  • Welcome to JustTenMoreMinutes aka JTMM aka The Freakin 10! This really helped explained the song and while I didn't like the short burst lyrics, this history episode is one of the most informative I have watched so far about something that still exists today with the conflict in the Middle East.

Love your reactions, love Sabaton. Did you know that Nanowar of Steel will publish a song/video with Joacim of Sabaton singing in the next few weeks? Most probably before their new record releases next month. :D

Most of the boarders talked about here only existed since the 1920s. Almost arbitrarily drawn by British and French colonial forces after the defeat of the Ottoman empire in ww1. All that territory was part of the Ottoman Empire for nearly 500 years. Before that it was Byzantium which was the successor state to the Roman Empire. The 20th century is the 1st time any of those countries have had their own self determination since before the time of Jesus. They are still working it out....

This. Straight country border lines on the map is a hint to the history of those borders. Those are not natural borders, they are Britain and France's arbitrary divisions of the broken Ottoman Empire which displaced people at the time (and continues to do so), people who found themselves amongst random borders and new states.

Simple old rule about teritory , if you cant defend it ,then you dont deserve it. Who cares when and how Israel was created, Palestine lost that teritory and it's their fault to allow that happens. Winners makes the history and rules not the losers.

Hm so at 22 minutes, or about there, you talk about different religions. But... Technically, Christianity is a branch out of Judaism. That's how it all began for "us" who are considered christians. Like it or not, it's a fact. And I am not entirely sure when or how Islam came to be, but I do know for a fact that Judaism, Islam and Christianity all have the same names for important people, prophets and arch angels. So, in theory, we are fighting over the linguistic name of our god. We might aswell have named the Christian god Sven and it would still be no different from Allah. This is my opinion, don't lynch me. But just look at the whole picture of our three holy scripts, they all tie together and should not separate people but tie us together similarly.
And to throw out "well the Quran says" yeah well to all of you people I ask did you ever read what the Bible says? It's not a walk in the park. There are stonings, rapes, murders, incest, all of the horrible things that are also in the Quran. So stop pointing fingers.
That the tension between Israel and the surrounding countries such as Erypt and Syria exist isn't just out of religion. If it really is. Bottom line is, Israel are smack in the middle of people that apparently don't want them there. I can understand that Israel wants to defend. But what is going on today and recently is horrible. I don't want to blame either Palestine or Israel. It is a tension that has become overpowered and that is an impossible situation. From outside perspective, it might seem like "shake hands and eat dinner together, problem solved" but that's not gonna happen. It could, perhaps, in the future. I hope it will become peace. If we could only understand that we are all humans and we don't need to separate ourselves with religions, because all i nall the religions arent that different.
I like this song, though. And what Israel managed to do is impressive, especially since they were locked between powerful nations that were taken by surprise and never really could strike back. Perhaps some wounded egos are at play still today.
But I understand why Sabaton isn't doing more songs (at least not yet) about these wars. Since the conflicts are still ongoing.

Islam started In 610 a.d and Allah is not the name of God, Allah is just the Arabic word for God. All three abrahamic faiths find saying God's actual name as disrespectful.

Histories like this make me even more negative towards religion.
