Hey brother. I was the one that recommended the tinybot. That clear covering absolutely needs o be removed prior to you glassing the product. If you leave it on there then it will not stretch the way you want, and you will run into the heating issues you ran in to. Another thing I will say is that I have never torn a vinyl wrap when trying to apply it so you may be applying too much stretch or heat. I hope some of this helps. Great job sticking with it though it’s coming out great.
Great info! Makes sense to me hearing it outload. I know id be worried about scratching the film and wanting to leave it "protected". However having the correct "squeegee" makes all the difference in not marking up the finish.

Spray a tad bit of water on the squeegee and on top of the film but not a lot, and don’t worry about the scratches the heat from the sun will take the scratches away

Have you thought about a contrasting color or pattern on the top, trunk and hood? Might look more intentional if it doesn’t match the sides.

Remove the windshield. It's cracked anyways so remove it wrap it then install new windshield.

I never comment on shit, but... Man... Use cast, not cal vinyl, as you have little/no exp. You should be able to glass all the panels pretty much with cast with ZERO heat... Cheetahwrap is decent and under $500 for a 75' roll.. Just used it myself recently and have had positive results overall so far... Also, get your self some adhesive promoter, dnt use 3m 90, they aint even close to being the same.
