More than 50 years. Jagger & Richards had Eric with them prior to the Stones. They were playing together with other guys. That's why Eric plays some lead on "Blue & Lonesome'. They did those Jimmy Reed songs back then.

Nobody is as heavy as Keith Richards. When it comes to getting as real as real gets Keith is in a league of his own. His vocals were fantastic and his playing always leaves me in awe. If you don't know what I mean then you really don't get keef.

This was really fun to watch, I loved it. The simplicity of it I think, is what made it sound so great. Proving once again, that you dont have to be a guitarist that can play scales a million miles an hour to be a great guitar player!!
This is fantastic. Keith is getting better in every way. I never used to like him, but during this past year I have been gaining respect for him. Now I find this, I'm blown away.
76 assholes voted down this video. I can really respect Keith Richard's playing. Whenever I play the Stone's rhythm riffs I'm reminded just how easy they sound, yet so damn difficult to master. Keith's talent definitely lies within his right hand.

This is great! Two really different approaches to playing the blues: Claptons style is more about the ferocity and Keiths style is more about the rhyhm and ground beat
Keith and Eric, one perhaps the greatest guitar player ever and the other perhaps the greatest rock and roll legend and greatest writer opening riffs of all time. Royalty baby. The day Richard's passes will be the worst day in rock history. Imagine if he had not been born or died at 27. No stones, no honky tonk woman, no let it bleed, no sympathy for the devil, no street fighting man and on. And no playing in the key of richards...his open tuning style. That's the difference between clapton..a God and Richard's a miracle.
Older weathered but sounding Great ! These Men are Masters , Long Live the Blues , Long Live Clapton and Richards ! Real damn Good Rock and Roll ! Pass the Whiskey !
It's hard to believe that in the entertainment business anyone can have this much staying power by being nothing more than excellent at what they do. No spangly outfits, no backing tracks just fabulous music and fabulous performers.
+Kirk Lorange That's the funniest thing I think I've ever heard. Still laughing. Thanks Kirk. Funnier than Clapton shreds even. Holy cow. Good one. But Keith is awesome.
Very true, Keith is best at singing blues. He sings it better than some true blues men honestly. He plays the blues better now honestly. Don't get me wrong he still plays Stone songs pretty good too, but seems he's slightly better at blues now.
Proof that Keith can still play, I really hate when people say Keith can't play anymore. In your 70s obviously there will be some changes and Keith's had some guitar wise, but not a whole lot.
Don't worry Keith is no Brian Jones or Mick Taylor but he has his moments like on the album Beggars Banquet where he basically did all the guitar work except for a bit of slide from Brian. He did the great opening to Can't You Hear Me Knocking and many other great riffs. Not really a true lead guitarist but a damn good riff master.
seen some amazing shows and crowd responses at the Garden, but it was hard to top this one. When the spotlight hit Keith the entire place went crazy. Nobody was expecting that.

To be honest he works with Keith most of the time and there great mates. I would say it b keef that got Steve in even tho his playing says it all. He also did long live rock and roll with chuck
Two titans who have known each other for the best part of sixty years, and still going strong. Long may they continue to pay homage to the blues.
I could not have said that any better myself.
Let it be!
Amen😊

And Marcus Miller on bass ??🤔
@ironpluma thanks! :-)
Keith can't sing
These 2 cats go back 50 years together. It's a miracle they're both here to tell the story. I'm thankful they are.
I was at this concert, Crossroads 2013. Keith was surprise guest for us. Loved it. These are the greats!

I never realized how good of a singer and player Keith actually is.
10 years ago and an all show Keith singing could be to much.

Been listening to Clapton since the 60s, love him, still the best! Was at this concert and Keith was a treat!

Adoro a Clapton y Richard pero como hendrix no.

Man, Keith just owns this! Playing those Robert Johnson licks and singing great!
Amazing how these two cool cats are still here but we are grateful they keep singing the blues.

Thank you for this. These two giants performing without the hype, just a natural flow is fantastic.
It's listening to this that makes me feel ol' keef is a hugely underrated singer he just has the feel of this, awesome!
