      More than 50 years. Jagger & Richards had Eric with them prior to the Stones. They were playing together with other guys. That's why Eric plays some lead on "Blue & Lonesome'. They did those Jimmy Reed songs back then.

      For his birthday he was given a tortoise that could live up to 200 years. He became upset and emotional, he asked why anybody would buy him a pet that would not live as long as he will.
      Joking aside, both are brilliant and I think we would all like to take them to the pub, buy them a beer or twenty and hear about their life.

    Nobody is as heavy as Keith Richards. When it comes to getting as real as real gets Keith is in a league of his own. His vocals were fantastic and his playing always leaves me in awe. If you don't know what I mean then you really don't get keef.

      austin angler Keith was a choir-boy for many years. Getting older has put some husk in his voice, which was a bit reedy in youth. You can hear him sing on the Some Girls album, which is one of their best.

    This is great! Two really different approaches to playing the blues: Claptons style is more about the ferocity and Keiths style is more about the rhyhm and ground beat

    Keith and Eric, one perhaps the greatest guitar player ever and the other perhaps the greatest rock and roll legend and greatest writer opening riffs of all time. Royalty baby. The day Richard's passes will be the worst day in rock history. Imagine if he had not been born or died at 27. No stones, no honky tonk woman, no let it bleed, no sympathy for the devil, no street fighting man and on. And no playing in the key of richards...his open tuning style. That's the difference between clapton..a God and Richard's a miracle.

    I think these guys go back more like 65 years. I got hip to the Stones around 63-64. Then Clapton in 66 with Fresh Cream.. im 70.

      Very true, Keith is best at singing blues. He sings it better than some true blues men honestly. He plays the blues better now honestly. Don't get me wrong he still plays Stone songs pretty good too, but seems he's slightly better at blues now.

      Don't worry Keith is no Brian Jones or Mick Taylor but he has his moments like on the album Beggars Banquet where he basically did all the guitar work except for a bit of slide from Brian. He did the great opening to Can't You Hear Me Knocking and many other great riffs. Not really a true lead guitarist but a damn good riff master.

    seen some amazing shows and crowd responses at the Garden, but it was hard to top this one. When the spotlight hit Keith the entire place went crazy. Nobody was expecting that.

    Steve Jordan on drums? What kind of miracle happened that lead to this god lineup? I honestly had no idea Steve backed Clapton. Sweet stuff.

      To be honest he works with Keith most of the time and there great mates. I would say it b keef that got Steve in even tho his playing says it all. He also did long live rock and roll with chuck
