, other band slap down Keith...

Desperately needs tightening up..Drumming is poor..Just the piano player is on top form.
You understand nothing on what R&R is all about.
I guess you’re into Taylor Swift 🤮
This is totally out of tune
It’s your ears dude.
You need to get them sorted.
Uninspiring vocals.
yep, going thru motions
Как хочу услышать в сопровождении оркестра!
